You totally thought this book was over didn't you... well it's not. I wouldn't leave you on a note like that...

Natsu's  (POV)

'I knew that her power was gonna be amazing...'

'But somehow I'm also unhappy...'

'She's stronger than me.'

'I'm happy for her... But maybe I'm just too weak... How will I protect my family?'

'Well there's always... 'that'... No Natsu you promised.'

"Hey, stop it." I perked my ears up to the angelic voice.

"What?" I asked confused.

"You were too quiet... So I listened in on your thoughts... You better not be thinking about what I think your thinking about." She said in an angry pout.

"Luce, I thought we agreed to not listen to each other's thoughts..." I said back in a monotone.

"I don't care... Listen Natsu I know something is up okay. Ever since that day in the forest... You've been depressed."

Lucy sighed then sat next to me on the sand. Our eyes glued to the horizon watching the sun climb it's way into the sky.

"I've told you multiple times. You are more than capable of protecting me..." She spoke but her words...

Were untrue.

"It's not just you Luce... What will happen when we have kids... I'm too weak... I won't be able to protect you or them..."

"Natsu... I know more than anything in the world... You are the strongest wizzard I know. And I'm not just saying that because I'm your wife. I say it because it's true."

She punched me in the shoulder but it didn't phase me...

"And if you ever think about going through with that... I'm just fine with not having children." She said with no hint of joke in her sentence.

"Lucy..."

"I mean it Natsu. I don't want my children's father to do something so stupid..."

"You talk like we already have kids." I chuckled.

"Natsu it's not funny... I'm serious." I could sense the sadness in her voice.

"Yeah, I know..."

"I don't think you do... Natsu I know about my rank." She stated.

I was confused at what she was talking about. She rolled her eyes to show that she understood my confusion.

"The spirit world... Spirit queen." She stated pointing at herself. "But most importantly... Spirit king." She pointed at me.

"When did you find out about it?" I asked surprised.

"When I was in the infirmary a few weeks  back. I heard you and Porlyusica talking about it... I wanted to hear it from you... But you kept it secret." She frowned.

"I'm sorry... I just didn't know how to tell you."

"Natsu... I don't care about that what I do care about is you... Natsu please... Promise me that you won't release 'him', for our future family's sake." She asked curling up into my chest soaking my shirt with her tears.

"I promise... I'll get stronger for you and our future. I won't need to use 'him'."

"Say it Natsu..." She wept.

"I won't release E.N.D. I swear."

"Now let's train." She stood up wiping the tears from her cheeks and lent me a hand.

I grabbed her hand and she pulled me up.

'She's much stronger... I can feel it... I wonder.'

"What ever your thinking about right now... Save it for when we're alone." She said with a tease.

"Awww come on Luce... Let's make training intresting..."

Lucy's (POV)

I could sense what was going on in that head of his...

"The answer is no. Today we train." I stated.

"Your no fun... Inside the water... Now." He frowned.

"It's not even 7 yet... The water has to be freezing." My teeth chattered at the thought of getting in.

"If you can use the water element... It shouldn't affect you. I'll get inside with you." He stated trying to manipulate me using his puppy eyes.

"Fine... Your lucky your cute." I dragged my feet forcing myself into the water inch by inch.

"Is it cold?" He asked walking in nonchalantly.

"I-it's f-fr-fr-fr-eee-zing...." My teeth chattered and my whole body shivered.

"Really... Maybe I should warm you up..." He pulled me close and I felt his extreme warmth. The water around us started to steam. "Better?" He smirked.

"Yeah... Maybe we should wait alittle longer."

"Yeah, your turning purple..."

We got out of the water and we dried off. We waited till twelve to try again.

It was now one in the afternoon and I was exhausted.

"Come on Luce you can do more... Another Fire Dragon Roar." Nastu said from the shore.

"I can't... I'm just so tired." I could barely stand. My knees were shaking and I felt unbalanced.

"One more Luce then we're done." He said.

