All were shocked specifically Athiya and Atharva. Virat, Sana and AK were having a smile on their faces.

Athiya: Rah...

She was just looking at her Rahul who was standing on his feet after years.

Atharva (whispering): Papa..

Rahul: Surprise...

He took small steps towards them and came to them. Athiya and Atharva both hugged him tightly. Rahul held his lifelines protectively. Tears were falling from Athiya's eyes like anything. Atharva too was not able to control his tears.

Rahul: Bas Baba.. rotlu nahi Banna hai

He tried to joke only to receive smack from Athiya. They broke the hug. Rest all too hugged him one by one and congratulated him for the achievement.

Sana: Rah Chachu.. ab aap baith jao. Ek sath zyada der khade rahenge to body weight handle nahi ho payega. Body abhi weak hai iss hisab se

Rohit: Tumhe pata tha?

Virat: She is his doctor Ro. Use nahi pata hoga to kisko pata hota..

Atharva wiped his tears.

Atharva: But you are bad Papa.. you are very bad. Maine mana kiya tha na.. bola tha na stop forcing yourself but you still forced.. why Papa?

Rahul smiled softly and cupped his one cheek with his hand.

Rahul: Agar force nahi karta to mere lifelines ke chehre pe aaj jo Khushi hai woh kaise dekhta batao

Athiya: Lekin woh baad me bhi ho sakta tha na Rah..

Rahul sighed.

Rahul: I.. I..

Rahul cleared his throat. Virat frowned.

Rahul: I wanted to give you something good to remember for today rather than..

Rahul again cleared his throat to control his emotions. Athiya hugged him to which he hugged her back hiding his face. He composed himself in the hug only. They broke the hug.

Agu: Congratulations Chachu..

Rahul: Thanks

Harry (in low voice): Tum door raho Rah, Tia aur Atharva se

Agu looked down. They had breakfast there in Rahul's room together.

All were happily talking in Rahul's room while he was laying down on the bed as all have forced him to give his body rest too and they have settled themselves either on couch, bed, chairs and floor and some were standing.

Arjun: Chachu.. Chachi.. Akku has played for India

Virushka were shocked. They looked at Vami who nodded in yes and then at AK who was looking here and there.

Virat: Congratulations Akku

AK: Thanks

They both smiled a little at each other.

Anu: Waise aaj lunch me kya banaye?

Atharva (excitedly): Dosa...

All chuckled.

Harry: Isko Rah ke jaise jitne time Dosa do utne time kha lega

Rohit: Agu bhi to Teri tarah jitne time theple do utne time kha leta

All chuckled but Harry just gave a small smile. The kids felt bad for him. Atharva went to him and hugged him from the arm casually for others but kids, Jassi and Harry knew he was trying to comfort him.

Rohit: Waise Atharva.. tumhe pata hai jab tumhare Mumma aur Papa ki shadi thi na.. tab hamari series chal rahi thi. Toss ke time pe Ravi Bhai Jaan bujh ke mujhe puchh rahe ki kon kon team me nahi hai.

All chuckled.

Atharva (confused): Kyu? Woh to hamesha puchhate hai na team Toss ke time pe

Rohit: Are woh puchhate hai but yeh unke chehre pe bhi dikh raha tha ki masti kar rahe the

AK (quite excitedly): To apne kya bola?

Rohit: Are meri shaadi thodi na thi jo mujhe sharam aaye. Maine to bola ki Rah is missing for obvious reasons

All chuckled and RahIya blushed. Rahul hold Athiya's hand secretly to which she smiled at him still the blush was intact. They both were looking at each other.

Virat: Haan aur tumhare Papa ki nazare nahi hat rahi thi uss din tumhari Mumma ke uper se..

Ritz: Waise woh to Aaj bhi nahi hat rahi..

She said while looking at RahIya and rest all followed her gaze. All saw them lost in each other.

Atharva: Bilkul aise kya?

All laughed at his question and it broke Rahiya's trance.

Anu: Haan bilkul aise hi dekh rahe the apke Papa apki Mumma ko.. wait.. I have a video with me

She went through a secured folder in her phone and found a video. She connected it to the TV and played. All watched the marriage video and media video. Athiya has literally pushed him to look ahead and not at her in the media video.

Atharva chuckled and so as others making RahIya blushed.

Atharva: Lekin Mumma Papa kitne pyaare aur dashing lag rahe hai. Mumma.. Papa ki jagah main hota to main to wahi ke wahi jitni baar bolo utni Baar shaadi kar leta. You were looking Soooo Lovely..

Virat: Beta apke Papa ne bhi same compliment diya tha apki Mumma ko..

AK: No offence Cha.. Lekin sahi me Main bhi Chi se tab ke tab jitni baar bole utni Baar shaadi kar leta. She is looking soo pretty

Jassi: Haash.. meri Sanjana Bach gayi

All looked at him. Jassi realised he said it out loud and bit his tongue.

