Ren**

As I look at him carefully I can sense Yuan in him. I wanna hug him as he was standing in front of me but I know that he has reasons why he wants to be kept hidden.

"Hi! I'm Ly. Sorry for what is happening right now." He said.

Ly. . . The author of that book. So I was right. I wanna smile really wide as I look at him with relief. I want to cry for my brother who is right in front of me. I can feel him. I reached his hands for a handshake and looked at him as he looked at me.

He is telling me to get Hailey out of here with his way of looking at me.

"No! you are not Ly! You are YUAN!! HE IS YOUR BROTHER REN!!! PLEASE BELIEVE ME!" Hailey shouted.

"Should I bring my Birth Certificate or something?" Yuan asked.

"YUAN! PLEASE WAKE UP! WHY ARE COVERING FOR SHEN YU? SHE IS BEWITCHING YOU! PLEASE LOOK AT US! ITS ME, HAILEY! WE....WE.....MISSED YOU! YOUR FAMILY MISSED YOU! REN MISSES YOU AND I.. I......"

"Stop it, Babe. We are going back."

I dragged Hailey out of there as I looked again at Yuan.

I hugged Hailey as we walked away. I know that she missed Yuan too, but in this situation, it is not our decision if Yuan wants to be kept hidden.

I know brother. He is not someone who can be ordered by someone. He knows what he is doing and he is consistent in his decision. But I want to call him brother too.

"You are not believing me, aren't you?" Hailey said while looking outside the window.

"I believe you, but we can't force him, right? Besides, if he really is Yuan, then there is no way that he won't recognize me."

I stopped the car as I looked at her. She is completely in the dark as she keeps on tearing up.

I put my hands on her face to wipe her tears and hold her cheeks.

"Babe, if there is someone who will believe whatever you will say, that will be me. I know you missed Yuan. I know that you want to be with Yuan more than being with me. I know that this engagement thing is just a forced decision."

She looked at me which made me smile bitterly. I do love her after all. So even if I knew that she was just being forced to be with me, I wanted to be selfish just for myself. I want her to be with me even if it's just a forced decision. But now that I saw Yuan, and now that I saw her want to be with Yuan, I can't force her anymore. Yuan gave me everything that he has which makes me care for him as my brother. I once lost him, and I know it is my turn to put everything to where it should be. I held her hands as I teared up on losing this girl. I know that what I will do will be a big heartbreak for me, but this time, just for this time. I wanna let her be on her own. I wanna let this girl that I loved, decide for herself, for her happiness.

"I know that I became selfish the day that you became mine. I know that what happiness I did took from you and Yuan. First, I want you to be by my side whatever happens. But now that I saw you run for what you want, I can't hold you anymore."

"Ren..." She called me softly.

I started the car and went straight to her house. When we arrived I opened the door for her.

"This might be the last time that I'll drop you as your lover."

She looked at me with guilt as I opened the door for her.

"Hailey, you know that I really loved you right?"

"I know."

She got out of the car and hugged me. I know that hug filled her with happiness as I let her go. But it filled me with pain that I am making this decision.

"Thank you, Ren."

As I broke from her hug I smiled at her bitter and got in the car. As I started driving it I took a glance at her one last time. Then I whispered.

"For all this time that I am happy, thank you."

Then I dialed Shen Yu's number.

"What now Dog?" She asked.

"Can I ask for a favor? Can I have Ly's contact?"

I know what I am asking is weird but I want to make everything right. I want to be on my brother's side rather than be with anyone right now.

"I'll ask him if he wants to. But I can't promise anything." She said.

"Thanks, cat."

I stopped the car as I waited for his contact, but the cat didn't message me. Suddenly I kept picturing the past in my head, the way he was with me when I was a little. Back then he had my back in whatever I did. He is the one who encouraged me to be a good son and a good man today. He makes my favorite food when our parents are not home. When I am scared he keeps on being with me until I can't be scared anymore.

I cried while thinking how things came to be like this. I want to be his brother again. I want that brother who looks at me with love, not with a strange look. I want him to tell me that I can be his little brother once again. If he won't tell me the truth, then I can pretend that he is Ly. I can tell him that I am on his side whatever happens.

Then my phone rang. An unknown number is calling me."Meet me at the mall where we met." He said before hanging up.

I quickly started my car and drove back to the mall. When I got there I felt anxious. What if he won't tell me that he is Yuan? How can I tell him that I am on his side? What will I do? What should I say?

How can I make things right?

I kept on standing up and sitting down as I felt nervous. I've been like that for an hour. Then all of a sudden a voice that I clearly remember from the past echoed in the air around me.

"What a restless Dog."

I turned around to see him and as I faced him, he smiled coldly at me. All that nervousness washed away because of that smile. I cried as I slopped down the bench. I sat there and quietly cried. Then he sat beside me as he patted my back.

He is back. That brother that I missed so much.

"I never raised a Guard Dog who whines like a cat though." He said.

I raised my head and smiled at him as I cried.

"Woof!" I barked.

Then we laughed. He put his arms on my shoulder and assured me that he was Yuan that I know. I wiped my tears and smiled at him.

"That Is a good bark. How are you?" He asked.

"I am good. I've been studying real hard you know."

"You better graduate with a high score or else I'll smack you!"

