Jason and I woke up on the couch with Uncle Bryce standing over us.

Jason quickly got off of me and fell onto the floor.

"Sorry. I came down here because we found something Grandpa Florain left you Cassidy. We just discovered it today. Didn't mean to scare you Jason."

"It's okay sir. Where's Mr. Willis?"

"Upstairs. Why?"

"I just wanna ask him something." Jason said, going upstairs.

I decided to try my luck. "Uncle Bryce, do you know where Grandpa Florain and Grandma Bertha are from?"

"Yeah. Grandpa is from the USA and Grandma is from Hawaii."

"Um, Hawaii is in the USA. Is it possible that Grandpa is from the United States of Auradon and Grandma is from the Isle of the Lost?"

"How do you-" Uncle Bryce started to say, but stopped. "You've been there, haven't you?"

"Yeah. It was so beautiful. The sun was always shining and everyone was smiling. So full of color."

"Yeah. I guess it is. I haven't been there in quite some time."

"I'm guessing that you were alluding that I'm the Princess of Auradon by calling me Princess, right?"

"Yes. Your mother was the Queen, which makes you the Princess."

"Did Grandma Bertha have magic?"

"Yes. But Cassidy, having magic is dangerous. Around your 16th birthday, people who want your crown will start hunting you because-"

"At the age of 16, you're crowned the king, or in my case queen, and people take notice. People will try to kill me. My childhood has come to an end." I interrupted him.

"Not exactly. Remember Grandpa Florain? He still had fun after he was crowned."

"Yeah, but, wait! Mom was the Queen of Auradon?"

"Yes. Which again, makes you the Princess. Now you'll be in danger in what, 6 months?"

"When I turn 16? Yeah."

"You'll need to be trained for protection. Come to my house after school on Fridays and I'll train you myself. I was trained to be vigilant and light on your feet. I was trained to be a knight to protect the crown, but I'll train the new princess."

"Don't call me princess. I'm not used to it."

"You better get used to it." Uncle Bryce said as Jason walked back downstairs.

"Come on." Jason said.

"Why?"

"Because we're going to a costume party."

"Again, why?"

"I asked your dad, and he said you can go. It's for my friend. I know, it's the middle of the year, but you know how hot it gets in Orlando, so my friend Cole's idea was to have a Disney costume party. I'm part of the band that's playing at the party and I'm allowed to bring a plus one."

"What about Sasha?" That's his girlfriend.

"Technically, I broke up with her last week, but she insists that we're still dating. Please come with me."

"I need to check something first." I said as I looked through the first box.

I saw what I was looking for and grabbed it. It was my spellbook. I opened it up and saw a note on the very last page.

Dear Future Cassidy,

What you just dreamed was real. You are the princess of Auradon. You and Jason really did date in Auradon. I know this may be shocking for you, but it's true. Sorry I had to tell you in a letter, but it's not like e-mail would work in this.

"You wrote this? When we were there?" Jason asked.

"Yeah. I did."

"To make sure it was real?"

I nodded my head yes.

"Oh. Well, come on. I'm taking you home. You still have that Snow White costume that you wore last year for Halloween, right?"

"Yeah. I'm guessing that you want me to wear that for the party."

"Yeah. Get one box and I'll get the other." Jason said, grabbing the box I haven't gotten to yet. I grabbed the first box and walked outside.

Jason pulled his electronic scooter out and put the first box in the side car attached to it. I put the second box in the side car. I hopped on the main part of the scooter behind Jason.

"May wanna hold on. This can go kinda fast."

I grabbed Jason's waist as he sped off. My house is right next to the school, which us a block away from Grandma Bertha's, so we got to my house pretty quick.

I ran up to my room and set down the box. I ran to my closet and rummaged through it to find my Snow White costume. It was mainly a blue dress, but had red and blue sleeves, a red headband with a red bow attached, and a yellow skirt that had a white petticoat attached under the dress. (picture up top) I remember a black haired woman who went by Evelyn helped me sew this together. Come to think of it, Evelyn looked like an older version of Evie.

"That's what I'm talking about. But maybe your magic works here so your hair can be longer maybe?" Jason said, holding up my spellbook.

"Just give me a minute to find the shoes and I'll do that. Shouldn't you be going home to get ready?"

"Oh yeah. See you there Cassie. 7:30."

