When Princess Peach woke up this morning, the first thing she did was stretch her limbs in front of her. That was when she realized...

"Hey! Why do I only have four fingers on each hand?" Peach wondered aloud. Then, she gasped and covered her mouth with her four-fingered hands. Peach had realized that her voice sounded a little different. It kind of sounded more like a child's voice.

The princess let out a scream once she glanced at her legs. They were now extremely short. Peach suddenly had a bizarre thought.

"Am I... A Toad?" Peach murmured as she turned on her phone and went to the camera app. There, she got her answer.

Yes, Princess Peach Toadstool was indeed a Toad... Actually, she was a Toadette.

"Oh my stars, what should I do?!" Peach panicked. "I have a date with Mario tonight! He'll never believe that I'm Peach!"

Peach decided to call her fabulous cousin.

"Daisy!" Peach said once Daisy had answered the call.

"Peach? Gosh, your voice sounds a little-" Daisy replied, but didn't get to finish her sentence.

"I know! Come to my castle right now!!!"

"But-"

"NOW!"

"Okay, okay." Daisy ended the call and Peach remained in her bed, already impatient.

Exactly three minutes and eighteen seconds later, Daisy entered the room.

"I ran all the way here, Your Royal Bratti-" Daisy gasped once she saw Peach. "Who the hell are you?"

"I'm Peach!" Peach exclaimed. "I got turned into a Toad, Daisy! Please help me!"

"How am I supposed to help you?" Daisy questioned. "And why are you even a Toad now?"

"I don't know!" Peach wailed. Daisy suddenly gasped again.

"What if..." she started. "You have the same fate as Toadsworth?"

"Huh?" Peach slightly tilted her head.

"You and Toadsworth are somehow related, right?"

"Yeah..."

"And even though you're actually a human, you're part-Toad... Am I correct?"

"Yeah..."

"So, what if Toadsworth used to be a human, too? But, at some point in his life, he became a Toad... And now, he has to live the rest of his life as a mushroom!"

"What exactly are you implying?"

"Perhaps..." Daisy paused for dramatic effect. "YOUR TIME HAS COME!" Peach sighed.

"That's ridiculous," she shook her head.

"But hey, anything's possible now," Daisy stated. "I mean, you just somehow turned into a Toad." Peach then realized that Daisy was possibly right.

"NOOOOO!" Peach began crying. "I don't want to be a Toad forever!!! Daisy, help me!"

"I dunno what to do," Daisy shrugged. "Look on the bright side- your pajamas shrank along with you." Peach glanced down to see that her pajamas still fitted her. That, however, did not make her feel any better.

"Well, it's not like I'm going to wear this to my date later," Peach snapped. "And about my date- it's already ruined! A human and a mushroom girl on a date- that's kind of VERY WEIRD!"

"Peach," Daisy sighed. "You have to calm down-"

"SAYS YOU!" Peach yelled."You've never been in this situation!"

"That doesn't mean I can't tell you to calm down," Daisy replied.

"Just please shut up!" Peach whined. "You don't know anything." Daisy decided to try reverse psychology.

"Okay then," she said. "I guess I'll leave now, since you don't want me to help you."

"No, stay here!!!" Peach demanded, desperate to get even a little advice. "I'm sorry. What do you have in mind?"

"Firstly, if you're so worried about other people seeing you and Mario on your date, have a private date here or in his house," Daisy suggested. "Secondly, who cares if Mario sees you? He might be able to help you become a human again."

"Good point," Peach murmured.

"So, go shopping for an outfit for your date tonight!" Daisy smiled. "And perhaps visit Toadsworth, a doctor, Rosalina, or anyone who'd probably know why you're not a human anymore."

"Okay," Peach stood up. "Thanks, Dai."

"Anytime, cousin," Daisy said. "Now, I better get going. Call me again if you need me!" And with that, Daisy was running out of the castle.

*meanwhile*

"Hello?" Yoshi called as he entered Toad's house. Toad didn't seem to be here. Yoshi walked around the house, looking for his mushroom friend.

When he went into Toad's room, he immediately became delighted.

"Oh! A peach!" Yoshi licked his lips as he stared at the peach lying on Toad's bed. "Maybe Toad left this for me. But, where is he?" Yoshi finally heard something when he was only a foot away from the peach.

"Hey! Stop! It's me, Toad!" the peach seemed to say. 

Yoshi fainted.

Get it? Peach the Toad and Toad the Peach? Lol bad humor... But the next chapter might be a continuation of this one. I apologize for not updating this in a long time! Btw guys, you should know something... This book is almost done. No, I'm not joking. After this chapter, there will only be four more chapters. Sorry but I had fun writing this book, I really did. It's just that I have a lot of books to keep track of right now. And tbh, this book seems like the kind of thing that wouldn't be like 100 chapters long. I hope you respect our decision.
