Marius von Hagen
Marius started all of this planning for the amusement park trip. He thought it was going to be a swell day.
But then, he was the one who discovered you sitting on the bench. So, he had to ask, "Hey, kid. You okay there?" He snapped you out of your thoughts.
You have been staring at this man for a while. "Oh, sorry, Mister..." Your voice trailed off. But you stared at him until you realized who he was.
"Hey! Aren't you that current Pax guy? What are you doing here?" you guessed. He simply shook his head as he sat down beside you.
"Keep it down or else people are going to take pics with me," he mumbled. "Plus, I'm having fun at the park. What about you?"
"Psh, don't be silly; you never told me you were going with anyone!" you exclaimed.
"Ehh, it is just a coincidence, and where are your parents then?" Marius asked, shrugging.
"Um, about that. I might've gotten lost when I was returning someone's wallet," you responded with a nervous tone.
"Well, giving lost items back to people sounds like a good deed, but you could've told your mom or dad. Worse things could have happened to you!" he lightly scolded you.
"I was doing it for the greater good, Mister Marius," you sighed. "Anyways, we have to find my dad; he's got to be in the crowd!"
Before you got to rush on your own, Marius lightly pinched your ear, making you flinch in response. "Ow! What was that for?" you exclaimed.
"Rushing into situations doesn't make you any better. You are coming with me while we find your dad," Marius smirked.
As you rolled your eyes, Marius then suggested the carnival games section of the park. He remembered that your family went there earlier, so you followed him.
In the colorful array of booths and attractions, they each promise exciting challenges and prizes. "Hey, kid. I bet you're not bad at carnival games. You sure you wanna beat my luck at these prizes?" he playfully asked.
You grinned eagerly. "Sure, I'm up for the challenge. But be prepared to lose, mister!" you teased.
Your first stop is the ring toss booth, where rows of bottles were stationed from across the counter. Marius stepped up first, his brow furrowed in concentration as he aimed the ring at the bottleneck. He proudly managed to land the ring after a few attempts, earning a small teddy bear.
When you took your turn, you slowly focused on your aim. With a flick of the wrist, you managed to land one of the bottles with a satisfying clink. The carnival worker awarded you a small bubble stick.
After a while, you both headed to a Whack-a-Mole booth. As it turns out, you and Marius took turns wielding the mallet and attempting to whack the mechanical moles as they popped up from their holes.
There was even a duck pond booth, where each number was for a prize. And that was the place where your father and brother were also there!
"Hey, I see them!" you cheered. He smiled as he led you to the booth.
"(Y/N)! Oh thank goodness you're safe. We've been looking everywhere!" your father said.
"Don't worry, dad! I managed to find you with the help of a nice stranger!" you said.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Von Hagen!" your father said, turning to Marius with a grateful smile. "This amusement park is getting a little too large for me. I think I got confused on the map."
"Haha, it's no problem, really," Marius replied, chuckling. "So, what are you two planning to do next?"
You glance at your dad, who looks a bit flustered but smiles. " We were thinking of trying out the Duck Pond fishing game. I heard they have some fun prizes."
Marius grins. "Great choice, then!"
A cheerful attendant then greets your family and Marius. She even briefly explained the rules.
You and your brother took turns fishing for the colorful rubber ducks, each one bobbing gently on the surface of the water. Your brother pulled up a duck with a '5' on the bottom, and the attendant handed him a small plush toy. You manage to catch one with a '1,' earning yourself a small prize—a pack of bubblegum.
"This has been great! Thank you for bringing us here, Mister Marius," you said.
He smiled again. "I'm glad you all enjoyed it. The park can be overwhelming, but it's moments like these that make it all worthwhile."
You nod in agreement, hugging your new stuffed bear. "Yeah, this place is amazing. Thanks again for your help."
"Anytime. Now, where to next?" Marius asked.
You and your family exchanged a look, and then you smiled wide. "Let's see what else this amazing park has to offer!" you said, ready for the next adventure.
