Chapter 6 - This Is Why I Extremely Dislike Extrovert Professors

~~

Regina POV

"That was someone who I don't even want to talk about," I stated coldly, not helping their curiosity at all.

"Come on, Regina--"

"I said, no, Soren. And that. Is. It."

They finally got the hint to stop questioning me and started talking about random school stuff, like comparing their timetables and whatnot.

"Cavillor's walking up here, Regina," Angelo informed me, earning the attention of the others.

I turned around, and surely enough, there he was, sauntering to us like he owned the place.

Let me make this clearer. His name is Cavillor Flare. The heir of the British Mafia. Their Mafia had been so good in hiding from the public eye, that there were no Mafia records in the whole of Britain.

Totally unlike us, the Italian Mafia, who were proud to walk around in public, whether they knew about our true business or not.

This asshole here also had his own in-group, whom he called his friends. Yes, he's one of those people.

There was his second in command, Nicholas Willows, which does same shit as my Consiglier does.

Next was Ashley Jones, she's their hacker, and honestly, she can rival Krista. I'm not saying anything that would appeal about them in general, but I do appreciate talent.

They also had their sharpshooter, he is Zachary Charles. By now I'm guessing this fucking blonde is out to copy my fucking group.

Then there were the twins, Blake and Blair Martin. Blake was the torturer and Blair was the seductress. Weird thing with those weird twins is that they both have dyed hair. Blake's were blue, while Blair's were bleached.

Blue Blake and Bleached Blair. Nice.

As we saw them walking closer to where we were, I motioned for my group to come with me, and they followed me to meet them halfway.

We both stopped at a safe distance, people starting to crowd around us now. They all knew that our groups had a feud, but not that it was about the Mafia. The rumours were pretty fun to listen to, though.

"What do you want, Cavillor," I stated, no, demanded to him. It's too early in the morning and school year for his cazzate. {bullshit.}

"What? I can't say hi to my favorite queen?" I simply stared him down, waiting for an actual answer. "Oh, alright, you caught me. I'm here to ask about what I've been hearing. Is it true that you're already lovey-dovey with someone?"

I knew he wasn't talking about this morning, their group was always late. He was talking about what happened yesterday when he sent that spy on my tail. Well, spies.

"That was something that is none of your concern. It doesn't involve you so zitto, stronzo." I said to him, finally turning around. {shut up, asshole.}

Luckily, the bell rang, saving me from his whiny culo. {ass.}

Me and my group then walked away from his, all the while feeling a hot stare on my ass.

Fuck that guy.

~~

Rayver POV

Once I got my timetable, I was walking to where my locker was. Well, trying to walk to where my locker was. I think I did a wrong turn though... Or two wrong turns.

As I was walking, an arm suddenly slid on my shoulder, making me jump right out of my skin. I turned to my left and saw a guy, smiling down at me. Jeez, I'm not that short for a guy.

"Hey man! You new here, right?" I nodded. "Ha, knew it. Was wondering what you were doing coming out from the hall which leads to a dead end. No one goes there."

You're so stupid.

"O-oh, yeah, I umm..." Why am I so awkward?!

"Oh right, the name's Jordan, Michael Jordan." I gave him a look of disbelief. Michael Jordan? The basketball player? "Oh, man. I love doing that to new people. I'm just kidding, man. My name's Jordan Black."

I clasped my hands on his outstretched one, "Rayver L--" Wait. Hold up. Where did that come from? "I-I mean, Cruise. Raver... Cruise."

You're part of the family, you know.

Once again, I flinched in shock. Who said that? And why was the voice familiar?

"You okay, Rayver?" Jordan said, effectively noticing my flinch.

I nodded, but still in a daze, "Yeah, yeah. I just thought I heard something. By the way, you can just call me Ray."

"Oh, alright, Ray. Anywho, want some help?" He asked. I nodded and then told him my locker number. Luckily, it was right beside one of his friends.

Oh God, does this mean I have to meet them?

They won't like you. They're gonna complain about you and then you'll be left with no one.

