Goodbye For Now?

Percy's POV

Olympus

Silence.

All we got from our family was silence.

I looked over at Artemis squeezed her hand. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. I kissed her forehead then put a hand on her stomach and smiled up at her.

"I knew it!" Aphrodite squealed shaking Drama Queen (aka Zeus)

"YOU DARE GET MY DAUGHTER PREGNANT YOU SEA SPAWN!" Zeus exploded aiming his master bolt in out direction. I immediately moved to be in front of Artemis to protect her and the baby from harm. If he wanted to harm the love of my life and my first born child, he would have to get through me.

Before anyone could say anything 3 immortals flashed into the room: The Fates.

We all bowed before the old ladies.

"Zeus you can't harm them or the child."

"And why is that?" Zeus asked crackling with electricity.

"Because this child is destined to be the hero of their generation like their father."

"What do you mean hero? Don't you mean immortal?" Athena questioned.

"Oh, my," Hera said drawing attention.

"What?" Athena asked eagerly.

"The child isn't immortal because-"

"Because the child was conceived when he was still a demigod." Hestia finished.

I looked at Artemis who was already looking at me with tears in her eyes because the one thing she always wanted to do she could.

She couldn't raise our child.

"You are both correct." One says. "When the child arrives at camp, Perseus shall claim the child."

"Wait why? Would our child already know I'm their father?" I asked with worry.

Then a portal opened up in the middle of the throne room and out came Chaos. Everyone but me bowed to him, which he quickly thanked me for.

"Lord Chaos, what do we owe the pleasure?" Artemis asked talking through the pain in her voice.

"Oh dear... I am so sorry this has to happen." He then looks at me and gives me the worst news of my life. "Percy... you are forbidden from raising this child."

"No," I say standing back in front of Artemis protectively. "You're not taking our child away."

"Percy, I must or the future of Olympus and the world will be in great danger." He says sadly.

I looked back at Artemis and say the horror on her face. I hugged her as she cried for our child as the rest of the council went silent.

"Who will care for our child?" I asked through my own tears. "I won't let them go through what most demigods have to," I stated firmly with Artemis and the rest of the council nodding their heads in agreement.

"And that is why you will choose who will be rising the child."

I looked back down at Artemis who was staring at the floor in front of her in my arms.

"Percy I know this is awful and no one should have to go through this, but this is whats best for your dau-child." Artemis' head snapped up to meet Chaos'

"Where were you saying?" She asked putting her hands on her stomach.

"Good job grandfather." One scolded. "But yes he was saying you are having a daughter."

I looked at Artemis to see a pained smile on her face. I hug her again and rub her back while still facing the 4 powerful immortals.

"And just a little something for you to both know... your mother was also pregnant with a girl when she was killed."

"Her name was going to be Estelle, bust nicknamed Stella."

"Star," Athena said. "The name means star."

With that the four flash and portal out of Olympus.

After another awkward silence, Artemis finally asks what I've been wondering.

"When will she be born?"

"Two weeks sis," Apollo says.

"Artemis, you will be staying on Olympus until you have given birth to the child. Perseus will also be here."

"Yes, Sir."

"Yes, father." We both said.

