Yuan**

Where did that cat run off? I wanna chase her but I felt dizzy all of a sudden, so I just sat on my chair and closed my eyes. She is giving me a headache. Now that I think about it, she kept on yelling last night that I was hers. 

Man, do I really look like a man whose hobby is collecting pets? I stared blankly in the air as I recalled how I first met her. She was a fine girl and now, just a year past she looked like a fine lady. I am comfortable around her. She doesn't ask me about the past and always smiles at me.

 I am happy that I am not living alone anymore. She is someone I wanna . . . no I am scared. I feel that there is something I used to know but now, it kind of fades in me. While I was in deep thought Shen Yu came towards me with a look that's about to cry.

"First, I am sorry for yelling, puking, being a burden and a troublemaker last night. I didn't wanna do all of those but since it's a celebration, I lost my control over the alcohol."

I look at her and she is about to cry. 

"Also! For for.... for.. ki..ki..kissing you! It's not a mistake! I...I ... I really like you!!" She said while bowing.

Oh! Right. The kiss! I almost forgot about that. I wanna eat last night and check them on the party but a burglar, pervert, and drunkard cat smacked her lips at me. I don't want to bring it up since it might be a big deal to her. It gives me headaches. But somehow, I don't want to reject her. Something in me is saying that I can just let her do what she wants. 

I stood up and while she was bowing for her apology, I patted her head.

"It's not that I am mad at you. But can you wait a little longer? I can't trust myself in this state because of what I went through. I might be shutting my doors right now but as you keep knocking I keep on waiting for that knock. But still, I am afraid."

She looked at me with a surprised look on her face. I smiled bitterly at her as she reminded me of Hailey.  I wanna keep this cat with me. And if one day I can fully open my heart once again, I hope she is the one who is waiting for that door to open. 

Then her eyes were filled with tears but instead of crying, she held it on like a kid. Then all of a sudden, she hugged me. 

"I don't care if you think I am a cat! But I'll cling to you for all that I can. I'll protect you and I'll make sure to knock and knock on that door until you open." She said.

Then she looked at me and smiled at me. I pat her head and stroke her hair. It's not that I like her as a woman. For me, she is a cat that I can have for now. A companion in my situation, and a friend that I can relay my back on. So am I supposed to hug her also? I tried to lose her hug but she kept on holding.

"Hey! Let me go already, I am not going anywhere."
"Ah!!!! Sorry!" she said as she freed me from her hug.
"So, why did you run?"

She looked at me as I asked her. And when she raises her hands as a sign that she is gonna hug me again, I hold her hands up so she can't do it. 

"I thought you were angry about the ki...ki.ki...kiss.. So I ran because I thought you were gonna throw me out of the house."

"Throw you out? Why would I ask you to work for me in the first place, if I'll do that?"
"Then can I kiss you all the time?"
"Stop the puppy eyes. You are a cat, not a dog. And NO! You can't"

Then she sulked again. My mind is thinking that I adopted the wrong cat. I think the cat that I knew became a pervert. I stop holding her hand and ask her to go to her seat. I might make a new set of rules if this continues.

As she came back to her seat I got a message from Xia. Xia is the girl that I met back in the store. At first, we met at the accident that happened a year ago. She was the first person who knew the victim of the accident. I haven't really explained what happened a year ago, right?

Back then I was crying in the street when my Father, Ren, and that demon met for dinner. That time a guy who was standing across my direction also had an accident. At first, there are people at the hospital who think that we are brothers. They said that our clothes were the same, in body build, and height. Back then I was the only one who survived, then Xia who is the sister of the other guy, cried for hours there. I felt sorry for her so I patted her back and then she treated me as her brother.
His brother wants to be a writer for kids. That is why I created 'The Cheerful Dog". Xia felt happy that the book his brother wanted to write had come true. I wish we could celebrate with him since I owe him an apology, and felt grateful for him. When she visited the store we talked about when should we go to the cemetery to visit him.  Right now she still treated me as her little brother. I smiled as I message her back. 

"Ouch! Hey!!! WHAT THE!!" 

I felt a big punch at my back. When I turned around the sulking cat hit me with her fist. The hell! 

"I told you! Don't smile like that to others! I hate it!"
"THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU! I WAS CHATTING WITH MY SISTER!"
"Sister? You don't have a sister!"

Then I showed her the message and she still didn't believe me. I glared at her since her punch was kind of painful.

"Ah Yuan, I did bring food and a bit of drink, do you think my brother will like this?" Xia asked.
"Of course! It's Xia who brought it for him, I know he'll like it."
"Really? That is a relief! Oh, Shen Yu! Later let's go to the mall, I wanna buy something."
"Yes! Sister Xia!"

