Percy's POV

6 Months Later

I never thought I would say this, but after spending 6 months with Artemis I am starting to like her.

Don't get me wrong I liked as a friend before and even let her live with me but now I like, like her.

To recap the last 6 months, after I met her on the beach I found out she had nowhere to stay so I offered her my spare room. She now lives here and we became inseparable. We didn't go anywhere without each other. I found out that she has amnesia and don't get me wrong I was going to bring her to Olympus but I couldn't get myself to.

She and I have gotten to know each other better than I ever knew her.

Artemis is my best friend and I don't want to lose her. I think that's why I can't do it. I think I am in love-WAIT WHAT?!

No, I can't be in love with Artemis she is a maiden goddess.

I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts when a hand moves infant of my face.

"Mason? Anyone home?" Artemis asks.

"I'm sorry what?" She rolled her eyes at me.

"Can we go to the fair today?" She asks me smiling with her hand on my chest. Just let me die and go to heaven now, please.

"Um, s-sure." I stumble saying.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She says wrapping her arms around me. "I'm going to go change then we can leave." With that she releases me from the hug, she kissed me on the cheek and skips to her from.

Once she was out of sight I touched the spot she has just kissed me where is still tingled.

"Let's go!" She says with the smile that makes my heart melt.

I get my keys to my black Jeep and head to the fair.

"Two wristbands please," I ask the man in the booth. He takes my money an tells us to have a good day. It's a busy day at the fair since its 95 degrees and sunny, so I grab Artemis' hand making her blush, and move my way through the crowd.

"I still don't know how you pay for everything." She mumbles.

I had told her that my family was very well off so I didn't need to work but I never explained any further to her annoyance.

"Can we go on that ride?" She asks me pointing at the Ferris Wheel.

"Sure," I say. She looks over at me smiling making me smile and lead the way.

We wait in line for about 5 minutes when we get onto it. When we get to the top we stop. I look over at the other carts and people are starting to freak out but I still relaxed along with Artemis. Even though Artemis doesn't remember anything she is still who she was before, just a little different.

"Well, I think someone's trying to tell me something." I hear her say.

I scrunch my eyebrows and look at her in confusion. And then she says what I've wanted to hear her say for so long.

Artemis' POV

I look over at the sea green-eyed man I have fallen for and decide it's time to tell him my feelings.

"Mason." He looks at me worried. "Over the past few months, you have become my best friend and god I don't know how to do this!"

"Just say what you mean by the heart." He says.

"I like you. Like really like you. I know that you don't feel the sam-" I was cut off when his lips smashed into mine. Our lips moved in sink as I deepened the kiss.

My first kiss with the man I love. Yes, love. I love Mason Davis.

We break apart and rest our foreheads against each other the Ferris Wheel still not moving. I open my eyes to find him already looking at me, creasing my cheek when I suddenly start seeing things.

I suddenly see a younger version of Mason holding something for me. I start fighting someone. Then it hit me.

I pull away from him and he looks at me confused.

"Artemis what's wrong?" He asked concerned.

I look into his beautiful sea green eyes and smile.

"You saved me."

"What?"

"I remember you saved me when I was kidnapped by Atlas."

He looks at me with wide eyes, then looks away almost looking heartbroken.

"I need to take you back to Olympus." He says not meeting my eyes.

"Percy-" Then the Ferris Wheel starts moving.

When getting off and we head to the car.

When we get home he starts packing his bags and told me to pack my bags.

I grab his arm and turn him to look at me. That's when I see the tears in his eyes.

"We need to get you back Lady Artemis." With that, he leaves the room and I fall to my knees sobbing.