"Okay. Bye Jace." I went to the bathroom and saw something horrid in the mirror. And before anyone asks, it wasn't my reflection. How do I know this? My reflection was right in front of me. The other thing was to the left, where no one was standing.

The woman in the mirror had black horns on her head. She was wearing all black and had bright green eyes.

"Who are you?" I asked. Instead of getting an answer, the woman looked at me and pursed her lips.

"So little Mary had a daughter?" Asked the woman. "How appropriate. I shall finally destroy the French legacy!" Then the woman started laughing as she disappeared.

I don't exactly know what happened next, but the next thing I knew, the glass on the mirror was shattered and a green ball of magic was in my hand.

I quickly ran out of the bathroom and grabbed my spellbook. I flipped it to the "fix and repair" section. I found the spell I wanted and said the spell.

"Because I accidentally broke the mirror, fix it before my father becomes quire." I said as the mirror instantly fixed itself, like my magic never made it explode.

I quickly got dressed in my Snow White costume, noticing that my hair was shorter than what I got used to in Auradon.

"Beware, forswear, replace the old with longer hair." I said as my hair got longer.

I walked back out to find my red bow headband. I saw it in the second box. I walked over and grabbed it when something caught my eye. I picked it up and saw a note attached to it.

I took the hair curler and headband bow back to the bathroom. The lady I saw earlier was back.

"So you have magic? Interesting. That will make it easier to track when you become of age. I will get my revenge on the French bloodline. Be careful Cassidy Maleficent Willis. I'll be watching." The woman started laughing again as the mirror cracked again and green magic shot out of my hands.

"Because I accidentally broke the mirror, fix it before my father becomes quire." The mirror fixed itself yet again as the green magic faded.

I started curling my hair quickly. I have to say, it didn't look half bad. I went back out to my room to get socks to go with the black wedge shoes that I got for my costume.

"Cassidy, I'm home!" Dad called from downstairs. I checked the time. 7:15. It takes me about 5 minutes to walk from here to school, so I'll leave in 5 minutes.

I walked downstairs and Dad looked shocked when he saw me.

"Uh, hey Pumpkin. What's going on?"

"The party Jason invited me to is a Disney costume party, so I have to come dressed as a Disney character."

"And the hair?"

"What?" I said, acting surprised. "How did this happen? I swear, I have no idea how it got this way."

"Okay. Have fun!" Dad said as I walked out the door.

I walked out the door, only to find Jason standing outside the door, holding a single rose in his hand. He was wearing a white long sleeved shirt, blue tunic, lighter blue pants, red cape, and a blue hat with a white feather attached to it, kinda what like Shakespearian actors wear.

"Hello Snow of White. I have come to take you to my friend's party." Jason said, handing me the flower.

"So you're Prince Charming and I'm Snow White? How cute."

"Should we get going?"

"Yeah." We started walking.

"You look really hot." Jason said. "I doubt anyone will be able to recognize you."

"That a good thing?"

"Maybe. I have no idea. Are you nervous?"

"A little. Why?"

"I'm just curious because I'm going to introduce you to my friends as my girlfriend."

I stopped. "What! What is Sasha going to do when she finds out!?"

"To be honest, I don't care! I don't like Sasha and I never will! She will never compare to you! If I have to, I will sing it from the rooftops! I love Cassidy Maleficent Willis!"

"Jace, calm down. I get the picture. You love me. Now please don't shout it."

"Okay, but only for you." Jason opened up the door and let me in. The party was bustling on the roof of the school. Jason's band was setting up. And then there was Sasha.

With her dark skin and dark hair, she looked nothing like Cinderella. She wore a pale blue dress that went all the way down to her ankles. She ran up to the both of us, which must've been difficult in her high heels, and slapped Jason.

"You were supposed to come as Prince Charming from Cinderella! Not Prince Charming from Snow White! Especially since she's Snow White!" Sasha complained, snarling at me.

Jason moved protectively in front of me. "Don't talk that way about my girlfriend Sasha!"

"Wait! You're dating Bertha French's granddaughter? How cute. You're dating the loosed of the school! Why?" Sasha asked.

"Because unlike you, she has class."

"Oh, grow up. You had a good thing Jason." Sasha said, walking away.

"You know, you're a lost girl on Neverland who doesn't know who her mother is!" I shouted. Jason started laughing and gave me a high five.

"Well, I quit the band Jason!" Sasha added.

"Great. Now who's gonna sing Jason!" Asked one boy.

