It was the night of the red moon in the dragon realm... and everyone knew that when a red moon appears a hybrid royal was about to be born... or hatched. Dragon hybrid royals are born differently than regular dragons. Males and female hybrid royals are first born human. Males eventually grow their scales, their tail, their wings, and finally their horns. This happens around their teenage years. However, they still look a bit human. They can full transform into full grown dragons when threatened or feel the need to attack. Usually no other dragons can beat them, unless their opponent is another hybrid royal. A female hybrid is different, but not by that much. Yes they grow scales, a tail, wings, and horns. However, this doesn't happen for females till a much later date around their late twenties or early thirties. This happens because while a starts off maturing early its to learn to protect and/or conquer, depending on the dragon. The female learns to protect not only herself, but a family in the future if that happens.

So everyone was in celebration on the night of the red moon, but it wouldn't last for long when dragon slayers stole the egg of the hybrid royal family. This egg was bigger than normal regular dragon eggs and about the size of... you guessed it a baby. The dragon slayers were not aware of the hybrid royal facts and as a result stole the egg thinking they could own the dragon themselves and use the dragon to defeat other dragons. Imagine their surprise when they saw a baby inside. They didn't know how to care for a baby... they found it strange of course to be hatched from an egg. In any case if this baby was human they would give it away so it could find a new home, but if it wasn't... they figured they could find it again and just kill it.

The baby was left in an orphanage and for the longest time was never even given a name. The baby soon grew up and gave herself her own name. She called herself Rei by the age of five. She had long brown hair and brown eyes. She tried her best to be helpful, but was very often left alone and neglected. She even tried her best at pleasing the people who could adopt her, but was never adopted. As time went by she eventually reached an age where she could leave the orphanage and start a life. She had a job... that she hated and she lived in a small apartment all by herself. She never even found out her true birthday and so... she never celebrated it. Mostly because she didn't know when it was to actually celebrate.

Thirty years had soon passed since the horrible day in which the egg was stolen and the king and queen never gave up looking for their child. In fact an announcement was made to the other dragons. If any dragon could find their daughter they would not only be greatly rewarded, but they would have say in decision making when it came to the entire kingdom.

The king of dragons was pacing back and forth in the throne room. His long white hair was almost long enough to touch the ground. His skin was pale, but his eyes glowed a ominous bright blue that often lead other dragons in fear. He wore a white and dark blue cape that not only followed him as he paced back and forth, but hid his giant dragon wings. His outfit was all in white with a silver tail that wrapped around his waist and his white horns curved out almost looking like a crown on his head. He soon stopped his pacing when there was footsteps running towards the doors. He soon sighed in relief sitting down when the door knocked.

"Enter" he said with a loud boom in his voice.

The door opened with a giant boom as several hybrid royal dragons walked inside and bowed before the kind of dragons.

"Your highness" they all said bowing on their knees and he looked at each one of them.

"Tomorrow will be my daughter's thirtieth birthday and she will start to mature. You must find her before the dragon slayers do" said the king, as they all nodded their heads looking at him.

"Go" he shouted with his voice booming causing all the dragons to flee.

All the hybrid dragons walked through the portal the the human realm to try and find the lost princess. 

"How do we know its a girl we're looking for?" asked a small Dragonnet hybrid dragon. He had short black hair and dark blue eyes. His skin was fair and pale. However, he looked more human than anything at this moment because he passed through to the human realm portal.

All dragon hybrids that pass through to the human realm look human, unless their strong royal hybrids, they can transform if they need to. Non dragon hybrids tend to avoid the portal for obvious reasons. 

"Do you see a rampaging male dragon in the human realm? No? Than their child has to be a female, dumb ass" said a male with short red hair and yellow eyes. He was wearing royal garments of red and black. He was really well built and was standing on top of a roof looking down on the streets.

