The Lone Traveller
The had doorbell rung loud and clear, I heard a chorus of voices. Trick or treat! They said. I remember sighing as I walked to the door and put on a smile, I opened the door and looked out.
"Hell- uh..." There was no one there.
It must have been a joke, at least I had hoped, but I was wrong.

I woke up startled. What just happened? I wondered to myself as I touched my face, still there. I looked ahead of me, it seemed as though I was in a truck or a van. I could see someone driving, a man with a cap. I noticed a boy with blonde hair, but I couldn't see his face.
"Hey! Where are you taking me!" I said to the boy.
"Shush." The boy said as he pointed ahead of him. I looked out to see that he had a gag in his mouth, unlike me.
I nodded and he came to the back I took the gag out of his mouth using my tied hands. I saw him breathe in and he smiled.
"Thank you." He whispered to me. "Now, we have to get out of here."
"Why? And who is he?" I said remembering to keep my voice down.
"He's the Lone Traveller. Maybe you've never heard of him, but he is dangerous. I became a Lone Traveller a long time ago, but when I found out he was here, and what he did, I quit, but now, here I am." The boy explained.
"I've never heard of this guy, but I guess we should get out, but how?" I asked as I watched him stare at my hands.
"Are you okay?" He asked me before I got any further with this conversation.
"Yeah, what do you mean?" I asked confused.
He pointed at my hands, I stared at him, then slowly turned my head to my hands. I felt myself let out a gasp, I hadn't known that something had happened to me. I stared at the red on my jeans and looked back to the blood dripping from my hand.
My hands were still tied, and I could tell that the rope wasn't making it better, it could have been what caused the bleeding, and I hoped not because I felt the stinging pain of the rope stifling my wrists.
"Let me help you, but after, we gotta get out, then I'll do what I can." The boy said, untieing my hands.
I felt the pain ease, but it still hurt, I could still sense the pain of the rope burning into my skin. I could feel myself loosing blood, too much fluid leaving my body, it had been the first time I'd realized this, and I found myself sitting down, finally feeling the reaction I got every time something this bad happened.
"Are you okay?" The boy asked.
I shook my head and soon found myself laying in his arms, my eyes closing, losing all my senses.
