~Darry's POV~

I look behind Zaria and see Dawn

"Dawn," I say "Hi Darry," she says.

I run over and hug her tightly. I smile when she hugs back.

"Don't every do that again," I say.

"Ill run next time I promise, " she says.

I nod and pull away.

"Now lets get ready for a rumble," I say and all the boys cheer.

~Zaria's POV~

I sit on a car roof as I watch the rumble. I see Pony in trouble and no one else was looking like they were going to. I bit my lip knowing I should help but I would break Darry's promise.

I suddenly see Dawn take down the socs that were slowly advancing on Pony. Pony watched Dawn, then he watched me.

'What should I do,' I mouth.

'Do what feels right,' he mouthed back.

I slowly get off the car roof knowing that Darry will be mad at me later but I need to help. Dawn got pinned I run over kicking the Soc off of her.

I start punching him, not knowing half the gang was watching Dawn sat up I get off the Soc, scared of what I haved done. The Soc was nearly unconscious. All of them retreating.

Dawn looked at Zaria. I look at my bloody hands before starting to sob thinking of what I just did Dawn hugs her, then everyone heard sirens.

"Run," Dawn says, "I'll be fine if I go back, but Darry'll kill me"

I nod quickly scrambling tommy feet and running making sure I don't nget caught by the fuzz. I look back to see someone following me.

Dawn was running behind her. She was scared. Dawn tripped and got caught I gasp and keep running getting back to the Curtis house Dawn squirmed, trying to fight back.

Darry paced I run inside, seeing Darry and froze Darry hugged her I hugged back

"Where's Dawn," he asks.

"She got caught," I whisper.

Darry tensed. I bit my lip. Darry punched a wall and accidentally hit me. I squak and grab my cheek looking up at Darry, fear coursing through my body.

Darry's face falls, his knees trembling I turn and run, tears forming in my eyes. Darry falls to his knees. Disbelief etched its way into his eyes.

Soda ran after her, hugging her when he caught her. I broke down into Soda's chest.

"He hit me Soda..he hit me," I cry.

"He didn't mean to," he soothed.

I look up at him.

"He's worried," he says.

"I don't want to go back," I whisper.

I nod slowly, scared. Soda picked me up and carried me home. I look at him and hide my head in his chest. Soda hugged her I hear the door open up.

I hid still scared. Darry ran out and hugged her. I squeak and try to get out of the hug scared of him. He apologizes. I slowly hug him back. Tears falling from my eyes as I buried my head In his chest.

"You didn't mean to right," I ask

"I didn't mean to. I just got mad about Dawn," he said.

I nod and hug him close. Darry kisses me. I kiss back smiling a tiny bit as I do. Darry smiled. I bring him to our room. Darry hugged me again. I giggle at him.

Darry kissed me softly and sweetly. I kiss back, wrapping my arms around his neck. Darry smiled. I look at him, looking at his features. Darry yawned. I giggle. Darry wanted to sleep

"let's get some sleep," I say.

He nods. I smile. Darry got ready for bed. I grab his shirt and change into it. Darry chuckled. I blush and smile, laying on our bed. Darry snuggled. I smile and lay there thinking. Darry snored. I look over at Darry and smile.

How did I get so lucky?