"I can." I said.

"That's a great idea Cassidy! Do you know the words to Rotten to the Core?"

"Sorta. You singing that for Cole?"

"Yeah." And then Justin, my lab partner, came onto the makeshift stage.

"Okay everyone, we have a special performance by Lost Boys, so give it up for them." Justin said as we all walked on stage.

"Okay everyone, before we begin, I would like to introduce a new member to the group, after Sasha quit, we hired my super cool girlfriend Cassidy. We will be singing Rotten to the Core." Jason said as he placed the microphone out in front of me and the music started.

When I finished singing, everyone started cheering.

"Good job Cas." Jason said as he added "Happy B-Day Cole!"

We all walked off stage when I noticed Sasha pushing a girl wearing a Cheshire Cat costume to the ground.

I ran as fast as I could in the black wedge shoes I was wearing and ran in front of the girl.

"What are you doing? Isn't it enough that you stole my boyfriend!?"

"Newsflash Sasha, Jason never liked you. He was faking it. And I'm trying to stop you from pushing Cheshire Cat here off the roof! Why don't you go find Prince Charming so you can tell him about how you fit inside a pumpkin. Then tell him to throw you into an insane asylum." I said as Sasha stomped away. I looked at Cheshire Cat.

"I'm so sorry. She usually bullies me, but I started dating her ex, so to not make him angry, she started bullying you."

"It's okay. She started bullying me and a couple others today to. I'm Katherine by the way. But everyone calls me Kat."

"Cassidy. What other kids was she bullying?"

"My new friends, Ali, Reeve, Poppy, Daylin, and Scarlet."

"She's been busy." I noted.

"No kidding. Wanna hang out with us?"

"Sure." I said as Kat walked over to another group of girls. One was dressed as Belle and another Maleficent. I started laughing.

"Hey Snow, what are you laughing at?" Asked the girl who was wearing and Alice in Wonderland costume.

"Sorry. I was laughing at the girl dressed as Maleficent because that's my middle name." I said.

"Seriously? She is the best villain in history! I'm Daylin." Daylin had long blonde hair and brown eyes. She was built like an athlete, which meant she was strong. She was the one dressed like Maleficent.

"Cassidy. So what are you dressed as?" I asked one girl. She was wearing cat ears and a beige dress with a tail attached to it.

"I'm Poppy, and I'm dressed as Nala, you know, from The Lion King?" Poppy had black hair and green eyes. To me, she looked like Percy Jackson's twin sister, if Percy Jackson had a twin sister.

"Oh! I should've known." I said.

"And in case you're wondering, I'm dressed up as Anna." Said the other girl. "I'm Scarlet." Scarlet had long red hair and hazel eyes. She was built like an athlete as well, and was small.

"Oh, I'm Reeve." Said the girl wearing the Belle costume. She had long black hair and dark skin to contrast with her blue eyes. I felt like I've seen her somewhere, but I wasn't sure where.

"I feel like I know you from somewhere." I said.

"That's because Sasha is my twin sister." Reeve said. "I wanted to come as Cinderella, but no! I had to go as Belle!"

"You aren't missing much. Between you and me, if Cinderella had any children, they would be jerks and brats. So just think of Sasha as Cinderella's daughter."

Reeve started laughing. "Thanks. I really needed that."

I looked at Alice in Wonderland. "Oh, and I'm Ali. My full name is Alice, but I go by Ali." Ali has clear blue eyes and long curly blonde hair.

"Okay. Hope you don't mind, but Kat invited me over." I said.

"I don't mind." Reeve said. "I'm guessing that you're being bullied by the she-devil known as my sister?"

"You bet."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. I'm used to it." I said.

"That doesn't make it any less wrong."

"So, do you guys wanna be friends?" I asked.

"Um, why do you think I brought you over here?" Kat asked. "Anyone who stands up to the she-devil is fine by me."

"Sure. The more the merrier." Ali said.

"You stood up to my sister! I'm forever in my debt." Reeve responded with awe.

Daylin answered "We need you for protection. You're in."

"You have my seal of approval. If you ever want to help me practice my sports or anything like that, you can. Mainly because you don't seem athletic."

"I'm with Scarlet as well, you also have my seal of approval. You may thank me." Poppy said, grasping my shoulder. Those were the first friends I made in my school.

But happiness in my life didn't last. My life of bliss ended 6 months later, on my 16th birthday.
