*Scar's POV*

"He's no longer breathing Scar, he's dead." Said Zira.

She nod. I release my jaws from his throat. He's laying down in his own pool of blood, both eyes half way open. I took my paw gently closing them. It's just creepy when a dead person or animal still has its eyes open!

"What do we do now?" Zira ask me.

"Hide him." I said, with a "duh" tone.

Zira help me push the heavy fella on my back. I carry him off some place far where his body will rot and that no one will ever find him in.

"Here is fine." I nod.

I put the lion on the dry cracked ground. This place doesn't have any grass nor life. It's dark, foggy, and very cloudy. The trees don't have any leaves on them. I don't think no one will pass through here. Just in case if we were followed though, Zira and I made a quick run for it back to the Pride Lands.

When we reach the beautiful Pride Lands, we stop catching our breaths. Zira high-five me smiling.

"Great work! Sarafina is definitely going to be hurt when she finds out her mate is gone missing for several days or weeks."

I high-five Zira back then smirk. "Yeah, now she'll be crying on my shoulder. At last I'll have Sarafina to myself! She was suppose to be mines a long time ago. That cub in her belly could have been ours if I hadn't ran away."

Zira look down at her paws sadly. What did I say wrong?

"Zira, are you alright?"

"Nothing. I better go home, my mother and step father are probably wondering where I am."

"Oh ok, goodbye. Thanks for your help I owe you one Zira!"

With that, Zira ran away home. I follow a short path to my own personal den and went inside. There I found a large piece of wilder beast meat. I gave it a sniff, it's still fresh. The hunting party must of brought it here while I was gone.

I lay down eating the meat with joy. Such goodness!

"Um, excuse me Scar sire?" Said a voice from outside.

I roll my eyes. Every time I eat or sleep someone is always at my den. It sounds like Zazu.

"Come in, Zazu. What do you want?"

"Your sister Athena left the Pride Lands last night. I thought I should tell the whole pride the news. I suggest we all go look for her tonight. You know, make up a search party!"

I continue to eat my food. "Why would she leave? That's her problem."

Zazu frowned. "That is your sister Taka! How dare you say such rude words? Athena could be out there starved or in danger."

"Stop calling me Taka you hornbill, it's Scar!"

"Well, whatever. Your going to help us find your sister tonight and that's final! I'll make sure of that by telling your father. Let's see if you can argue with that."

I growl and grab Zazu by his bird tail. I was about to put him in my mouth until I heard some one loudly clear their throat. I look seeing father.

"Scar, put him down." He ordered.

I chuckle. "Oh father, Zazu and I were just playing."

"Mhm."

I release Zazu from my tight grip. He flew off and sat on father's right shoulder fixing his feathers.

"Tonight the whole pride will help look for Athena. You have no choice to participate Scar. I expect you to show!"

"Fine..."

My father looked very serious. I watch him walk out of the den. Zazu turn around sticking his tongue at me. I growl at him showing my teeth. That little annoying bird!

*Jengo's POV*

Sky Leaf Pride...

"Today I've got a message from the Pride Lands." I told my mate Zaina.

Zaina and I are laying down on a large warm rock. She lift her head up from her paws.

"What did they say?" She ask.

"One of my cousin's, Athena is missing. They said a cheetah claim that she had saw her leave out the Pride Lands with a male lion last night."

"So, your uncle wants us to help find her I assume?"

I nod. "Yeah. But I mean, I'll send out Taavi and some other pride members to go help search. I can't leave, I have to stay watching over my territory. There's been some rouges passing through that I have to constantly check for."

"Taavi needs a break Jengo. You know Kasia is expected to give birth on one of these days. Let him be with his family, I'll go!" Zaina offered.

"You sure?"

"Yeah, let me go. I'm sure you can handle the pride alone."

I nuzzle her. "Alright."

Zaina lick my cheek then rest her head over my large front two paws.