AK: Are woh to Mera pehla pyaar hai kyu Chachi..

AK winked.

Jassi: Are kabhi to meri biwi ke sath flirt karna bandh kar

All laughed at this jealous side of Jassi.

Virat while chuckling looked at Rahul who was busy in looking at Athiya once again with his hand holding hers.

Virat: Achchha ab let's go. Apne apne kam pe lagte hai bhai..

Athiya: Are bethiye na..

Virat: Hum baad me aate hai. Let him rest for a while. Meds li hai na. Let's go guys..

He said last line quite in the ordering tone to which the boys looked at him with raised eyebrows. Virat rolled his eyes but signed towards Rahul who was looking at Athiya lovingly while she was arranging something on the table. The boys too got that these two really need some alone time together so they all agreed and left.

Sammy went after Rohit and Ritz to their room.

Sammy: Mumma.. Dada..

RohIka were surprised seeing her there.

Ritz: Aao na Sammy..

Sammy came inside.

Sammy: Woh.. mujhe baat karni hai

Ritz and Rohit looked at each other and then at her.

Rohit: Haan to bolo na baba..

Sammy: Woh.. main.. matlab.. mujhe.. woh.. actually..

Rohit: Idhar aao..

Sammy: Ji??

Rohit: Are idhar aao Baba..

Sammy went to him. He made her sit on the bed in front of him and hold her hands.

Rohit: Bolo kya hua?

Sammy: Dada.. I.. I am in love with someone

Rohit and Ritz looked at her with quite surprised expression.

Ritz: Sammy.. are you sure bachcha? I mean liking to nahi hai na sirf?

Sammy shook her head in no while looking down.

Rohit: Who is he?

Sammy: A.. Arjun..

Rohit and Ritz looked at each other and then at her.

Rohit: Apna Arjun.. woh Akku wala.. Woh Mr Security Incharge??

Sammy nodded in yes while looking down.

Rohit: Pakka?

Sammy nodded in yes

Rohit: Hash.. mujhe to laga tha ki pata nahi kon hoga

Ritz: Haan aur mujhe laga hospital wala koi hoga.. But I am happy It's Arjun

Sammy: Matlab?

Rohit: Matlab yeh Baba ki we know ki someone is there in your life lekin yeh sure nahi the ki woh hai kon. We were kind of confused you know.

Sammy: Matlab.. aap.. aapko koi problem nahi hai?

Ritz: Nahi Sammy.. hume kyu problem hogi bhala? We know he is a nice guy. But it's upon you two ki tum dono ko apne rishte ko kaise aage badhana hai

Rohit: I would suggest dono thoda time spend Karo sath me and then decide Karo

Sammy: Thank you Dada..

Sammy hugged him tightly to which Rohit chuckled but held her.

Ritz: Achchha.. sirf Dada ko thank you aur Mumma ko..

Sammy: Love you Mumma...

She hugged her too. Ritz chuckled but was happy that her daughter has selected the right guy.

Atharva was coming out of the washroom when he felt dizzy. He held his head while trying to reach out to the chair to hold it but his steps were faltering. He was about to fall when he was held by two strong arms who picked him and made him sit on the bed comfortably.

Atharva really didn't need to see the face of the person who has saved him.

Atharva: Bhaiya..

AK looked at him with worried face.

AK: Haan bachcha.. bhaiya yahi hai. Calm down..

AK made him have some water while Atharva kept resting his head on his chest. AK caressed his hair.

AK: Better bachcha?

Atharva nodded in yes.

Atharva: Sorry bhaiya.. aapse chhupana nahi chahta tha. Lekin itna kuchh ho raha tha ki bata hi nahi paya

AK: I know bachcha. I know.

Atharva snuggled more.

AK: Kya baat hai Atharva? What is going on in your tiny brain?

Atharva: Bhaiya..

AK: Hmm..

AK was continuously caressing his hair.

Atharva: Kya aap ek series khel paoge?

AK: Atharva I am not a cricketer.

Atharva: Hmm.. theek hai

AK: Kya baat hai Atharva? Kya soch rahe ho?

Atharva: Bhaiya.. Sach sach batau to ab itna..

He sighed.

AK: Itna kya Atharva?

Atharva took a deep breath.

Atharva: There is not much time Bhaiya.

AK (quite loudly): Atharva..

Atharva: Bhaiya..

AK: Aisa nahi bolte aur tum nahi bologe. Kuchh nahi hoga tumhe okay

Atharva sighed

Atharva: Bhaiya please listen to me..

AK: No Atharva.. maine bola na kuchh nahi hoga tumhe..

Atharva: I hope so too Bhaiya.. lekin..

AK: No lekin Atharva kuchh nahi hoga tumhe bas..

AK made his hold tighter as if Atharva would vanish if he left him. Atharva took a deep breath.

Atharva: Bhaiya.. I.. I want something..

