*DREAM*

It was night time and Lilly was in her nightgown getting ready to go to bed when she decided to read for a little bit. She was in her room reading when her mom suddenly walked into her room clearly drunk out of her mind. She glared at her daughter like she was a monster. Lilly looked up at her mother and scoffed. This made her mother mad.

"Did you just grunt at me you little ungrateful brat."

Her mom sat in front of her with a smirking face. Lilly glared at her mom with a stern face.

"I wouldn't even have to mumble if you actually acted like a mom Lucille."

Her mother got up and slapped Lilly in the face causing her to fall on the floor with a bloody nose. Her mother glared at her with pure hatred.

"You pathetic excuse of a child. I wish that I never had you. I truly wish that you were a miscarriage. My life would be better if you never existed."

Lilly had tears streaming down her face while she held her nose. She just couldn't understand why her own mother hated her so much.

"What's going on here?"

Lilly and her mother looked up and saw her dad standing in the doorway with a lit cigarette in his hand with his hair all messed up. Lucy smirked to herself and began to put on the crying act.

"Drake thank goodness you are here. That little girl has just called me some of the rudest things that you could ever possibly say to your own mother. Honey she needs to be punished."

Lilly began to back away from her parents as her father raised a hand to her and glared at her.

"You insolent little bitch. How dare you talk that way about the woman who gave birth to you. And stop your crying it's not like we starve you."

Lilly now had tears streaming down her face. It's been two awful long years since her fifth birthday. Two years since her dad stopped treating her like a princess and started treating her like a burden. She flinched when her father tried to slapped her. She ran past her parents and into the nearest bathroom. She locked the door and climbed into the bathtub and began to cry her heart out. Her parents began to bang on the door yelling so many profanities at her.

"Why doesn't mommy and daddy love me anymore?"

Lilly woke up with a start and fell from her sleeping space. She looked up with teary eyes at the ceiling of her cave home.

She felt arms around her and she looked up and saw her brother looking at her and his face is filled with concern.

"Lilly what's wrong are you okay?"

Lilly began to cry and hugged her brother tightly.

"Oh Marko."

"Lilly what is wrong?"

"Marko I had a nightmare. A very terrifying and realistic nightmare that I wanted to forget about a long time ago."

Marko looked at Lilly and and hugged her as she continued to cry into his shoulder. When she was done crying he wiped the tears away from her face and smiled sadly at her. He held her face in his hands and smiled at her.

"Lilly tell me what happened. How bad was your nightmare and what was it about?"

Lilly looked at Marko and let out a shaky breath. She then began to tell Marko about her nightmare. She told him everything from the beginning to the end. When she was finished she noticed that he now had tears streaming down his face. Marko hugged Lilly tightly refusing to let go of her. When he finally did let her go he held her head in his hands and smiled sadly at her.

"Lilly I am so sorry that you had to go through that at such a young age. Your mother sounds like such a terrible woman and your father is a monster for allowing her to do that to you. How did you survive those nine years before you found Santa Carla?"

"Marko I was to young to do anything about it. Most of my life after I turned five was spent mostly on avoiding my parents and trying to stay away from them as much as possible. But I don't regret it because of I hadn't went through all of that pain then I would've never found Santa Carla and I would have never met you and the others. I love you Marko."

"I love you too Lilly. You are the best little sister that anyone could ever ask for."

"And you are the best big brother that anyone can ask for."

They hugged each other before standing up. They walked to the entrance of the cave and saw that it was night. The moon was shining and the sky was dark while the stars were shining brightly. Marko went and got his bike. He started the engine and signaled for Lilly to get on with him. They saw Sapphire come up to them.

"Be a good girl Sapphire and look after our home okay. We'll be back soon."

Marko and Lilly then began to ride away from their home and out of the woods and towards Luna Bay to have some fun.