"Says the dragon who nearly burnt everything to a crisp when he matured" said a voice, as the male with short red hair growled turning his head to the right seeing a tall male with medium dark blue hair and green eyes. He also had royal garments, but they were more of a traditional tang suit in the colors of gold and black.

"Draco, seems like you followed me again huh?" asked the male with red hair.

"Follow you? Please... the human realm is quite large and you assure the one who followed me here... little Ryuu" said Draco, as Ryuu growled towards him.

"I'll bite your head off" said Ryuu, as Draco narrowed his eyes.

"And you wonder why your kingdom is looked down upon" said Draco, as Ryuu growled louder.

"Will the both of you shut up" said a voice, as they both looked behind seeing another male with long greenish blue hair and dull red eyes. He was much taller than Draco and had the look of wanting to kill everything in sight.

"Cadmus" they mumbled, as he glared at them.

"That's lord Cadmus to you two" he said, as both Draco and Ryuu took one step back as Cadmus took a step closer.

"Let's get this over with before I get pissed and start eating human children" he said, as Draco and Ryuu watched Cadmus spread out his wings and started flying in the sky.

"Was he serious?" asked the dragonnet, as Draco and Ryuu narrowed their eyes towards Cadmus.

"Knowing Cadmus probably" said Draco, as Ryuu sat on the ledge of the building.

"So Mr. know-it-all, if this princess will mature today. How do we know it will happen if she's at home?" asked Ryuu, as Draco sighed and glared at him.

"Think about it. If she doesn't know she's a dragon won't she scream? Won't she freak out?" asked Draco, as Ryuu smirked.

"Alright then, the race is on" said Ryuu, as they stopped hearing screaming in the distance.

"Race ya" said Ryuu, as Draco sighed while face palming.

"Idiot" mumbled Draco.

Meanwhile Rei was walking home from work. She worked at a  no name restaurant and tries very hard to earn her pay. She doesn't like her coworkers much and she tolerates her boss because she needs the money. She walked into the convenient store and picked up some food. Rei lived in a rather quiet city and her apartment was in a remote area near her job and the convenient store.

"Long night Rei?" asked the clerk at the store smiling at her, as Rei shrugged giving him the money for her items.

"Something like that" said Rei, as he nodded handing back her change.

"Have a good night" said the clerk, as Rei smiled sadly and once she took a step out of the store she looked up at the crescent moon.

Rei soon closed her eyes and then started walking home. Rei really wanted to know more about herself, but was also afraid to know why her parents gave her up. The people at the orphanage just told her she wasn't wanted and she was given to them. She didn't have any information about her parents and she found it really hard to talk with people. Rei walked into her apartment and started eating the dinner she bought at the convenient store. It was soon getting late and Rei got ready for bed wearing her black pajamas and fell asleep in her comfy bed.

However, in the middle of the night she didn't feel like herself. Her skin was itchy and her body felt hot. She got up and made her way to the bathroom trying to find some medicine... maybe she was catching a cold or something. She pulled some medicine out of the drawer in her bathroom and then she froze looking at herself in the mirror. She touched the mirror and wiped it with her hand. Maybe there was leftover makeup on it or something... despite the fact that she knew full well she never wears makeup. Rei touched her neck slowly and she started to freak out when touching her neck. Scales? How could she be growing scales? Was she poisoned? Was she hallucinating? Rei didn't know what to do, she started throwing things and then her eyes widened when she banged her fists on the mirror. 

Because in that moment that her fists banged on the mirror, she not only broke and cracked the mirror, but her fists, were not fists anymore... no... they were claws. Her body was covered in purple scales and she had dark blue claws. Her eyes then widened when there was banging on the door. Who could that be? She wasn't expecting anyone, nor did she scream causing for alarm. Rei kid her... claws. Under her armpits and slowly walked to the front door.

"W-who is it?" asked Rei, but there was no answer. Rei narrowed her eyes at the door and took a step back having a really bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.

