*Sarabi's POV*

Next Day...

Late morning, me and Sarafina decide to go in the Pride Lands and visit the royal siblings. We been met the King and Queen. When we were Cubs, Queen Uru found us playing at the water hole. She notice how much her children loved us. She told King Ahadi about us and he start asking me and Sarafina random questions. Like where are we from? How do we know each other?

King Ahadi surprisingly told us we can visit the Pride Lands whenever we want. I guess because we're from the Shimmer Pride. The Shimmer Pride leaders are good lions to King Ahadi and Queen Uru.

I follow Sarafina climbing up Pride Rock.

"Mufasa, Taka, Athena!" I called, standing in front of the cave.

Athena walked out.

"Hey, Athena!" Smiled Sarafina.

"Oh, hey girls!"

"Where are your brothers?" I ask.

Athena looked down. "Mufasa is inside the cave with Rafiki the baboon. He's fixing his injured right paw. Taka otherwise is out some where. He never returned home last night..."

Sarafina gasp. "Oh my!"

I start walking halfway into the cave. "Can I please see him?"

"Let me go check!" Said Athena.

Athena went back inside the cave. A minute or so she came back out nodding. I ran inside. Sarafina stayed outside the cave with Athena learning about what happen with Taka.

"Ouch!" Mufasa yelled.

"Sorry, Prince Mufasa." Said Rafiki.

I walk towards the far back of the cave and saw Rafiki wrapping Mufasa's injured paw with a large green leaf. The leaf contains a special medicine that will help heal his injury fast.

Rafiki nod. "Finished!"

"Thank you." Mufasa half smiled.

Rafiki grab his stick and walk pass me heading out the cave. Mufasa didn't see me.

"Hey there, Muffy." I spoke.

He look up with surprise. "Sarabi? How long have you been standing there??"

"Not long."

I lay down beside him. Mufasa tried hiding his wrap up paw but failed. I already seen it anyway.

"What happen to your paw?" I ask curiously.

Mufasa turned his head away. "Taka bit me..."

"Why?"

"He's upset that I was chosen future King."

I shook my head. "Let me guess, you two fought?"

Mufasa nodded not saying a word. I let out a sigh.

"You guys are brothers. Fighting over a crown is just awful. Taka should be proud and supporting you." I said.

"Right! I just don't get why he's so serious and angry about it, Sarabi. What did I do to ever upset Taka like that? Then he mention that mother and father don't show him care. That's so not true!" Mufasa said.

"Maybe Taka needs some time alone. Where is he by the way?"

Mufasa turn his head back facing me. He shrug his shoulders, "No one knows. Last time me, mother, and father had saw him was last night in the grasslands. After father hit him on the eye, Taka ran away. He never back came home..."

I gasp. "Your father hit him?"

"I'm shocked as you are."

"I'm so sorry, Muffy. My prayers will be sent to your family."

Mufasa gave me a weak smile. "Thank you, Sarabi."

I leaned over and bump foreheads with Mufasa. He bump back. He's my second best friend. I will always be there for him. This must be hard for him, his father, sister, and mother right now.

"If you ever need anything or someone to talk to, I'm here." I told him, with a serious tone.

Mufasa nodded.

*Sarafina's POV*

"That's so terrible..." I said.

Athena just got done telling me what happen between Taka and Mufasa last night, then what King Ahadi done to Taka's eye. It's all so awful. I know Queen Uru is taking this tough. She doesn't know when her son will return home.

"I'm just worried. What if something happens to him Sarafina?" Said Athena, crying a tear.

I nuzzle her in a sisterly way and rest my chin on top of her head. "I'm worried too. Don't worry, he'll come back. Maybe Taka just need space away from everyone."

Athena nod her head sniffing. Sarabi walked out of the cave.

"Did you speak with him?" I ask.

She nod smiling. "Yeah, Mufasa is doing fine now."

I broke away from Athena. "Well Athena, me and Sarabi are going to go now. I'll let you and Mufasa be alone. You guys are going through a difficult time."

Athena nod not saying a word. She watch me and Sarabi exit going down Pride Rock.

*Zira's POV*

Sun Pride...

I'm walking through the plains bored with nothing to do. I practice my hunts earlier and successfully passed. I caught a warthog, zebra, and now a gazelle. After eating the gazelle I started my walk. My mother found a mate at the end of my cub hood. Guess what? I have siblings now! Well, step siblings. I bet your wondering who's the guy? He's a male outside of the pride but joined the Sun Pride once finding out mother is expecting his Cubs.

She gave birth to a girl and boy. The girl name is, "Saada" and the boy name is "Nemsi". Their father is "Nyuni". He's my stepdad obviously and is very nice to me. I like him a lot. He's like my real father or something. Too bad I never met my real father. Mother said my real father is a rouge. She claim he's very handsome with my color eyes.

I felt something jump on my back. I stop walking and look behind me. It's just my little step brother Nemsi.

He laughed, "Got ya, big sis!"

Then something bit my tail. It's Saada, I chuckle.

"You Cubs must want to play?" I ask sitting.

Nemsi slide down my back. "Yeah, we do!"

Saada made a small frown. "You don't play with us anymore, Zira!"

"That's not true, Saada. I always play with you two. When is there not a time I don't play?" I said.

Nemsi laid down smiling. "Zira plays with us all day ever day!"

A teen lion with an short black growing mane walked pass us. I have never seen him here before. He must be new in the pride. The Sun Pride always welcome new members. If not, then he's a rouge. I want to investigate so I got up and followed him.

"You two stay here, I'll be back!" I told Saada and Nemsi.

I can't promise them staying in one spot. Cubs like moving around. I know nine times out of ten they'll catch up with me later. The teen male stop walking and looked behind him. I got low in the grass.

"Hmmm." He said.

I remain quiet. The lion shrug his shoulders and went back to walking. I follow him some more then accidentally step on a loud stick.

Crack!!!

The lion twitch his ears. He spun around seeing me. I gulp and back away slowly. This is the part where I run. I start running but he caught up fast. He pounce on me. We roll around a few times. I land on my back with him pinning me.

"Are you following me?" He asked, with attitude.

"N-No." I stuttered, "I-I was just looking for my sister and brother!"

"What? We're right here Zira!" Said Saada, walking up with Nemsi at her side.

The male look confused. "Wait, Zira?"

I lift a brow. "Wait. You know me?"

The male got off so I can get up. He nod sitting with a smile. "Yeah, it's me. Taka! Don't remember when we were Cubs and you came in to the Pride Lands? Now look at us, we're teens almost adults!"

I got up and start walking away with a frown. "Oh yea, I remember you. Come on Saada and Nemsi!"

"Where are you going?"

"None of your business."

Taka smirked and jump in front of me. I stop on my tracks growling.

"If you don't move."

"What will happen?"

I sighed. "What are you doing here in my pride's territory, Taka? I'm sure the King wouldn't like seeing unexpected guests in his lands."

Taka sat down amused. "It's funny how you use and remember the line Zazu had said when we were Cubs."

"I'm serious Taka. What are you outside of the Pride Lands?"

"Don't worry about it. Just know I left for a reason."

I walk pass him. "You can't stay here. If the King or Queen finds you, you can be in big trouble."

Taka got up. "Gee's, I was only passing through."

I kept walking with Saada and Nemsi both at my sides. Taka went the opposite direction leaving out the Sun Pride's territory. I flatten my ears. Maybe I did sound mean to him. Oh well! Now he gets to feel how I felt when we were Cubs. What goes around, comes around.
