Others: Daniel and his twin brother, Darren, were raised by their single father, Alfred. Both boys are close, but are the complete opposite of each other. Daniel has an ex girlfriend named Claire, they both had a small fling but Claire fell pregnant with Daniel's child, the two were still teens when this happened so they aborted their child. Nobody, but his brother and Krystal know about that.
Daniel met Krystal in the hospital when he was get stitches on his head after suffering from a broken glass window falling on him. The two became best friends even with the five years age gap the two share.

Dislike: Feeling left out or out of place, seeing Krystal sick, fighting, her father not spending time with her, and getting jealous

Others: Penelope is Cryptids second daughter, her parents were together when her father cheated on her mother with Krystal's mother. Penelope's mother died from giving birth to a hybrid due to complications, her grandmother took her in without knowing Penelope is a hybrid and when Penelope obtained a few of her dragon features at the age of four, her grandmother sent her back to Cryptids. Krystal and Penelope got along just fine when Penelope came in the picture, but Cryptids was never really attentive to Penelope as he was to Krystal, in a way Penelope was jealous of Krystal, but she could never hate her. When Penelope was living with her grandmother, she always wished to meet her father and when she did at age of four, she was actually scared of him, her father seemed irritated to see her, and that made sad. Soon, Cryptids grew to be fond of Penelope, but he is not always there for her or Krystal since his job always has him leaving.

Dislike: His father's nagging, being compared to his brother, school, studying, Krystal calling him "Dingus", people not knowing how to take a joke.