She then ran for her bedroom door when the front door of her apartment busted open. Rei locked her bedroom door behind her and she bolted for her apartment window. If anything she was going to try and escape through the fire escape. She crawled out of her window and closed it behind her. She started to walk down, but her eyes widened seeing strange people walking up the fire escape towards her. She couldn't quite tell if they were all men or women, but one thing was for sure they dressed strangely covering their faces and running up towards her. Rei's eyes widened and ran up the fire escape to the top of the building. She soon screamed in shock when someone managed to grab her right foot.

"LET GO" shouted Rei, as she managed to kick her foot loose and ran to the roof of her apartment building.

Back with Ryuu and Draco they were growling in frustration while flying in the air.

"That's the twelfth female human we saved today. What kind of place is this? Having dragons save humans" said Ryuu, as Draco sighed while closing his eyes.

"Haven't you done any research when coming here?" asked Draco, as Ryuu sighed and flipped over onto his back while flying.

"I don't have to do anything I don't want to" said Ryuu, as Draco glared at him.

"And you wonder why your kingdom isn't taken seriously when your incharge" said Draco, as Ryuu glared at him.

"You wanna go? I'll take you here and now" said Ryuu, as Draco sighed.

However, they soon stopped in their tracks when hearing a scream and then shouting.

"That doesn't sound good" said Draco, as Ryuu sighed.

"Alright, fine, last one, but if its a human again I'm burning a building" said Ryuu, as Draco narrowed his eyes at him while they flew off.

Back with Rei she was soon surrounded by the strangely dressed people and she found herself on the corner of the roof. So she had to choose between going with these strangely dressed people or jumping to her death? She held her arms tightly and tears crawled down her face. She didn't want to die, but she had this terrible feeling that if she went with the strangely dressed people she would die anyway. Rei took a step back standing on the ledge, but her eyes widened and felt pain coming from her back. She wanted to bend over to shout, but if she did the strangely dressed people would try and grab her.

Well regardless in that time they tried reaching for her anyway and Rei ended up jumping backwards off the apartment building.

"HELP" screamed Rei, as she still held her body tight from the pain.

"Gotcha" said a voice, as Rei looked up seeing a man with red hair and yellow eyes. He was very nicely dressed, but she started freaking out seeing red bat like wings.

"P-put me down, put me down" said Rei trying to get out of the male's arms.

"W-whoa, hey not a good idea unless you like falling to your death" said the male, as Rei stopped and looked down.

She gulped and wrapped her arms around the male's neck.

"Oh, like what you see huh?" said the male, as Rei glared at him.

"Shut up" said Rei, as he smirked towards her.

"Oi Ryuu, unless you want to be skinned alive I suggest we book it. Those damn dragon slayers are catching up" said another voice, as Rei managed to see a man with medium dark blue hair and green eyes.

"Yeah, yeah" said the male known as Ryuu, as I watched when we started flying up higher.

"W-wait what are you doing?" asked Rei, as Ryuu smirked down at her.

"Don't worry your highness this won't hurt you a bit" said Ryuu, as Rei gulped and watched the two male stretch out their wings in unison. Then with one strong flap of their wings a huge blast of wind pushed the dragon slayers back.

"Lord Ryuu" said another voice, as I stopped seeing a pale skinned man with short black hair and dark blue eyes.

"Open the portal, Dragonnet. Quickly" said Ryuu, as the man sighed, but snapped his fingers. 

Rei's eyes widened in shock seeing a purple portal appear.

"W-w-wait, I'm not going in there" said Rei, as Ryuu looked down at her.

"Sorry princess, no time to explain" said Ryuu, as Rei growled in her throat and then she stopped feeling pain in her back again.

"Hurry, it seems like her maturing can't be held off much longer" said the male with medium dark blue hair and green eyes.  

Ryuu nodded his head flying towards the portal with great spped. Rei tried to object again, but it was too late they had flown through the portal and as they did Rei's body felt too hot and her whole body couldn't stand the pain which caused her to black out.
