Shen Yu**

I stand near him as he flip the pages of the book his reading. I look at him a few times but I just can't get over how he looks. From his eyes , nose, the attitude, and on how he looks at me are all the same.

He even calls me a cat that shocks me even more.After he placed his hand on my head he takes of a thread that stuck on my head for a while.Then he ask me why am I there at all place.But since I was shock by his appearance. I can't bring my self to explain.The next thing I know is that I held a book in my hand and pretend to read it.I wanna ask him more questions but it may be rude for him.

"Boss! Some books arrived. What should I do with this?"

Oh I almost forgot my mission! Good thing the staff bring it up.

"Genre?" He ask nonchalantly."Love... Romance boss.""Don't display.""Eh?? WHY??? Those books are good you know?"

Before I knew it, I almost shouted. He didn't want the Romance book in his store even though those books are great. The stories of those books were very exciting for its genre.He look at me with a calm stare and walk to me very close. He lowered his head so he can look at me very close.

"Those books are not allowed in here, cause they are fake. And don't shout cat""Fake?"

He continue his reading without even giving any explanation about the fake word. Those romance books are all fiction not FAKE!I walk close to him and start nagging him.

"Those books are made by hard working writers you know! They even sacrificed their sleeps to make great stories for readers like you.!"

I tried to talk to him in a low voice so that I won't disturb his customer. I might be rude, I don't want others talk ill to those writers who work hard for their books. He tilt his head as he look me. and ask me some questions.

"You don't know what place this is, do you? "
"A book store!"

He closed his book that he's reading and walks directly to the reading section. I followed him since he wanna say something to me. As we reach the reading section, there are people reading some books.

"Look at them and tell me what is the they are reading."

I glanced to all his customers but I didn't see any difference. Of course I can read that every title are different but the were just sitting there reading those books. I look at him as an answer that there are no difference .

"There are no romance novel in this Store."I raised my eyebrow as I wanna question him. But now that he mentioned it. there are no sections for Romance. When I glanced the books that the readers were reading , they are detective, thriller, horror and adventures genres but no romance.

"Why?" I asked.
" Cause this people denied already the romance that hurt them."

Can I just smack the back of his head.
I don't understand this guy at all. He walked back to the counter when a customer gets up as he finished reading a book.
I followed him to the counter and eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Done reading?"
"Yep. Hey boss if there is another detective book that will be here please tell me right away."
"I got romance book that arrived."

I look at them to see if his customer will be interested in it, but..

"Romance? No thanks. I'm done reading does kind of things."
"Very well.. I'll call you right away if some books arrived."

As man walks out the store I looked at him with questionable eyes. He look at me as if he's saying that,
 "See it is not popular in this store" something like that.

If they want to read some romance book what will you do. He just shrugged my question as a new customer enters the shop. Then a call ringed my phone. Its Ren... I look at him and got me to thinking . If Ren sees this guy what will happen.

"Hey! What's up?"
"I am near your place. Where are you?"
"Working."
"Meet me at the café near your apartment. I got something that might interest you."

I ended the call and look at him again. I missed him again. But he is not this annoying. I exited the shop right away to meet Ren. I might be mad if I continue to talk to him. As I reach the café, Ren wave his hands. I also see his fiancé Hailey.

"Hey how are things going!"
"Hi Yu! Nice seeing you again"
"Hey Hailey!"

We met on Yuan's funeral. She gave me a handkerchief when I was crying outside. If I only know that this girl hurl Yuan I will never accept her kindness. Ren took a little box out and gave it to me.

"What's this?"

I opened the box and a pair of earring is inside of it. I look at him right away as I am ready to throw the gift.

"Look at the lid. There is something written on it."

I look at the bottom of the lid and a not is stick to it. I read it silently and it makes me wanna cry right away. The note says,

"Cat this earring is yours keep them and don't make your life miserable again."

I almost cry as I read the note. After that we eat dinner and eventually go home. When I got home I got home I looked at the earrings that Yuan gave me. They were beautiful. Again I missed him. While looking my phone rang.

"Hey Yu! There is something happening in the office. The boss wants to talk to you."
"Got it! Thanks."

"Look for this writer."

I look at the information that the boss gave. And it seems a bit mysterious.
There are no information that I can use to contact the writer, the only thing that is there was the Pen Name. "L.Y"

"Boss? How can I look on this guy if there is no info on how to contact him?"
"Try to contact the past publisher of his book. You might get something."".... okay."

I look at my boss with a what should I do look, the heck am I going to do. I can't hire a detective for this can't I. ARGH!As soon as I left the office I went to the publishing house that the last book has published. But there is small info there that I can get there which won't be useful either. What now Shen Yu! You are going to be in a big problem if we can't find this guy.

