1 - The loser's bad at keeping secrets

Peter's POV

The day after Liz's dad got caught, I felt so gulity when I saw Liz about to leave the school. Her friends were all hugging her and saying their goodbyes, and it nearly brought tears to my eyes. This was my fault. I approached her and tried talking to her, and I saw how much this affected her, and it was all because of me. I know I did the right thing by catching her dad, but I couldn't help but feel guilty about what I did. She left right after she said that I should figure out whatever I was doing, everytime I was gone. Although I was very upset about this, I guess I just had to move on from this. There was nothing much going on between us anyway, so I might as well just move on from all this. From her.

Surprisingly, the day still went on like it normally did, but I could still see there were others who were either crying, or holding back their tears. I was one of those people holding back tears, though eventually, I managed not to keep doing this for the whole day. After all the classes, we had a Decathlon meeting, which wasn't as depressing as I thought it would.

Since Liz was gone, we were going to need a new captain, and Michelle was the one who ended up getting that role. She deserves it in all honesty, I mean, I know the others say that I'm the smartest out of our team, but Michelle was both smart and responsible. And if we're looking back to the past couple of months, I've been skipping class and Decathlon meetings a lot, which doesn't sound responsible to me...

Anyway, after we all cheered for her, she suddenly said, "My friends call me MJ."

And those words got Ned's funny and big mouth to say, "I thought you didn't have any friends?" He said, referring to the time she called Ned and I losers.

"I didn't." She simply said, which made Ned realize what she meant.

Suddenly, I got a text from Happy, which was actually kinda funny since he usually acts like he's annoyed with me, but anyway, he told me to meet him in the bathroom, so I excused myself from everyone that I had to go.

"What are you hiding, Peter?" MJ asked, trying to intimidate me, which actually worked, and I froze in my spot and stared at her. How can she--

"I'm kidding, I don't care." She laughed, looking satisfied with my actions. When I got up to leave, I could still feel MJ staring at me, and I knew for sure that she did care.

MJ's POV

Peter's totally hiding something. It's so obvious, since he's terrible at hiding secrets, and Liz said so herself when he asked Liz to Homecoming.

And if you're wondering how I know about all of this, no, I was not stalking him, nor am I obsessed with him, but I just happened to be walking behind him, then stayed behind the doors when he talked to Liz.

And back on topic, I also talked to Spider-Man once. His voice was so familiar, and even though he wore a mask, deep inside, I could tell he thought I was familiar as well. And Peter goes missing when Spider-Man is spotted. Coincidence? I don't think so. And besides, I heard Ned talking to Peter about a certain subject. Peter said he stole Captain America's shield. How the hell is he supposed to steal Cap's shield? Oh wait, I know. Cause he's a superhero.

I'm still contemplating on whether I'm right about this or not, but the chances are really high that he's Spider-Man. Plus, I saw him take out something red and blue from under the lockers on Homecoming. I'll admit that I actually followed him that time, but I was starting to worry about the loser. So I just followed the dude who ditched his pretty date at Homecoming. And, well, here I am, I guess.

I'm going to get that secret out of Peter, whether he likes it or not.