"Good now council dismissed."

~~~Time skip Two weeks Later~~~
"AWWWWWW," Artemis yelled after her next contraction.
"You are doing amazing Artemis," I said kissing her temple.
"One more push," Apollo tells us from beside me as Hera delivers the baby.
After another push, a crying fills the room. Hera passed the baby to Apollo to clean up who then give it to us.
"Congratulations. You have a beautiful baby daughter." Apollo says smiling. "I'm finally an uncle."
The room door then flies open to reveal the rest of our family who were in "awe" at her. She had dark black hair like mine with natural highlights of her mothers light brown/auburn hair, she was tan like me, but her eyes are what got me. Her eyes were sea-green with specks of silver and gold, the perfect mix of Artemis and I.
"She's beautiful," Artemis said smile down at our daughter.
"She looks you," I said sitting next to her and putting my arm around her.
A portal opened up and out came the creator. He looked at my family and I sadly before he said the words like broke my heart.
"It's time." I looked over at Artemis and saw her hugging our daughter closely with a tear falling from her face.
"Can we have a few minutes to say goodbye to her as a family?" I asked pleading. Chaos nodded his head and ushered everyone but Artemis and me out of the room.
I looked back over at the love of my life and my daughter and hugged thumbnut saying anything, just savoring the time I have remaining with my family. Artemis snuggled up into me and holding my daughter where I could perfectly see both of their faces.
"Percy, what are we going to name her?" Artemis asked me.
"Zoe," I said smiling. Artemis looked up at me and kissed me.
"Zoe Stella Jackson." She said looking back down at our daughter.
"I love it." We both said at the same time. I kissed her head and looked back down at Zoe.
"Percy?" Artemis said getting my attention again. "Can you me put this on her?"
I helped put the silver moon necklace on Zoe's neck. It was long now, but soon it would be perfect for her.
"Percy monsters are going to come after her faster than normal because she's my firstborn. I know I can't interfere, but I can't let her..." I put my hands around the necklace and spoke in the language of the primordials. Artemis looked at me curiously. "What did you do?"
"Used my domain of heroes to make her scent seem like a mortal, as long as she's wearing it. It will stop working if she hasn't already made it to Camp by the time they need her." I said. Artemis kissed me again then kissed Zoe's head.
"It's time." Chaos said coming into the room. Artemis started crying. Apollo came into the room to soothe her.
"Before she goes can I hold my niece?" Artemis nodded to her brother and handed Zoe over. "Hi, little one. Gods you look exactly like your parents: the perfect mix of the two. You are the first child of my sister and will be the only demigod one. Your life will be hard, but maybe this will make it a little bit easier." He kissed her temple sending a golden Ora around her before it quickly disappeared. "You now will be better at music, art, and archery. You will also be able to tell when someone is lying or telling the truth and heal. Good luck and I will see you soon niece."
He handed Zoe back to Artemis and clapped me on the back before leaving.
"You will be the strongest and kindest hero of your generation. I will fight for you and will see you again. And when the time comes, you will know who I am, you will know who your father is, and we will be a family one day. I love Zoe." Artemis said kissing our baby one last time before handing her to me, breaking my heart. "Percy I know whoever you chose to raise her will do an amazing job."
"Are you sure you don't want to know who will have her?" I ask one last time looking up from my girl.
"If I know where she is I know I will try to get her and will break the Ancient Laws... I won't let her suffer for that." She kissed our daughter then me before looking away. "Go."
I did as she commanded cover my daughter's eyes and flashing to an Apartment in Manhattan, New York. I knocked on the door and waited for the woman who would be raising my daughter. After a few seconds, I heard some shuffling from inside. The door opened and reviled the redhead, green-eyed mortal who threw a blue plastic hairbrush at Kronos.
"Percy?" Rachel asked with disbelief in her eyes. "What are you doing here?"
"I need your help and you're the only mortal I know who can help," I said pleading while keeping eye contact with her so she wouldn't look down at my daughter yet.
"Okay, come on-" She cut herself off and looked down at the baby in my arms. She went wide eyes then she looked pissed and pulled me in by the shirt. She closed the door then glared daggers at me. "Explain now."
"This is my daughter... I know you have always wanted a child but you can't because you of the Oracle, so I knew you would be perfect for this.
"Perfect for what?"
"I am forbidden from raising my own daughter Rachel... and her mother can't either-" Rachel cut him off.
"Why can't her mother take care of her?"
"Rachel, her mother became pregnant with her when I was still a demigod," I said looking her straight in the eyes. "And to answer your question, her mother can't raise her because she is a goddess."
Rachels eyes went wide, then looked down at my daughter.
"W-would you raise her?" I said while a tear escaped from my eye.
"Why me?" She whispered looking back up at me.
"You are the only mortal I trust with my daughter," I stated firmly. I handed Zoe to Rachel who looked very nervous like she would break.
"Who is her mother?" I hesitated which she noticed. "I swear on the Styx I won't tell anyone unless you or the mother give me permission to do so."
"Artemis," I whispered. Her eyes went even wider this time they looked back at my daughter then back at me.
"She looks exactly like both of you." I laughed and she looked at me oddly.
"That's what everyone else has said." She nodded her head in acceptance.
"Is there anything I need to know before you leave?"
"If she asks about me tell her I was lost at sea, her mother went missing on a hunt in Washington Forest," I said. "Please tell her the stories of heroes new and old... The knowledge will help her one day. And before I forget, don't take the necklace off her or let her take it off-It bakes her seem mortal to monsters."
"Okay." She said rocking her. "Whats her name?"
"Zoe," I said. "Her name is Zoe Stella Jackson."