I mustered all the strength I had left and let it out... "Dragon Roar."

'I messed up again.'

I felt a cooling sensation in my throat. I looked at Natsu and he was down on his knees covering his ears. I didn't know what happened but it wasn't good.

I ran out of the water towards Natsu and I saw that his ears were bleeding.

"Natsu!"

"Lucy? What was that?" He asked with a smile.

"Why are you smiling? Your ears, they're bleeding." I screamed at him.

"Because that was amazing... What did you do?" He asked.

"Well I was tired so... I didn't say Fire... I just said Dragon Roar." I answered.

"Your amazing..." He said putting his hands down.

"Does it hurt?" I reached towards his ear.

"Quite the opposite... What ever it was it was the most beautiful sound I've ever heard." He said shaking his head.

"Beautiful, huh? Natsu your ears... Let's go home."

"They are fine... Lucy I don't know how but I think you have more then we thought. Maybe you can do all of the elements." He said with stars in his eyes.

"But that's impossible..."

"Not for you... Luce can we please train more?" He begged.

"Only if you let me try something out?" I said back.

"Anything for you." He said jumping up and down.

"I want you to try a Water Dragon Roar." I stated firmly.

Natsu looked at me with a 'what' plastered look on his face.

"You heard me." I added.

"But Luce... I'm a Fire Dragon Slayer not a Water Dragon Slayer..." He whined.

"I don't care... Just do it. You said 'anything'." I reinforced.

He walked to the edge of the water and then he turned at me with his cute puppy eyes.

"Nope, you already used that card today. Sorry." I said back.

He only turned away. I heard a faint. "Water Dragon Roar." He turned my way smiling. "Well I guess it just can't be helped." He started my way but I only gave him a deadly glare.

"Natsu... Do it like you mean it."

"But I'll just look stupid!" He stomped his foot into the sand and crossed his arms in a pout.

"Do it... Or else." I threatened.

"Or else, what?" He spat back.

"No sex for a week."

He froze and looked me straight in the eyes. "You think that'll work on me?" He said with a smirk.

"Fine, make it a month... Oh and I'll sleep in the guest bedroom... No showers together... And lastly, cook for yourself." I said sure he was gonna break.

"Ugh your so unfair!" He whined making his way to the water. "Now everyone in the Guild is gonna laugh at me." He added.

"What's worse... You friends making fun of you or... No sex with your wife?" I asked.

"You make a good point... You owe me, for this." He said pointing at me.

"Shut up and do it already!" I screamed.

He jumped and turned around. He sighed and the he took a few deep breaths.

"WATER DRAGON ROAR!"

The power and trajectory were amazing.

"Uhh huh, just what I thought." I was amazed at the sight.

'He can do it too.'

"Now you see... Something new to brag about." I smiled.

Natsu turned a look of shock and anger covered his face.

"What's wrong... I thought you'd be freaking out."

"Awww man, what are people gonna say when they find out the Salamander uses water magic... I'm ruined!" He threw alittle fit. Flames were escaping from his mouth.

"That's what your worried about? Natsu you can do the same things as me." I stated.

He looked up at me finally realizing what I was getting at. "How did you know?" He asked.

"Well I was curious... If we share feelings, pain, and thoughts... Why not magic. It's not exactly science." I pointed out.

Natsu's eyes began to tear up and mine did too.

"For crying out loud! What's wrong now?" I screamed.

"Thank you." He whispered.

With my new found Dragon hearing I heard him correctly. I understood what it meant... He wasn't talking to me.

"I think we've both had enough today... Forget training. We could both use some rest." I stated.

Natsu nodded and we headed home in silence...

"Today we trained... Today I got stronger... It's not stopping here." He said as he wrapped his arms around me.

We layed down in bed drifting off into our dreams.

Natsu... I love you.

I love you too Luce.

Promise... That you'll train with me... Forever.

I promise... You can never have enough training.

And with those last thoughts I finally fell asleep.