No, they won't! They're gonna like you and wish that you'll always be there around them. Your gonna make some great friends.

I seriously felt like I had a devil on one shoulder and an angel on another. And both voices were familiar, as if I had heard of them before.

As Jordan and I were talking, I couldn't help but notice how nice the hallways and the lockers were. The school colors seemed to be white and gold.

We stopped at what I think was my locker, and beside it were two girls. One with natural platinum blonde hair, and the other was brunette.

Jordan came up to both and hung his arms around them, shoving both into His chest, much to their muffled protests.

"Oh, my sweet babies! I have missed you this summer!" He exclaimed, hugging them tighter.

"You went away for summer. It's your fault!" The blonde one said.

He finally let them go, faking an offended look, he gasped, "Hey!"

As they were bickering, I continued to put my stuff in the locker thinking that once again, I've been forgotten, but after I did all I needed to do, Jordan said something that caught me off guard.

"Oh, hey. I almost forgot, girls, meet Rayver, or Ray, our new friend!" He said, pointing to me.

Friend. The word was so foreign to me.

My last friend was... Gramma Pepper. I've never even had any friends my age before because I was an orphan. Should I tell them? No, they might leave me if I tell them I don't have parents.

You do have parents. Your father has already adopted you.

"Hey, I'm Miley Spencer. Nice to meet you." She said, holding her hand out to shake, so I did.

Then I turned to the other girl, but just as our eyes held contact, she looked away. I immediately felt a pinch in my chest.

See, I told you they wouldn't like you. She can't even look at you in disgust.

"I-I'm Fiona McKinney. Nice to meet you..." She said, her eyes everywhere but mine.

"Well, you guys already know me... I'm Rayver Cruise." I said.

"Hey, let me see your classes. We might have some together." Without waiting for a reply, she snatched my timetable from its position in my hand.

"Wow, everything is AP classes, just like us!" At what she said, Fiona and Jordan crowded around her, then they started bickering again about who should look at it first.

"I know, how about Ray just look at it, then he's the one to tell us?" Jordan suggested. They all agreed so they gave my timetable back to me. With a ghost of a smile on my face, I shook my head at them.

"First period, AP Biology
Second period, AP Calculus
Third period, AP Computer science
Lunch
Fourth period, AP Chemistry
Fifth period, Gym
Sixth period, free period."

Well, that's what happens when you get bullied in your life. With no one to be with and nothing to do, studying is the only thing that can keep you company.

Apparently, I have first with Miley, second with Miley and Jordan, third with Jordan and Fiona, lunch with all, fourth with Fiona, and sixth with Jordan. But unfortunately, I have gym alone.

They continued to gush about my timetable when we finally heard the bell ring.

"Well, that was that. Now, I think you have Miley with you in first, right? I and Fiona have first together." Jordan said.

I waved goodbye to both of them, but Fiona just turned around and briskly walked away, Miley shook her head with a knowing smile. I wonder what that was about.

The last thing we heard was Jordan saying, "So, care to tell me why you are blus--", And we rounded the corner, effectively cutting him off.

Not that I wanted to eavesdrop or anything, of course.

Once we entered, I quickly noticed the beauty of the classroom. Totally unlike my past school.

The professor was currently telling everyone to sit down. And he was doing it with a large smile on his face. Great, an extrovert for first period.

As he turned his head to us, he immediately noticed me, the new face. "Well, hello! You must be the new student. We don't get many new people here and if we do, they don't just get to the advanced placement classes. Why don't you come up here and introduce yourself?"

This is what I was scared of. First-day introductions, yay.

Seeing that I don't have much of a choice, I went up there, fiddling with the straps of my bag.

He continued, "Tell us your name, age, what are your hobbies, are you allergic to anything?"

I looked at him in disbelief. Do I need to tell all of that to a bunch of strangers?

I faced forward, seeing all bored faces. I saw in the middle part, right beside an empty seat by the window was Miley. She gave me a pitiful smile, like she knows that this was gonna happen.

