Nao's POV

We've been running for quite a long time already. Satotz, who had introduced himself as an examiner, told us to follow him but he won't tell us how far we will be going or where. I've lost Hiso-nii and Illu-nii in the crowd while running so I decided to meet them up at the end.

I was running in my slowly and I really do mean slow. I can go as fast as Feitan-nii so this was getting boring for me. Why does Chrollo-nii want me to get a hunter's license again? Ah, I forgot to ask...

I then heard a loud male voice yelling at someone who was 'cheating'. I went to see the commotion to see a man in his thirties, and two boys around my age along with one slightly older than me. One of the boys had white and fluffy hair, the one I had been looking for.

I went towards them, more like went towards the one with white hair. I heard them introducing themselves as I jog towards.

"Hello, I'm Nao! Also, 12!" I said in a cheerful voice. I then continued to stare at the boy I heard named Killua. He blushed a bit and stuttered out.

"W-What are you staring at?" He asked.

"You." I said and giggled when he became more red.

"Your hair, I mean. They're so white and fluffy, can I touch it?" I asked while touching his hair and petting his head without waiting for his answer.

"H-Hey!" He yelled.

"Oops. Sorry.." I said as I turned over to look at the other guy and smiled. He smiled back at me.

"I'm Gon. Nice to meet you!" He said.

"Yeah, nice to meet you too!" I said and we ran together.

We continued to run together for a while until Leorio-oji-san seemed to lost his breath and is tired. Gon stopped running and waited for him so I stopped running along with Killua. Leorio-oji-san was breathing heavily. We waited....

"Screw that...I'm going to become a hunter! Damn it all!" He yelled with determination as he ran past us leaving his suitcase. Gon smiled and used his fishing rod and caught the suitcase with pin-point accuracy. I was amazed by his skill.

"Awesome/Cool! Let me try it later okay?" Both Killua and I yelled as we continue to run.

"Sure, if Killua lends me that skateboard and Nao do something interesting." Gon said,

"No problem." I said.

Then there was stairs waiting for us to climb. I saw the people in the front on the stairs and spotted Hiso-nii and Illu-nii. I wanted to stay with them so I decided to leave Gon and Killua.

"Gon, Killua, I'll see you later. I see someone I know." I said as I waved bye to them.

"Okay, we'll meet you at the end." Gon said as he waved back and Kiluua just said an 'okay'.

I ran quicker up the stairs and in a second, I was already behind Hiso-nii and Illu-nii. I jumped on Hiso-nii's back surprising him a little but he still held me.

"Nao-chan~, I see you're back." Hiso-nii said.

"Yup! And I met two new friends that are the same age as me." I said happily thinking about them.

"Who are they?" This time Illu-nii asked.

"One named Gon and the other named Killua." I said and I saw Illu-nii expression changed ever so slightly as the mention of his name. I remembered what he said before we started running so I decided to ask.

"Is Killua your brother?" He seemed surprised a little but just nodded.

"I can still be friends with him right?" I asked because I know that Illumi doesn't like his brother having friends since he's an assassin.

"I don't mind. But..." He didn't continue but I knew he meant something about Gon.

We were almost at the exit and I was still on Hiso-nii's back. I stayed on there until we got outside.

It was really foggy out and I can sense many animals in the forest. I stayed next to Hiso-nii as we waited for  others to finish. Satotz-san started to explain things about the Numere Wetlands and about how dangerous the animals are and to not get tricked in stuff.

Suddenly, a male claiming he was the real examiner as he pulled an animal-look-alike of Satotz came out, making most people confused. The fake examiner accusing Satotz-san as an impostor explained about about man-faced apes.

I was getting really tired of this until I saw three cards hit his body. I then looked at Satotz-san who was holding the cards between his fingers. I finally looked at Hiso-nii who was shuffling a deck of cards in his hand.

"I see, I see... That settles it, you're the real examiner. Examiners are Hunters so they would have been able to block that level of attack." Hiso-nii explained.

"I shall take that as a compliment." Satotz-san said. "But I will disqualify you if you attack me again for any reason next time."

We started to run again and I was with Hiso-nii until he told me to go before him since he needed to take care of some things. It was obvious what he was going to do because of the bloodlust he was letting out and the many people surrounding him. It looks like they want to take him out. Impossible. Not with their skills.

I decided to run next to Satotz-san since I will be able to keep away from others and I can be ahead. I picked up my pace ad dashed towards where I sense Satotz-san. He was surprised to see me by his side the next second but his face went neutral again.

"I didn't expect you to keep up with me." He said.

"Why not? If it's because of my gender and age, you shouldn't be underestimating people, Satotz-san." I said the last sentence in a dark and monotone voice.

"I see. I apologize for that. What made you take the Hunter's Exam?" He changed the topic.

"Someone told me to." I replied then I remembered something and I turned serious.

"Satotz-san." I started in a serious tone which made him look towards me.