AK: Haan bachcha kya chahiye?

Atharva: Actually.. not.. not something.. I.. I..

AK: Kya baat hai Atharva?

Atharva: I want someone Bhaiya..

AK looked at him with frown.

The entire day passed very much normally and with full of love for Athiya after so many years. She was having Rahul with her comforting her and showering her with his love. Him standing once again on his feet was one of the best thing she could have asked specially on the day on which they both were always used to be broken but this time, Rahul with his efforts has given her the best memory which will definitely fade one of their worst memory.

Rahul was sitting on the swing at the terrace. Tears were falling from his eyes. He was happy that he was able to give and make some good memories but he cannot forget whatever happened years ago on this day. Rohit has come for some fresh air and found him sitting there. He went to him and found him silently shedding tears. He took a deep breath and sat beside him. There was a complete silence for a while.

Rahul: Thank you B-Ro.. Thank you for everything

Rohit took him in a side hug.

Rahul: Thank you mujhe.. mujhe sambhalne ke liye. Agar uss time pe aapne nahi sambhala hota mujhe to pata nahi main Tia ko.. Tia ko kaise sambhalta.. Thank you..

Rohit: I have done nothing Rah. Maine bas wahi Kiya jo ek bhai ko karna chahiye tha

There was again silence for a while.

Rohit: Would you like to share?

Rahul didn't say anything.

Rohit: Vi ko bhejta hoon

Rahul: No B-Ro. Mushkil se sab khush hai aaj.. I.. I don't want him to be sad after knowing whatever happened. Aur.. aur waise bhi.. woh.. woh sab ab.. ab kaha.. matter..

He trailed off and gulped down as more tears fell from his eyes. He quickly wiped them.

Rohit: Rah..

Rahul: It's.. It's my idiot brain B-Ro.. kuchh bhi soch raha hai

Rohit: Kya baat hai Rah?

Rahul sighed.

Rahul: You know B-Ro.. kabhi kabhi na ek.. ek ajeeb sa khayal dimag me aa raha hai and.. and I am not able to discard it completely..

Rohit: Kaisa khayal?

Rahul: Agar.. Agar aaj.. aaj jo kuchh bhi hua tha woh.. woh nahi hua hota to.. to Atharva age me shayad aur chhota hota aur.. aur shayad uss din main usko leke nahi jata aur.. aur nahi usko head injury ki wajah se clot hota.. aur.. aur shayad aaj.. aaj mere bachche..

Rahul burst into tears. Rohit took him in a tight hug rubbing his back while he himself was having tears.

Rohit: Atharva ko kuchh nahi hoga Rah.. kuchh nahi hoga usko..

Rahul snuggled more. Tears fell from Rohit's eyes too.

Rohit: Sambhalo khud ko Rah.. Aur aage se aise khayal dimag me aane bhi mat dena okay. Ab bas na bachcha.. kab tak uss baat ko leke khud ko zimmedar mante rahoge tum aur Tia. Ab bas bachcha. Ab unn baato ko yaad nahi karna hai. Look at yourself Rah.. tumne khud decide Kiya na ki aaj ke din ki buri yaadon ko achchhi yaadon se replace karna hai and you did that too phir mat karo woh sab yaad Rah.. mat karo..

Rahul broke the hug and nodded in yes. He wiped his tears and composed himself.

Everyone were in the hall chit chatting. Agu was silent most of the time and so as Harry. His unusual silence was noticed by all but before anyone could say anything, Vami stood up and went to Col Batra

Vami: Sir.. Maine apko bola tha na I want to talk to you

Col Batra: Haan beta.. bolo na

Vami: Sir.. waise to.. you know ki mujhe decision lena tha..

AK hold Sana's hand tightly startling her. She was about to yell at him but his blank face stopped her. He was blankly looking at Vami and Col Batra. Arjun and Sammy were sitting together on the floor. He held her hand tightly making her frown.
Angad saw Amy was continuously tapping her foot even while sitting on the floor. He followed her gaze and understood she was stressed with whatever conversation was going on. Rohit casually looked at Virat who has held Anu's hand and she too has held Virat's hand as if both of them giving each other strength. Rohit frowned.

Vami took a deep breath.

Vami: Sir.. maine decision le liya hai

Col Batra and Mrs Batra's face became serious.

Col Batra stood up.

Col Batra: Aur kya decision liya hai?

Vami looked down.

Col Batra: I expect you to look into my eyes while conveying your decision Lieutenant Colonel Vamika Kohli

Tears collected in Vami's eyes but she composed herself. Vami took a deep breath.

Vami: Sir maine decide kar liya hai that I'll take VRS

ICT and kids except Virushka, AK, Arjun, Amy, Col Batra and Mrs Batra were shocked hearing her decision.

Arya (in mind): Jo ladki apni duty puri karne ke liye kisi bhi had tak ja sakti hai woh aaj VRS jaisa shocking decision kaise le sakti hai??
