Yuan**

An old man in white with a cane and a fedora cap is sitting in our office. Shen Yu said he was her Grandpa but, he looked familiar to me. Where have I seen this old man?

"Grandpa, when have you arrived? I thought you were going to travel around the world?" Shen Yu asked while giving him a glass of coffee.

"I missed you so I quickly went home to see you, you know? And this is supposed to be a heartwarming reunion, but I was you being slapped. Tell me have you done anything wrong?"

I bowed my head as I felt guilty. Shen Yu got slapped because of me. I should have protected her. What should I do? I can't face her. I want to slap Hailey's mother but I can't do that. I don't want to be a rude guy in front of Yu.

"Hm, the only crime I did was love someone who doesn't deserve to be hit by a random woman," Yu said confidently.

Then she held my hand and dragged me in front of his grandfather. Her grandfather looked at me with a serious face, and I felt intimidated. I saw many old men but her grandfather had a face of a young guy. If I didn't know it was her grandfather I can say he is in his 40's.

"Grandpa! This is Yuan! He is my boyfriend/Lover/Master and Boss here."

Everyone in the room looked at us with a shocked face. Yeah! When I say everyone that includes everyone! They rushed here when they found out what happened. Their eyes were opened wide while Xia and Mina were giggling. I blushed as she broke the news to them and I bowed to her grandfather.

"Nice to meet you, sir! I am Yuan! Lee Yuan!"

"Wow, I never guessed it would be you after all these past years.."

I looked at him with confused eyes. Have we met somewhere? He really looks familiar to me but I can't seem to remember where I met him.

"What? Don't tell me you've forgotten who I am." He said.

It's embarrassing to say yes. So I just nodded there shyly. Then he laughed hard. I looked at Shen Yu but it seems she can't understand too. The old man looked at her and laughed again. In my confusion, I looked at YuYu and asked.

"Did we meet somewhere before? I only remember meeting you Last year." I asked.

"I am in the dark too. I can't remember meeting you after all."

I again tried to remember if I saw her or her grandfather somewhere but I can't remember anything. Then her grandfather stood up and was ready to go home, then he looked at me.

"Little guy, I'll be going home but, can you let the little girl go with me? You see I've been traveling a lot so I wanted to have time with my grandchild. Is that okay?" He humbly asked.

Since there was something I needed to do I agreed and let Shen Yu go with him. I guess she was the favorite granddaughter after all. Then they looked at each other smirking and went out. Why did that smirk feel uncomfortable for me?

"Mina please look for the office while I'm out."

"Will you be okay?" She asked.

"Yeah."

I need to talk to someone so I ask Mina to take charge in the office. Sister Xia wants to come with me since she is worried. So I just let her follow me. While on the way, she asked me if I was okay so I smiled at her and told her I was so she wouldn't worry too much but I saw her fist shaking in frustration.

"Sister, I am okay. Yu protected me, but It should be me who was protecting her. I felt down about her taking that slap."

"It's okay! I am the older sister here, so I should be the one protecting you two. "

She smiled at me and I saw her stop shaking. I was worried that she might do something but I guess her patience is much better than anyone. When we got to our destination, we stepped out of my car and knocked on the door. Then Hailey opened the door.

"YUAN!"

She hugged me but I refused her hug and pushed her away. Then her mother came from her behind with the most bitter she could give.

"Right now I am forcing myself not to slap you like you did to my girlfriend. I still want to keep my manners even if you are a cruel person. But if this happens again, I'll make sure that I will give back the favor."

Her mother just shrugged what I said. It felt like I was talking to the air. Then all of a sudden Sister Xia greeted her.

"Hi! You are Mrs. Kim, aren't you? I am Xia Lee and I heard what happened to my brother and his girlfriend." Sister said while smiling.

"Lee? Xia? Wait... There must be a misunderstanding." Hailey's Mother said in surprise.

"Hehe... So I think you know me now. I won't ask you to do anything cause I'll be the one taking action. You know me right? I was surprised also to see you here. Please don't go near my family anymore. Let's go, Yuan! I have conveyed my thoughts."

She grabbed my arm to go home. I looked at Sister Xia and she released a sigh. Then she smiled at me like nothing was going on. I think I have someone powerful on my side. I smiled back at her.

"Thank you Sis. I felt relieved to have you but, what was that back there? They didn't move a muscle when you said something."

