Felix POV...

I opened up the front door of my house before closing it behind me, I then took off my shoes and set them in the mudroom. I then walked into the kitchen and set my book bag on the table before walking into the living room where I sat down onto the purple couch. Pythor then slithered out of my pocket and curled up on my knee, he then said '' boy wass that an interesting experience". I looked down at him confused, "you never been to school before?" I asked "no, I never had the chance to" Pythor said as I turned the TV on and switched it to the news channel, and there was Gayle Gossip standing outside of Kryptarium prison. "I'm standing outside of Kryptarium prison where there has been a jailbreak, five of the recently imprisoned Anacondrai Cultists have escaped" Gayle said through the microphone "but that's not all folks, the high prisoner Pythor P. Chumsworth who released the Great Devourer and helped the Overlord, has escaped and he is extremely dangerous, if you have seen or know his whereabouts call 911 immediately" she said as I turned off the tv, eyes widened and I then looked down at Pythor who looked up at me nervous. "Y-you released the Great Devourer!?" I said, Pythor lowered his head in shame. ''Yes, I have done some bad things in my life, I'm very ashamed of my actions," Pythor said, sounding very sad. "But why release it? It ate my parents!" I shouted remembering that day. "Wait how? I thought you said your parents were on vacation?" Pythor said confused," my parents that live here are my foster parents and they are very abusive towards me after my house was destroyed during the Devourer's rampage" I said. Pythor looked down in shame "I'm sorry" Pythor said shamefully. I didn't say anything but just grab my wallet and pull out a photo of me and my real parents. I started to sob a little remembering how happy we were until that day. Pythor slithered over and asked "Felix?" I looked down at him" ya?" I asked, still sobbing. "Can you please give me a second chance to do something good for once in my life?" Pythor asked, looking up at me with his Fusia glowing eyes. I thought about my two options, one: take him to the police or forgive him. I would pick option one but there was only one thing stopping me, he was my only friend. I looked down at Pythor and said "I forgive you,friend",Pythor's glowing eyes widened "really! Your not going to turn me in for releasing the Great Devourer?" Pythor said "the past is the past "I said hugging him gently to my chest.

Pythor POV...

I can't believe Felix actually gave me a second chance! I hugged him close, I loved him. I then made myself a promise that I would protect him as if he was my own hatchling.

3rd Person POV...

Both Felix and Pythor didn't know that outside the house's window, the Anacondrai Cultists were watching them and were planning their next move.