"W-well... I, um, I am Rayver L-Cruise! Rayver Cruise," Not again. "I'm seventeen, turning eighteen, and, uh, my hobbies... Are... Reading..? And studying, I guess. And I'm not allergic to anything. So, yeah." Without waiting for another second, I speed-walked over to Miley, dropping my bag silently and avoiding eye contact with anyone.

Luckily, he started the class, but not before an 'ice-breaker' as he called it. Not really the right thing to do for a class of nerds, sir.

And this is why I extremely dislike extrovert professors.

~~

Lunch, my second to last favorite period. Other kids may love lunch, but not me. Here and the gym are the places where people pick on us nerds. Which is why I don't like it. But gym will always be the top one on my dislike list.

The four of us entered the cafeteria along with the horde of students. Once we entered, I took in the surroundings. Just like everywhere else, the theme of the cafeteria was white and gold. Only that the gold here was a few shades darker.

Looking around, the first I noticed was the students pushing tables together.

The second thing I saw were two large tables in the middle of the cafeteria. I'm guessing, thanks to my past school, that that's where the popular tables are. The ones with the jocks and cheerleaders.

Jordan and the girls walked to a random table. And sat down. Looks like they didn't have that 'this is my seat and I will sit here for the rest of the school year' kind of tables.

I shrugged and simply sat down. Right as I did that, the cafeteria doors suddenly slammed open. The force was so loud that the chatter everywhere stopped and stared at the racket.

I followed everyone else's example and looked. And when I did, I was shocked out of my wits. I think my jaw fell.

The one who threw open the doors was none other than Regina Luciano. Following her trail were two girls and three guys. My eyes were trained on them like everyone else in the room. She had that kind of aura that tells people both 'look at me or you die' and 'look at me and you die'.

Just like this morning, everyone that was near to her scrambled to get far, like she would punch anyone if they dared cross her. I don't doubt that.

"That's the Queen."

I turned abruptly to Miley, shocked at what she said, "What?"

This time, Jordan continued what she was going to say, "You know how in every cliché school the blonde, slutty cheerleader is the Queen Bee? Well, not here. She's not blonde, not slutty, and most definitely not a cheerleader. She's not even called a Queen B!"

"Then... What?"

"She's simply the Queen. She's ruled by fear, thanks to the rumors." Fiona said, staring at Regina.

"Rumors? What rumors?" My curiosity spiked. I didn't usually believe rumors, but I wanted to hear what these were since some rumors also came from facts.

"Well, some say that she's a street fighter, some say street racer. Others say she's in a gang or the Mafia. But my personal favorite is that they said she's the Greek Goddess Athena reincarnated. Damn, people are good at making things up." Jordan said, making the others snicker silently.

As Regina's group sat down on one of the tables in the middle, a new group of people came in, but a little more subtle compared to Regina's entrance. Leading them was a guy, he was blonde which ironically contrasted heavily to Regina.

Miley noticed me staring so she said, "That's Cavillor Flare. When there's a queen, there's most certainly a king. Only, instead of them being a couple, they're mortal enemies."

I nodded without straying my eyes from him. Just like Regina's group, he also had two girls and three boys following him. They came to the second biggest table and sat down. Once they did, the cafeteria buzzed into action again.

Jordan stood and said to the group, "I'm gonna go get your food, girls. How 'bout you, Ray? What do you want?"

"Oh, I'll come with you," I said, standing up to follow him. He nodded and we then headed to the line.

Just like everything else here, even the cafeteria food was expensive looking. I didn't even know the names of half the things here so I just opted for a delicious-looking, and very cheesy, pizza.

Jordan got the girls' food and his and we made our way back to them. But as we were walking, someone bumped into me, causing the pizza I had to fly out of my grasp and into the stranger's shirt.

"What the fuck?!"

{A/N: Hey Cagna!

Sorry for not updating yesterday, but in return, I'll do a double update today. I just stopped this here because I wanted a cliffhanger. Lmao.

And what was that in the bold lettering? Italics' counterpart, maybe?

The next chapter will be up in maybe one to three hours.

Thanks for reading!
