Is Alone
Dad walks up to her and takes her hands in his. His eyes gleam with the sudden truth she had just said to him.
"You want what?" Dad asks, needing to hear it again.
"I want you and mom to stop bullying me and Andrew. Its too much, and I want you to stop. You're a bully, and you always think we're lying. Daddy, we're not lying, and we're not happy here when you bully us." she says, spilling her heart. Andrew walks in the room.
"That's not how I feel Jackie." he says. What did he mean?
"What?" she squeaks.
"Dad doesn't bully us he just rebukes us. And sometimes we need to be rebuked." Andrew spiffs. Her eyes widen in shock. He never told her that was how he felt. She felt alone with his sudden admittance.
"That's not true. I don't deserve it." she says, quietly. Andrew's eyes turn hard, and he slaps her. She falls against the wall, and her arms flail around for balance. She cries, pathetically. Andrew just attacked her! Why?
"You deserve so much more than what he does to you." Andrew growls. She shakes her head, and Mother walks into the room. Mother doesn't help, but she bursts out laughing?
"Momma, help?" she tries, but Mother shakes her head.
"Your beef is with them, honey. Not me." Mother says, smiling. She stands up and runs for the front door. Her wrist is caught, and she turns around. Dad.
"Let me go." she snaps, bitterly. Dad shakes his head, sadly. "Let me go!"
"No, I can't. You're my baby, my child." Dad argues.
"Then I am a lost child." she quips, darkly. She falls to the ground, defeated. Everyone moves to hug her, and she closes her eyes.
