'Sarah?' both of them looked at me waiting for an answer.

"Yes!' I sipped my caffè latte without paying much attention to them.

'You have a secret admirer!' Chloe's eyes were still glued on me. Her oval face with high cheekbones had the same confused expression. She batted her eyelashes innocently.

'I just wanted both of you to have a look at it, I can't keep these kind of things all to myself, you guys know that well' I laughed hesitantly looking at Chloe and then at Jeff who were now inspecting the letter thoroughly.

'Guys!' I snatched the paper away from them, crumbled it and threw it in the nearby dustbin. 'I wonder, who might he be?' 

Both of them looked confused and then they laughed. They laughed until their eyes watered. That left me pissed. 

'Come on, stop laughing now!' I made a sulky face and turned away from them.

'Sarah, I think that's Garret...that fat, grumpy fellow! I always felt that he had something for you, I caught him staring at you many a time.' Chloe laughed harder while I turned red with anger.

'Stop it...It can't be him. He already has a girlfriend.' I shouted at her with all my strength. 

'Oops..sorry!' both of them laughed. Their guffaws echoed in the large room causing strangers to search for the source of the loud bursts of laughter.

'Sarah, do not worry, its no big deal. That's just a simple letter! Its okay..' Jeff assured me in between his giggles.

'Yeah, I mean Sarah you're so cute...you took that simple thing seriously!' Chloe pecked me on the cheek. I pushed her away annoyed with all that sarcasm.

'I'm sorry!' she stopped laughing and hugged me tightly. 

'Its okay' I replied back with a frown.

'Hey girls, I need to go' Jeff stood up and took his jacket. He was sweating. The sudden  move swept away all the excitement from his face.

'What happened?' Chloe queried.

'I completely forgot! I had a date with Natalia. Its almost 7:00 now...I need to go..pray for me!' he hurried towards the door.

'Your phone?' Chloe waved his phone in the air shouting at him. He came running, grabbed it from her hand and made his his way towards the door. Both of us laughed at Jeff's recklessness. He was not at all good with timings and maybe that was the reason his relationships does not not last long. 

'Thanks!' he shouted back and disappeared. 

'Lets go, its too late!' Chloe turned towards me with a pout.

'Yeah or else mom would kick my ass and throw me out of the house' I replied sarcastically and she giggled.

Both of us walked down the street, holding hands and talking about all the recent and upcoming soaps. We hugged each other as our ways parted. 

'Bye Sarah. Its always nice to spend time with you and Jeff!' she chuckled and walked away with her head hung low. She looked cute even in the dark. Her black curls were neatly pulled back into a pony. She was wearing her favorite frock which I gifted her on her birthday. I watched her getting smaller and smaller till she was out of sight. I walked towards my home with a smile. 

Jeff and Chloe had something in common - I thought. Both of them had a painful past. Chloe's mother left her when she was young, Jeff lost his beloved sister...and me? I was the dd one out but I thank god for making me so lucky. I love my life for every single thing it has bestowed upon me. I have a family which is so supportive, friends who are my lifeline, a school to get good education, teachers who help me in every step and memories  which are so re freshening. 

As I was walking I saw a red car parked at a narrow corner of the street. There was somebody inside it but I couldn't figure out who it was for the engulfing darkness. I suddenly realized that someone was staring at me. I soon recognized the car and it sent shivers down my spine. It was parked outside Starbucks. Then why is it here? I gulped down my fear. Sweat trickled down my forehead and I was perturbed. The door of the car flung open and a faint figure stepped out of it. I still couldn't recognize the person. The dim light from the street lamps helped me to get a better view. The features stated that it was a man but I couldn't see the face properly. He was walking in my direction. As he came closer, I recognized him all at once. His face was in full view. I was shocked....

Why is he here?
