Chapter Seven

Lynn turned to MJ and threw her arms around his neck and burying her face in his shoulder. He embraced her tightly back and closed his eyes, holding her tightly.

"Um..." Lynn cleared her throat and pulled away from MJ, looking at the other two. "Did you really just give up the niece of the Oberjarl to save me?" She asked biting her lip.

"Yep." Willy said grinning. "I've been waiting sell her out to assassins since I met her!" Willy teased. Lynn glared at her.

"Who is she?" She asked MJ.

"Emmy, Oberjarl Eraks great niece." MJ said truthfully. She looked very confused.

"We'll explain later. But now, we need to get back to the ship." Will said. They all agreed and followed Will back to Wolfwill. Lynn was tackled with embraces from the crew when she stepped on the deck.

"Where's Emmy?" Quint asked. Willy grinned and let out a sigh of relief.

"Out of our lives forever!" He chuckled. Quint glared at him.

"What did you do?" He asked harshly. Willy rolled his eyes.

"Relax, we're going back for her tonight. She knows the plan." Willy said. Quint continued to glare.

"Alright, we'll head out, make it look like we're leaving, then we'll stop at the cove that's only half a mile east. Willy is going to fetch Emmy after dark." MJ explained to the rest of the crew.

"Everyone to your stations." Willy said. They all parted ways and prepared to pull out.

MJ led Lynn over to the bow while the others worked and Will enspected his arrows.

"I knew you lot would come for me." She said quietly, watching as the city faded behind them.

"You've had us all scared to death." MJ admitted, resting his forarms on the side. Lynn smiled.

"Good to know I was missed." She teased. MJ gave her a small smile.

"More then you think." He said, pulling her into an embrace. Lynn was startled by his words, but enjoyed the feeling of finally being in his arms, so she said nothing.

The light flashed six times in the top left corner, then it stopped for three seconds before continuing again, this time six times in the top right corner. This continued until Willy was finally able to de-code the message Emmy was sending him from her bedroom at the castle. Will and MJ had spent most of the day before teaching Willy and Emmy the Couriers code, so they would be able to communicate with Emmy during her captivity.

The flashes stopped and Willy quickly jotted down what Emmy's lights had told him.

    Floor two.
        -Em

Second floor wasn't too bad, considering there were five stories to the castle. Scaling two floors would be easy. He hefted the climbing rope onto his shoulder and proceeded down the hill towards the city. He didn't respond to Emmy because they didn't want any of the guards to catch sight of it. It was the end of a long week, so practically everyone was up drinking, even at two in the morning. Nobody looked at Willy suspiciously, most likely because they were to drunk to care. He quickly fled the city and came to the castle yard. It was half an hour till they traded out guards, so they were sleepy due to an uneventful night. One guard patrolled the ground below Emmy's window. Willy noticed Emmy poking her head out her window and she gave him an encouraging smile. He let out a deep breath and seemed to ghost across the castle yard. The guard had just turned to walk the other way, so he needed to be at least off the ground before ie returned. Luckily, he had inherited quick climbing skills from his grandfather.

The guard was out of sight. Willy reached the wall of the castle and quickly found hand and foot holds to boost him up. Climbing it was easy, and being quiet was not hard either. He reached Emmy's window within a matter of a minute.

"Miss me?" He smirked as he gripped the windowsill. She rolled her eyes.

"Don't annoy me, I can push you and you would fall to your death." She threatened. His eyes still seemed amused.

"You wouldn't." He snickered. She glared at him.

"You are the most annoying Skandian I've ever met." She said.

"Maybe this is my Araluen speaking." He suggested. She didn't respond. He handed her one end of the rope and she disappeared into the room, returning a moment later.

"I tied it to the bed, it's bolted to the floor." She said. He nodded.

"Here, tie this around your waist." He passed the rest of rope through the window. She tied the end to her waist and nodded to Willy.

"I'll meet you at the bottom." Willy said, and he began to climb down. Emmy stood on the Window sill and watched as Willy climbed swiftly down without struggle. She felt dizzy as she saw the height. She wasn't scared for herself, she was scared for Willy, who was one missed hand or foot hold away from dying. She felt herself release a pent up breath as she saw him reach the ground. He looked up to her and gave her a confused look.

"Are you coming or not?" He hissed. She nodded and sat on the sill, sliding off of it and holding onto the rope as she slid down it, cursing as it burned her hands. She closed her eyes to try to ease the pain. She hit the ground and her knees buckled, causing her legs to give way. She expected to hit the ground, but was surprised when she felt Willy catch her. He stood her up and untied the rope from around her waist.

"Come on Em. You're Okay now." Willy said taking her hands. She opened her eyes and noticed the sincerity in his eyes.

"Yeah. Let's go." She said swallowing. He let go of one of her hands, keeping a tight hold on the other, and led her away from the castle.

Yay! Lynn's back! So I've decided to make Annasophia Robb play Emmy, and Maia Mitchell Lynn. I'm still trying to figure out the boys, so suggestions would be helpful. I hoped you liked this chapter! Comment and Vote please! Love you!
