I lay in my bed. day after day I continue to think.  What am I going to do?  I  Can't let them kill me.  I  am alone.   These Thoughts continue to run through my mind. I have nowhere to go.  I can't run and hide. The only way i'm getting out of this is if I die.  

  They keep telling me that if I haven't died after a week then I should start showing symptoms. 

  But what are the symptoms? Is that the reason why its bee harder to breath, or the thirst that never seems to be satisfied?  I don't know.  The door to my room unlocks.

" Here's your meal." One of the guards says and lays the tray on the floor. I look down at the meal, if you can call it that. " You have 15 minutes to eat then you are needed in the labs." I nod.

I look at the piece of toast and water in front of me,I don't think its gonna take 15 minutes to eat this . I think to myself.  I bite into my toast. At least its still warm. I believe it took 5 minutes to finish. I leave the tray there and sit on my bed. 

 "It's time." The guard says. He grabs my arm and lifts me up.  we walk out the door to my cell and walk back to the lab where they took me for my testing. Ms.Hill is standing next to a machine. 

 "Hello June glad you could make it. "

 I nod. "Are you gonna try to make me a mermaid today?" 

 This time she nods, "well we don't know exactly how to do that, so i'm going to hook you up to this machine here and it's gonna put you to sleep, and it will then induce a dream about mermaids. Maybe if we trigger you're mind into thinking you're a fish then you will turn into one." 

  Fish? This isn't going to be pretty. she grabs a needle  and injects me with a serum that instantly makes me tired. She hooks a patch onto my forehead and then I close my eyes and dream.
