The Girl
"Ah! It looks so beautiful outside!" Asaki said to herself as she looked out the window of her cozy bedroom. She then put on her scarlet red robe which had blue sleeves with a blossom pattern on them and went into the kitchen.
Kameyo was waiting for her downstairs with breakfast made on the table.
"Well, hello Asaki! Sleep well?" she asked with a smile.
"My sleep was pleasant, thank you." she smiled, bowed and sat on a cushion near the table.
After breakfast was finished, she was off to babysit Hosato's daughter Mari while he worked in the fields. She walked up to Hosato's house and Mari ran excitedly to Asaki.
"Ki-Ki!" she screamed and hugged her. "Hello, Mari!" Asaki said as she hugged back.
Asaki and Mari were almoat like sisters. They both certainly enjoyed their company and got along really well.
"Thank you for watching her Asaki. I mean I would love to take her, but I'm not quite sure if she could handle his story." Hosato said
Asaki then gave a confused look.
"Wait, I thought that you were working in the Mulberry Fields today. And besides, who is this he that you speak of?" Asaki questioned
But before he could answer and before Asaki could ask another question, they heard a voice say:
"If you must blink, do it now!"
And without warning, a strum of an instrument sounded.
Curiously struck the girls. The strum had seemed to be coming from the town square. So, Asaki and Mari ran towards the center of town and Hosato followed behind them.
In the square there was a huge crowd of people looking curiously towards the center. To get a closer look, Asaki, Mari and Hosato both move in between the many people surrounding them.
For Asaki, her ears hadn't decieved her, there really was a boy there.
