*Athena's POV*

Pride Rock...

Me, Taka, and Mufasa ran behind Pride Rock. We know our mommy is here with grandma Amina. They always hang here when daddy is gone doing his King work.

"Hey, mommy!" Smiled Mufasa.

"Grandma!" Smiled Taka.

Mufasa ran up to mommy, Taka ran up to Grandma. Me? I stayed behind.

"Wow, you three are back already?" Ask grandma, nuzzling Taka.

Mommy lick Mufasa's face. "Yeah. What made you guys come home so early?"

I shrug. "No reason."

Mufasa climbed on top of mommy's back. "Where's dad? I have to tell him something!"

"Out talking to the hyena clan. Someone from the pride spot a hyena pup in the Pride Lands yesterday." She replied.

I laid down. "Maybe he or she was lost."

Grandma nodded. "That is true, Athena. But it can also lead danger to our pride. We don't want any hyenas living in the Pride Lands. Because of them we have lost a few Cubs over the past two years. They claim it was just an accident!"

Mommy shift her eyes down to me, Mufasa, and then over to Taka. "If anything happens to you three, I don't know how I would live."

Mufasa looked at Grandma. "Now I see why dad doesn't let us go to certain places."

Taka jump out of grandma's arms and stood strongly with his chest poked out. "I'm not scared of any hyenas!"

Mommy smirked. "Is that so, Taka."

"I would love to see." I said, knowing he's lying.

"Fine. Tomorrow morning we'll go to the Grave Yard!" Taka said.

Grandma look confused. "The Grave Yard?"

Mufasa nodded. "Yeah, dad said that's where he exiled the hyenas to."

Mommy frowned. "No! None of you will be going there. That place is very forbidden. If I ever catch you three there, you will be in serious trouble. I can't believe your father would tell you something like that!"

"Actually, daddy didn't tell us mommy. Me, Mufasa, and Taka were listening when you and daddy talked last night outside the cave." I said.

Grandma frowned. "And I thought you three were sleep."

Me, Mufasa, and Taka looked down feeling ashamed.

"In the cave, now!" Mommy demanded.

I hung my head down walking off to the cave with Mufasa and Taka behind me.

In the cave...

"I don't get why we're in the cave. What did we do?" Said Mufasa.

Us three are all laying down inside the dark, quiet empty cave. Everyone else is outside.

I frown looking across at Taka. "It's Taka's fault! You should of never brought up the Elephant Grave Yard."

Taka frowned back. "Whoa, don't blame this all on me Athena. You're the one who said we were up listening to dad and mom's conversation last night!"

Mufasa groaned with irritation. "Both of you shut up! It's all of our faults okay? Arguing is not going to help our problem."

Mufasa is right. Me and Taka both stared down at our paws.

"Your'e both siblings." He continued, "Love each other. Tomorrow won't always be promised. You heard what grandma Amina said about the hyenas killing one of the pride's Cubs."

I look up at Mufasa, "Your right Muffy."

"Now, can you both apologize and get along?"

I nod. Taka who's still staring down at his paws made a mumble.

Mufasa lift up a brow, "Taka?"

Taka roll his green eyes. "Fine. I'm sorry Athena."

I smile, "I'm sorry too, brother. I love you!"

Taka looked up with small surprise then smiled. "I love you too, little sis!"

Mufasa smiled. "Great."

I love both of my big brothers. Mufasa is right, tomorrow isn't always promised. So we have to love and protect each other. I lay my head down over my paws closing my red eyes.

*Sarabi's POV*

Next Day, Morning...

"Come on, Saffy. Hurry up!" I yell, running across the large plains.

"I'm trying Sarabi! You know I have short legs." Sarafina yelled back, running slow behind me.

Sarafina. Cream muzzle, underbelly, and toes, yellow eyes with blue pupils, black eyelashes, and brown eyebrows is my best friend. We've been friends since the day we were brought into the world. Our mommy's are best friends too. The name of our pride is, "The Shimmer Pride". While our mommy's are hunting, me and Saffy (Sarafina) decide to go explore around.

"We're here!" I smiled.

I stop running and so did Sarafina who bump hard into the back of me. I fell and so did she. We both help each other up laughing.

"Saffy, you clumsy girl." I laughed.

Sarafina walked forward looking down a cliff. "So, this is the place you were blabbing to me about last night Sarabi?"

I nod. "Yup. Doesn't it look cool?"

"Not really. It's more dark, foggy, and spooky!"

"Oh come on Saffy, it's not scary."

Sarafina took her eyes off the place meeting them with my red ones. "Well please explain to me why are there bones scattered and piled up everywhere?"

I shrug and start sliding my way down the short cliff carefully. "Maybe someone likes collecting bones. I don't know, just come on!"

"Ugh, fine! If we die its your fault."

"We're not going to die Sarafina. Your worrying too much!"

I wait for Saffy to finish sliding down the short cliff. Once she made it to the bottom, we start walking around the new place that I've discovered yesterday. Saffy wasn't with me, she was home getting groomed. Not paying any attention what's ahead, Saffy tripped over a long bone that use to be an arm or leg.

She fell on her belly with a loud grunt noise. I shook my head turning around to help her up.

"Sarafina, you have to pay attention what's in front you. You know there's bones everywhere!" I said.

"Sorry Sarabi, I was busy looking around our surroundings just in case of a predator may pop out." She replied, dusting herself off with her paw.

"There's no one here."

"How would you know?"

"Don't worry. Now can we please continue walking?" I ask, sounding annoyed.

She nod not saying a word. I start back walking with her close beside me. I'm not scared of anything. I've always been brave. Sarafina is the little scaredy cat. But she's my best friend, I still love her. Up ahead I see a dark shadow appear in the white fog. I have no idea what it is because of how far it is. Sarafina seem to notice too.

"What is that shadowy thing ahead?" She asked me.

"I don't know." I replied, "But let's check it out!"

"Are you crazy?! It could be a predator."

Here we go again with this predator mess. I'm getting tired of Sarafina now.

"If your so worried about getting attacked, then go back home Sarafina. I don't have time to stop. I must find out what's here!"

Sarafina turned around with a frown. "Fine!"

We both walked away going our separate ways. I switch my walking to running now as the dark shadow came closer. I'm now about to find out what it is. Next thing you know... BAM!!! I bump heads into someone hard and fell down on my side.

"Ouch!" I whine.

My eyes are closed. I stood slowly up opening them and saw standing in front of me is another cub. It has yellow-gold fur, beige underbelly, nose and paws. My red eyes met with its ruby colored ones.
