28 ⚡ Werecats
Chapter 28
My fingers twirl the shining ring around my middle finger. With Dante knowing about my feelings for Xavier, it looks like he's starting to trust me more.
It's been a couple of days since Xavier and I had the twin flames talk. We didn't have much time to catch up because Dante makes me work until late at night. Even though I always work out, cleaning the packhouse is making my body sore.
The only place Dante doesn't allow me to clean is his office, which makes me guess that all my answers are in that room. Of course, the more days pass, the more I'm convinced about my theory.
Dante is providing felines to his clients because they want us. I just need to figure out why and what I can do to stop it. Unless they're volunteering, the business should be nonexistent.
Humans after humans come and go from the house, all aware of the creatures' existence and wanting nothing but to be a part of it.
"Alexa," someone calls.
My gaze lifts to meet Dante's one. "What are you doing in front of my office?" he asks.
I straighten my back, pushing my body away from the wall. "Can we talk?" I ask as he unlocks the door.
I want to try asking him directly about werecats and see what happens. My patience is running thin. Plus, he's my ex, and I've been cleaning the house for days.
"Come on in," he says, walking around the neat desk and sitting down on his wheeling chair.
My feet follow him inside, and I close the door before taking my seat. "You know it's been a while since I've been here, right?" I start.
Dante rests his handsome face onto the palm of his hand. "Are you finally going to tell me the real reason why you're here?" he asks.
I blink, tilting my head to the side. "You already know why I'm here, but leaving that aside, do your clients only ask for humans? Because I've seen dozens of them come and go, but no werecats."
"Why do you care about werecats so much?" he asks, furrowing his thin dark eyebrows.
I smile, leaning back against the chair. "I'm here because I knew werecats were doing the same thing humans do. I wanted to meet other fellow felines. You know, Xavier can be a little annoying sometimes."
Dante chuckles at the mention of Xavier. "Did you confess your feelings for him?" he asks instead.
My eyes narrow. "Don't change the subject. When can I meet other werecats?"
He shrugs at that. "I don't think you ever will. Werecats are different than humans. I send them off directly to my clients, so no one will stop here."
I hum to myself. Dante cares about humans acting a certain way, but not with werecats? The question I have in mind might jeopardize the lie I told him about being here for the money, but I need to know.
"Are you sending werecats off against their will?" I ask, squeezing my clasped hands.
Dante's face hardens. A chill runs down my back as I take a deep inhale, my eyes unwavering from his. "So you're here because of them," he says, standing up.
My jaw clenches as I try keeping a straight face. "I'm not—"
"Cut the crap. It makes sense now. I knew someone was going to come and investigate, sooner or later." He traps me on the chair by grabbing the arms of it. I have to crane my neck up to look at him.
Did I just fuck everything up?
"What do you mean by that?" I quietly ask.
Dante's eyes are void of emotion. "Take off your clothes if you want to know the answer."
My lips go into a thin line. "So you're that type of person," I say, glaring at him.
He straightens his back, crossing his inked arms over his bulky chest. "I am with people like you. Now, get undressed."
My heart is nervously hammering in my chest. Nonetheless, I stand up, skillfully unbuttoning the maid uniform from behind. My eyes are set on Dante as I drop the dress on the floor, revealing the dark lingerie.
My breathing is shallow, and although he's trying hard to be unfazed, I can see the hunger behind that hardened gaze. "Get on your knees," he orders.
"Will you tell me about the werecats? The truth," I say.
Dante blinks. "On your knees."
I swallow my pride and obey him, meeting his bulge begging for attention. "Unbutton my pants," he says.
And here I thought only humans asked for sex in exchange for a favor. Ew.
My hands unbutton his pants, pulling them down with his boxer briefs, completely freeing him. Without waiting for his next order, I take him in my hands and pull out my tongue, licking his length.
Dante grunts, fisting my hair as my tongue swirls around his head before taking it in. I close my eyes, imagining that I'm doing it to Xavier. My cheeks flush at the thought with my head moving at a steady pace as my hand strokes his base.
I'm sure Dante's groans can be heard from the outside. My mind eventually becomes blank, putting all my focus on sucking him off. I play with my tongue and alternate the pace, receiving pleasurable noises from him.
Xavier can't find out about it.
As if on cue, the sound of the door opening makes my heart stop beating. I try pulling away, but Dante keeps my head in place with brute force. I gag, not expecting him to pull me that far down.
The scent of Xavier's perfume invades my lungs. A maniac laugh comes out of him as if refusing to believe the scene unfolding in front of him. "You sick bastard," he says, and before I know it, a slapping sound is heard before a painful tug makes my mouth pull out of Dante's erection.
My head rolls back, looking up at Xavier fuming at the wolf. "What do you have in mind?" he growls out. His voice perfectly mixed with his feline, coming out raspier than usual.
"You didn't have to slap my hand that hard," Dante says as I hear the sound of zipping, making me guess that he just pulled up his pants.
My hair is still in Xavier's grasp, leaving me little movement freedom. "I'm trying hard not to punch you right now, so you better tell me why the fuck was my woman sucking you off," he says.
My eyes widen. Did he just—
"Disrespect me one more time, and I'll make sure you don't see the light of the day anymore," Dante growls out.
Meanwhile, my hands reach for Xavier's hold, trying to free myself. He blinks a couple of times before finally glancing at me and dropping his grasp. He helps me get on my feet. "This isn't over," Xavier says before grabbing my wrist and dragging me out of the office.
My body warms up for his touch, loving the way his jaw is clenching in anger for me. Nonetheless, what happened with Dante was something I was willingly doing for the sake of the stupid mission. I wait for us to reach the attic before opening my mouth.
I keep my gaze to the floor, not wanting to see the pack's wide-eyed look for my lack of attire. At least I'm not naked.
Once we're in the attic, Xavier surprises me by throwing my body onto the mattress, making me gasp. I quickly sit up, scooting away from him. "What are you doing?" I ask as he takes his shirt off.
The lion glowers at me. "No, what are you doing? You said nothing happened because you were thinking of me, so what the hell was that?!"
My palms are getting sweatier as my heart is gradually speeding up. "I was— I was doing it for the mission." My voice comes out in a whisper. I don't like how he's looking at me now.
Xavier gets out of his jeans, leaving him only in black boxers. In a blink of an eye, his hands grab my ankles, effortlessly pulling my body down. I gasp.
"Give me my ring," he says as he climbs onto the bed, resting in between my legs.
Tears blurry my vision. "Wh—why?" I quietly ask, not liking where this is going.
He's not putting an end to us, is he?
His eyes are stone cold. "The ring," he repeats. With shaky hands, I slide it off, handing it to him.
"You remember the meaning of it, right?" he asks as he slides it down his middle finger, although it stops halfway through.
I blink my tears back, nodding my head. "If I give it back to you is to put an end to our deal," I say with my voice breaking at the end.
Xavier nods. "Correct, but you're missing something." He kisses the ring before sliding it off. "This is me putting an end to our deal," he says, dropping it on my bare stomach.
My heart is making it harder for me to breathe, refusing to let him go. "Why?" I sob, wiping the tears that are falling.
Xavier eyes glow, penetrating my soul. "Because I'm in love with you."
AAAAAAAAAH the next chapter was one of my favourites but then Kali's scenes came and now I'm in love with her lol.
Anyways, don't forget to vote and see you on Friday! x