We are on our way to the cemetery to visit Xia's brother. She was excited when I told her that I was free and I could come along with her. But the most iconic thing that is happening right now is that a "CAT" is following us.  And guess what? Xia is really excited to meet her. She's a fan of my book that talks about the cat and she knew that I came with that character because of Yu.

It looks like she found another little sister. While we were in the car I felt a little uncomfortable. ever since I hid myself from my family, I got this feeling that they were close to me sometimes. I look at Shen Yu while she is happily chatting with Xia. 

When we arrived at the cemetery, I felt too uncomfortable. I look around all the time to check if those guys will come. I wish they wouldn't. Xia and Shen Yu are having a bright talk in her brother's tomb. Then I lowered my mask and silently whispered.

"Xia is doing fine. I treat her as a real sister, you don't need to worry."

Then I look up to the sky to feel the breeze. It makes me calm. I feel that the wind is taking me somewhere with peace. While I was feeling the cold wind, a flower vase broke near me and I opened my eyes suddenly. I saw a girl wearing a cap with her hands on her mouth while feeling shocked as she looked at me. I can't see her face since she is covering it. Then I just ask her.

"Are you okay?"

Then the girl stepped back 2  times as she heard me. She almost stepped on the broken vase that I had to quickly hold and pull her so she wouldn't get hurt. Then as I pulled her, her face became familiar to me. I shivered and was shocked to see her.

"YUAN?"

Then suddenly she cried and hugged me really tight. I was lost for words. I can't even imagine this will happen. She is hugging me and it feels nostalgic. She was crying so hard that it made me break into tears. 

"YUAN!! I KNEW IT! IT WAS YOU! I GOT A LITTLE CONFUSED BUT THAT FACE, THIS SMELL, AND THIS PRESENCE IT WAS YOU!!!"

Hailey cried so hard that my hand almost hugged her too. But then when I heard her voice, I remembered what she said. (Your love is too tiring to carry.). Then I forcibly pushed her away which made her shocked. 

"I am not Yuan. Lady, if you are gonna hug someone please spare me. My girlfriend might mistakenly think that I have a mistress."

"Yuan! Please don't do this to me. It's me! Hailey!"

She once again tried to hug me but Xia pulled me back.

"Don't touch my brother! It is not lady-like to hug someone out of nowhere and in front of his own girlfriend you know."

Hailey looked at her with questionable eyes. I know that Xia is helping me. She might sense that I am in a tight spot and I wanna get out of here really quick. 

"Why are you doing this Yuan? Please tell them who I was! Did you lose your memory? Amnesia? Please tell me! "
"Hailey!"

Shen Yu slowly walks towards Hailey. I can see her eyes full of worries. And then she slapped Hailey so hard that it made us surprised. 

"I don't want anyone to hug my lover like that! Even if it's you."

"Shen Yu? Wait what is the meaning of this? How come that you are Yuan's girlfriend? You! Did you purposely hide it from us? Did you stage this to get Yuan away from us?"

I saw Yu holding back from anger and then raised her finger pointing to the tomb.

"I visited Yuan! For him to meet my lover. If you want, you can ask Yuan directly from there. I don't wanna be rude in front of Yuan, so we will go first."

Then Xia and  Shen Yu held my hand and walked away. But before we can get far Shen Yu looks at Xia and then looks at the tomb. 

"We will visit again. I'm sorry."

We left Hailey there all alone as we walked away. I can't look back at her. And when we almost got into our car, someone called Yu from afar.

"Hey, Cat! You're here too?"

 Xia and I entered the car while Shen Yu went to Ren. Before she went back, I saw Ren with a worried face run towards where Hailey was. Yes. I know that he and Hailey were now engaged. All the time that we are in the car, there is a silent atmosphere going on. None of us wants to break the silence.

Xia and Shen Yu agreed to postpone their shopping. We take Xia back to her home so she can have a full rest. While we were on our way home, Shen Yu asked me to go somewhere since she was going to buy something.

We stopped at a convenience store and she asked me to wait. When she got back she sprayed something on me. Then hands me an ice cream.

"Eat with me before we go home. If you can't cook, Then I'll cook for you." 

Then She put the food she bought in the back seat. 

I looked at her as I saw her looking away from me. What is she thinking about? When we got home she followed me around behind my back. Whenever I turn around She will just stand there sulking then goes behind me again. No! It's not cute! It's irritating. 

I sat on the chair behind the window and wanted to take a nap. But I can't. I AM GETTING ANNOYED WITH HER STARE TOWARD ME.

"If you are waiting for me to cook, I'll just gonna rest for a little."

"Hmm," she said as she nodded.

But she is still looking at me. I got frustrated so I sat next to her and held her to prevent her from running away.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU! ARE YOU HUNGRY? MAD? SAD? WHAT!!!!"

"I wanna kiss you right now!"

"Huh?"

Then she leaned towards me as she kissed me passionately.
