Far, far away, in an ocean somewhere on this earth, exists a magical race of sea-dwelling people.

These creatures, from the waist up, look like any other human. They talk like any human might, they love like any one else, they are intelligent.

But from the waist down, where one might find legs, these people have an elegant fish tail. When these creatures sing, it can put you in a trance. These people can breath underwater and communicate with the fish.

This is what we call a Siren.

You might have heard of them as mermaids, but that just isn't so. 

Mermaids are pure fiction; stories that mothers and teachers tell to children. Silly little girls who swim around and sing, chasing after handsome human men. 

Sirens, however, are very much real. 

They live in towns and cities, just like you do. They love, they dance, they sing, they argue, just like us. But the biggest difference between mermaids and them, is that they never, ever, interact with humans. 

Most people don't even know sirens exist.

But, I can assure you, they are very real.
