Greeting and letting her inside, we talked wholesome about a few popular trends and opinions at the time. It wasn't new but something felt different, something felt off.

I stared at her, admiring her enthralling beauty. But, like I said, something was off.

Her warm skin that gave me unconditioned comfort looked paler.

Her forever shining eyes that once never stopped talking emotions looked so empty, so dull, so tired.

Her cheerful aura seemed to be getting replaced with the one I had before I met her.

She looked tired as if she was fed up of everything and just wanted to leave. Even me.

-------------------

Like a fading star, she looked at me with those orbs blue.

She felt so far, whilst sitting beside me, which gave me no clue.

We talked like there was no tomorrow, until the dark blue sky ingested the cloudy orange hue.

I looked at her once again, and oh, she was one of those few...

Who tried to make me happy.

---------------------

"Yah.. Jimin - ah !" she asked.

"Yea ?"

"Where were you going ?"

"Ah... That ... Um..."

"Tell me."

"To the grave..."

"Why ? That too so late ? It could be dangerous."

"I know... It's mom's birthday today. It rained the whole day otherwise I always visited her in the morning."

"Do you want me to a-accompany you ?"

"Sure !" but why did she stutter ?

We worked up ourselves to leave the house and walk along the road, with hands in the pockets of jackets to battle the chilling weather.

No one spoke a word. It was a silent journey by foot to the grave yard that was a 30 minute walk from my house in an isolated area, but it was not an impossible case to find someone walking on the road. The sight was beautiful as an open field spread out on a vast area, with beautiful flowers blooming everywhere, and since it was night, you could see from a picture how the moonlight is partially blocked by a low hill and the other light that passes through enlightens the entire yard whilst hitting against the grave stones creating a mesmerizing picturesque scene that holds emotions of grief, angst, anger, suffering, depression and many more.

I stood at the edge of the road, consuming all the beauty that my sight could capture feeling enraptured by the tranquil atmosphere and grieved by the past at the same time.

I walked slowly down the downhill to finally lose my patience and sprint towards the grave at the end. I ran to her grave stone and kneeled down to caress the words engraved.

"She'll forever be remembered for her kindness."

Tears instantly rolled down my cheeks reminiscing those awful hospital errands my dad had to go through when she fell sick, for a reason we never knew.

"Mom, why did you leave us so soon ? You did not have to think of me but dad... why leave him ? he is such a good person. You must know what happened all these years... but I know and you know it too, he's a good person at heart... Remember, I love you too much to forget you. I didn't bring flowers today, but your anniversary is coming in a few months.. I'll fetch some then."

I mumbled, silently crying and sobbing over all the pain that those incurable bruises had caused.

"She must mean a lot you, isn't it ?" asked Soyeon placing a hand over my shoulder as she bent to my level by sitting on one knee. Oh, I forgot about her.

"Yea... She does.

Much more than the number of stars that someone can see in one glance.

Much more than words can define her."

"I am sorry for your loss."

"Don't worry. I am ok."

We sat beside the grave, gazing at the stars with utter silence between us listening to crickets that made the aura soothing. The sight was so captivating that you may even forget the fact that you are sitting in a graveyard.

"The stars are beautiful, aren't they ?" Soyeon broke the silence.

"Definitely. My grandma once told me that when our loved ones leave us, they become stars. The reason why they shine so much is because our lost loved ones are really precious."

I said, smiling towards her. But, before she could say something. We were interrupted by someone.

"Jimin - ah ! What are you doing there-"

I stood up and ran a little closer to them who stood on the road. I smiled waving at them while they were busy yelling the statement. But, when they said the next word, my eyebrows crashed into confusion.

"- alone ?"