I went to the store where the "Yuan" look alike is. I maybe weird. But I felt comfortable here. I sit in the reading section where I read that L.Ys works. His books are interesting. You'll gonna be hooked once you read the first 2 pages of his creation. He has 3 works as of now.
The first one is about a Dog that transform into a Rabbit in the midnight. The story is kind of adventurous and fun to read. The second one is about a man who tries to touch the sky but landed in the moon, which has a very sad story and the last book is about a cat who tries to touch the heaven.

His works don't have any drama going on but it was fun reading it. I read all three book without stopping and before I knew it, it was already past 9 in the evening.
While I was reading the staff tap me since it was almost closing time. Before I leave I catch a glimpse of Yuan look alike staring at me. I walk towards him to apologize since I was the last customer he has.

"I got hook on this books that I didn't realize you are about to close. Sorry."

He look at me, then the books, then me, and then the books.

"This is where I sleep so its okay for me. He didn't tap you to get you out , I told him to tap you if you wanna eat. Also those books...."

I look at him with a confused eyes.. He's weird today..
Yesterday its almost like the end of the world but now his nice to me.

"You live here?" I asked.
"Yeah. This is what I call Home."

He look away as he said it. I wanna know more about his story but its out of my line.
After I purchased all three books I went home. On my way home, I bump into someone and the books has fallen to the ground.
The guy who bump on me apologized right away so I didn't got angry. While picking up the books, there is a note on the last cover of the story about the cat.

As soon as I got home, I dialed the number right away. Wait I hope its not the store owner right?As soon as the call rings a girl with a calm voice answer the call.

"Hello, who is this?" Is this L.Y? I thought he's a guy. So L.Y is girl...
"Hi, I am Shen Yu! I got this number on the back side of a book. May I ask if you are L.Y?"
"Oh! Did you accidentally purchased the book?"
"I purchased the book but the guy on the cashier didn't say anything though."
"That's weird. He should be seen it if you purchased it. By the way I'll pay for the refund please bring it on the store tomorrow."

This is my chance! I got to get L.Y's next work on my hands. Or else, I will be saying goodbye to my job.

"Oh! I don't want the refund I'll take it to be store tomorrow but can I have a word to L.Y tomorrow as a alternative of refund?"

Say yes please!!!

"One moment."

It seems I was put on hold, maybe she is looking if she is available tomorrow but since I have the a weapon in my hand I can agree whenever she is available.

"Hello I'll be transferring this call to Mr. L.Y please hold for a moment."

Transferring? I see.. So that girl must be someone close to him!

"Hello? This is L.Y"

His voice is as calm as a water. It was clear, and familiar to me.

"Hello! Mr. L.Y! This is Shen Yu from MRPublishing! I have the last copy of your book. Can we talk tomorrow as an alternative of the refund? I promise I will bring the book back to the store."

A moment of silence just pop out of nowhere. He's not telling me a Yes or No. Nor anything, just silence. I thought I got disconnected.

"What was your name again?"
"I am Shen Yu, Mr. L.Y. Please have a talk with me, it will be an honor for me."

A silent moment once again. I hope he is alright.

"Cat....""Yes sir?"

Eh? wait that voice...

"What did you called me?."
"It looks like the Cat found me.."
"Wait, who?? Your voice... Are you??...."

I tried to calm myself as I confirm if hit is him.. This voice.. This way of him calling me a cat.. Please tell me that you are him.. Please give me hope that I can see you one more time...

"Hm.. What? Did the cat forgot me? Its me.. Yuan.."

AS soon as he said it, I cried. I got the feeling that a heavy burden in my heart has been lifted. Are you really him? Is it really him? Am I not dreaming? its not a dream right.
I pinch myself to test if I'm dreaming or not. It hurts...

"Wait, am I dead? Are you telling me to go with you?"
"What? Idiot.. Do dead people need phones?"
"Then how? they held a funeral for you... the nurse at the hospital told us that you...""Yeah, I know."


He didn't say anything after that.. Thank god.. he is alive.. Miracles do come true after all..

"Cat, keep it a secret."
"Why?"

Again with the silent treatment. But I think I know what he means. I think I understand what he can't tell me. At the end we just chat with what happen to me. I told him everything that he wants to know.

"I'll go to sleep. Give the book back to the store tomorrow."
"Can I save this number?"
"Of course. Goodnight."
"Goodnight!"

As he ended the call, I cried once again.. Not because I am sad, but rather today is a very eventful night. I heard his voice once again! I slept with a wide smile that evening.
And in the morning I woke up feeling scared. What if its just my imagination.
I tried to sent a message to the number I save. Please reply..

"Morning Yuan!"

"+639******* message me here, this is my personal contact. The owner of that number scold me a while ago because I answer a call for more than an hour and it cost a little expensive."

I smiled for his reply, I never thought that I can receive and sent messages to Yuan..

In the office our boss keep asking me if what happen to the thing he told me to do. I didn't told Yuan about it yet but I told the boss that I found him..
Not just found.. I finally Found him again!!!
