Branch was so excited because after a year when he and Poppy got married they were expecting a egg together and he was over the moon since he never expected to end up living with the land trolls much less marry one and have a child along with one of his older brothers living with them

Branch: so what's going on with the egg 

Poppy: oooo I think it's time the baby is hatching 🤩

Then when the egg hatched it was a healthy baby girl who had purple skin, and her mother's hair and eye color and they decided to name her Willow Rose and both kingdoms were overjoyed by the birth of the new princess especially since she is the first one to be born from both a land troll and a mertroll

King John Dory: Branch I never thought that you would end up being the first out of us to have a child but for my new baby niece I want to give her this

Then he shows a locket with Willow's name on it and when he opens it music plays and it shows the mertroll kingdom and some of its residents 

Branch: aww JD what is this 

King John Dory: I wanted Willow to have this and wear it around her neck when she is older so that way she will always remember that she is a troll born of land and sea

And just as everyone was celebrating they saw someone who looked similar to the sea witch that the brothers had defeated last year

John Dory: Ruby your sister was banished for experimenting magic on a child and then she was killed because she tried to take over the Mertroll Kingdom 

Then Ruby grabbed the baby princess from Poppy's hands and throws Willow into the mouth of her shark but unfortunately King John Dory uses the power of the trident to shrink the shark into a size of a piranha with Ruby swearing that she will be back, and the former sea queen use her magic to save Willow from falling into the water later the whole family went to the beach to discuss what to do 

King John Dory: look I have the guards out to find Ruby and her accomplice 

Branch: but John Dory what if Ruby is just as if not more relentless as her older sister 

Then Willow tries to crawl into the water 

Poppy: no Willow 

Floyd: what are you saying Branch 

Branch: *trying not to cry* I'm sorry guys but Willow can never know about the existence of mertrolls *gives John Dory the locket back*

Princess Viva: if you are going to make that decision then I forgo my title as heir to the throne because I can't be without Clay 

Poppy: Viva please don't go your my only sister 🥺

King John Dory: ok I will use the trident's power to turn you into a mertroll so you can live with us in the sea and so this isn't hard I will use my powers to turn you, Clay and your future children into land trolls to celebrate Willow's birthday along with any future children they have 

Floyd: John Dory, Bruce I'm going to miss you guys 😢

Bruce: we are going to miss you too 

Then John Dory used his trident to turn Viva into a mertroll and the four mertrolls swim back to the mertroll kingdom as Branch and Poppy stunned that they are now going to be the future king and Queen of the land trolls and that now they are going to have to hide Willow's half mertroll heritage from her while John Dory was so devastated by the possibility of never seeing his two youngest brothers again and he drops the locket