He chatted there for a while. He told me that he once saw me but he felt scared to talk to me half a year ago. I even talked about how I kept his room as it was when he first left the house. I didn't talk about our parents as I sensed that he didn't want to talk about it.

Then a girl with 3 cups of drinks came to us.

"Here! Better drink this here." Shen Yu said.

"Thanks! Oh, wait! Can you tell me about that lover thing? When did the two of you start dating?" I asked.

Shen Yu ignored me and took a walk. But I saw her blush. I guess she really did like Yuan ever since she first saw him.

"Don't bother her. We are not in that relation yet." He said while drinking.

"Eh? Yet? Then what's with that kiss?"

He choked up as soon as I asked. He looked at me with a blush on his face. I smiled at him teasingly as he became shy to me. I am happy that my brother is being like this again, but I guess this isn't the time again for him to be in love.

I stood up as I needed to go home. I can't bother him anymore.

"I need to go home now! I guess I kept you waiting for a long time already."

"I guess so. But don't worry I won't run away again." He said.

"I'll remember that. You better not go anywhere again."

We called Shen Yu back as we went back to the parking lot. When I saw the cat I glared at her. I gave her a "Why did you hide it from me" look, and she just ignored me. But I saw her smile as she felt relieved to see me and Yuan being side by side again.

"Oh, please keep it a secret as of now," Yuan asked me.

"Of course! I won't tell anyone even Hailey."

"Also tell me if you need money if you have any problems! This brother has money now." He boasted.

I smiled at him awkwardly as I waved goodbye to him. I big thorn in my chest had been pulled out and it gave me a big relief. When I got home I saw a big box outside. I wondered what it was and when I checked it was Yuan's things. It enraged me that I quickly entered the house carrying it. After I entered I saw Mom and Dad watching television.

I got angry that Yuan's things were thrown away by them.

I quickly went upstairs to check Yuan's room but it was all cleaned out.

"WHAT THE HELL!!" I yelled.

"Oh! I cleaned Yuan's room and since we need a room for Hailey once she lives with us I throw all Yuan's things." Mom said.

It made me more angry as she said it. Dad didn't say anything that made me more frustrated. I put all Yuan's things in my room. I hate them. I know that she doesn't care for Yuan more than she cares for me but I can't take it anymore. Out of my parent's knowledge I already bought a house with all savings that I have. And once they go to bed. I'll transfer all my things to that house.

Then I got a phone call.

"Dog! Wanna have fun?"

Yuan**

It's past 9 pm and we are waiting for everyone to come. I promised them a vacation earlier so I can't go back to my word just because I am worried about that dog. He told me that he ended things with Hailey.

I want to make him come with us so I won't be worried. I saw Shen Yu chatting with Lu-Lu, Sister Xia, and Mina. They were excited for this trip. Since when did they become this close?

"Boss! We're here!" Sammy shouted.

I saw Zhi-Zhi as she ran to me and clung to my arm.

"YUAN!! How are you!" She greets me with a beautiful smile.

I am happy that she has already recovered from her illness. I can see Marco being thankful to me. At first, I thought that all I had in me was myself. But now I can see them laughing and chatting happily.

"Are you all ready? Our vacation vehicle is parked over there! Put your luggage in there so we can set off."

They started putting their things in the Car excitedly.

"Hey, Yuan! Sit beside me okay?" Zhi-zhi said.

"NO!!! WHY ARE YOU CLINGING TO MY OWNER?"

Shen Yu clung to my other arm. Now two idiots kept on pulling my arm. I hate this situation.

"I hope I am welcome!"

We heard a voice from behind so we all turned back.

They are all in confusion to check who it was. Sister Xia, Lulu, and Mina have this "why is he here look" to each other.

"Ren," I called him.

"Yes Brother!" he answered as he stood straight like a military officer.

Shen Yu went closer to him as she slapped his back.

"Hey relax! They won't bite! Everyone let me introduce! This is the Dog! He won't bite, I will put a leash so don't worry!" She teasingly said.

"Leash? I'll put a bell on you!"

"Stop bickering!" I said to make them stop.

I look at Ren and I can see that Shen Yu is the reason why he is here, which makes me smile in relief.

"Everyone! This is my brother Ren. Please make him an addition to our family from now on."

Everyone around me knows that I hate my own family. And I don't want them to hate Ren just because I hate my family. I bowed my head as I asked for a favor from them. Sister Xia came closer to Ren and held his hands.

"I am happy to have another little brother!" She said.

Marco and Sammy grab Ren away from the girls and ask him to be comfortable with them. I saw him laugh with them so I was really thankful to them. Then Shen Yu came closer to me and whispered to me.

"I'm glad that nobody judges him. I did a good job, right?" She said.

I looked at her and felt thankful for her. She really is someone I wanna be with. I smiled at her as she looked at Ren. And then as a thanks, I lowered my head and kissed her forehead.

She was shocked that she couldn't move there for a while.

"This is your reward for doing a great job. Keep up the good work and maybe I'll give you the reward that you wanted."

I let go of her as she kept on staring at me. Then I helped put things in the car.

And when we are done. I shouted!"LET'S HAVE THE BEST VACATION EVER EVERYONE!!!!!!!"

We entered the car and I started the engine. I hope everything will be fine from now on.
