Chapter 18: Nashi Dragneel
My eyes were locked closed. I was tired, thankful to get rest. My bed seemed extremely soft now, a lot more than it used too.
Rustling leaves swayed, and soft grass brushed up against my bare skin. I felt as my hair was swept into the breeze, flapping as if it were a flag in the wind. Birds chirped, crickets sang. It was calming. Realization hit me when I heard a twig snap.
I shot up from my once comfortable position. My heart raced as I looked around the terrain.
I was in a field. Flowers and splotches of trees lay upon the grassy land. It was a surprisingly green state of color. I ran my fingers through my hair, standing up in the making. I reached to brush off my shorts to find it was much longer and wavier. I glanced down to find a silky white dress in its place. I wasn't exactly upset with this obscure discovery, mostly because the dress was beautiful.
"Who are you?" Came a voice, firm and precise.
I whirled my head around, my loose blonde hair slapping my face. A tall slender frame stood before me; only looking to be around their teens. Pink locks lay on top of her chest. A determined look was plastered on the girls face.
A immense fire was threatening as the girl held it to my face; the flames encasing her hand.
"...Lucy." I say with a cynical tone. The girl moves forward without hesitation, thrusting her hand closer. Only causing me to flinch and lean away from the flame.
"What are your intentions?" She barks. The girls brown eyes furrowed in anger.
"I don't know." I mumble. The teen pulled back releasing at my tone of voice.
"So you're lost as well." She grinned as she pulled back her ravaged satchel and pushed her hand towards me once more; gladly without magic. "I'll help you. I'm sure Rose will enjoy another troop."
I take in her hand, gripping onto it firmly. She pulled me up; an all too familiar smile on her face.
"What's your name?" I ask out of curiosity. She lets go of our grasp, her smile fading to continue the conversation.
"Nashi." She sang. "Nashi Dragneel."

My head whirled as I held onto it tight. It ached immensely, pounding with a furious anger. It had to have been a dream. I thought.
"Luce?!" Natsu roared as he burst through the door; Nashi in hand. I sat up from the cold wooden floor. I must have fallen from bed.
Natsu immediately came to my aid. He pushed me forward to rest on his shoulder. I took in the chance, I was to tired to get up to get back in bed.
"Are you O.K.?" He questioned. I grunted out a nod in reply. "What happened?"
"I honestly don't know. I was asleep, and now I'm here." I said with an unamused voice. He chuckled at my remark.
"Well then why don't you fix that?" He said through a smirk.
I groaned. I didn't want to get up, my head ached extremely. He noticed my exaggerated distressed expression, deciding to pick me up instead. He placed me on the bed, ignoring Nashi's cries of tiredness.
Before leaving, he turned and handed me Nashi; her crying normally subsiding past midnight.
I held her in my arms, my hand around her head and arm wrapped around her body. I pulled her closer to my body, snuggling her like a bear would to her cub.
Natsu smiled, finally turning to leave.
"Natsu?" I whisper through the soft comfort of the sheets. Natsu spun around to acknowledge me; his eyebrow raised signifying me to continue. "You can stay." I paused out of embarrassment. "If you want." He smirked once more.
"Of course," He says before crawling over me to make it to the side closest to the window. The beds shaking eventually stopped leaving me to guess he got himself comfortable.
I was thrown off guard when I felt an arm snaking around my waist. I sighed. The proximity was comforting.
The chorus of the night was drowned out by the soft snores of the newly found family. Little baby Nashi's chest raised and lowered at every short intake. Nothing was heard that night. Only the quite creaking of the house and the footsteps on the porch were heard.

Who might be at the door? What was the dream? Was it precognition? Or mere coincidence ? Why was the chapter so short? Why is the author so lazy? We shall never know.