"If you want to know you have to register your name as my family member. It's a family secret after all."

I am really thankful that she treated me as her younger brother. Since I was the older brother I had never been treated like she treated me. Though I felt guilty for her real younger brother, I'll cherish her as you cherish her. When we came back to the office everyone had already gone home.

"You wanna eat something sis? I'll cook for you."

"Nah, I have something to do so, I'll go home now. I'll see you tomorrow."

I was alone again. I felt the urge to sit near the window. The sunset is filling the sky red. I always felt lonely when this time of the day comes. The sunsets that saying goodbye to the whole day and the night of peace is going up. Though the night should be the rest of the whole day, I always felt restless. I missed her. I wish Shen Yu would come home right away. I don't want to feel alone again. I... I... I don't want to be left out anymore.

Shen Yu**

"Pops please make this quick, I feel someone needs me."

"Oh come on, Grandpa wants to have fun with you, you know?"

Right now we are at an amusement park. Grandpa always wants to visit this kind of place. He said this was the place that I always wanted to go when I was little.

"Does your cheek still hurt?" He asked.

I put my hand on my cheek to feel the pain caused by the slap. It doesn't hurt anymore but, it feels embarrassing that I can't hit them back. I held myself back since Yuan was there. I don't want him to see what kind of woman I am.

"So what do you want to do with those guys? My hands are itching now. I can't believe that my granddaughter was slapped right in front of me." He asked.

"I'll handle them later pops. But for now, I wanna go home."

I have this feeling that Yuan is crying. But since Grandpa isn't always here, I do want to spend the whole day with him. We have already done so many attractions here. it's not that I am not enjoying it. With Grandpa here I always enjoy life without thinking of what I am.

"I heard from your mom that you refuse so many suitors. You even left home to live on your own. Is that true?" He asked.

"Yes. I always wanted this job pops. And it always reminds me of you. The times that you read stories for me when I was little. So I was really serious about this job."

"But it really surprised me when I saw that kid. Left alone that he is your lover now. I never really thought that you'd meet him again."

"Again?"

I looked at Grandpa with questions. Did I meet Yuan before? Wait, I can't remember when I met him. I always know people that I met even after a long time...

Grandpa looks at me in confusion. It is like he is asking me if I am serious...

"Did you guys bump your heads or something? What the hell is wrong with the both of you?" He said.

"But I really can't remember anything about him meeting me before. We met at a crossing in the street a year ago."

"You already met him here. Can't you remember you got lost when your parents brought you here in this very amusement park?"

Then suddenly I remembered a boy who gave me candies while I was crying. he gave me a lollipop and a chocolate when I asked him to buy me some.

I remember when he told me that I should be brave and don't cry. That boy, that boy who stayed with me in front of the Ferris wheel to wait for my parents.

That boy who rode the Ferris wheel with me for the first time.

("One day I'll marry you, so wait till I grow up.")

The guy I promised I would marry. I smiled brightly and looked at Grandpa. He smiled back at me and patted my head.

"You really a grown up now. Promise me to be more brave and don't let anyone hit you again. Grandpa is always here."

We watched the last fireworks before we went home. He drove me back home instead of taking me to his house cause I told him I was worried about Yuan.

I was excitedly going upstairs to see Yuan. I can't believe that the guy who I always wanna look for all these years is right by my side.

I was excited to tell him the story about how we met many years ago.

When I entered our room, I didn't see him. I knocked on his room to check if he was sleeping but no one answered. I called everyone but they didn't know where he was.

Sister Xia said that they went home a while ago though. i went down to the office to check if Yuan was there,

When I entered the office I trembled. I saw him standing at the window. My whole body refused to go near him.

He was standing there looking above the moon with blood all over his arms. He was crying.

Only the moon gives him light. I slowly walked towards him. When he sensed that I was there. He looked at me with teary eyes.

"Yu.. Cat.. I don't wanna be alone anymore."

His arms were full of scratches. Those scratches have blood dripping on them that looks tremendous.

I cried while looking at him. How come this man who was always cold, and ignored many negative things was like this?

He smiled towards me while crying then fainted in front of me. I rushed towards him and hugged him without thinking that his blood would cover my dress.

I cried there and called anyone I could for help. I tried to wake him up but he was not moving at all.

My imagination crawls into my mind. So I reached his nose with my finger to check if he was breathing. I was scared.

Then I cried.
