*Zira's POV*

Night...

"Scar?" I call.

Scar step out of his den. "So, what did your family say?"

"My mother doesn't mind. She completely understands and told me to go on."

"Hm. Well, come on in! It feels pretty chilly tonight."

I nod. I follow Scar in his den. It's a nice size. Not too big or small. Just right! I was so busy examining the den, that I didn't pay  attention on what's in front of me. I accidentally kick a leg bone.

Scar chuckles with embarrassment, "Sorry, I forgot to clean my mess earlier."

I sit. "It's alright."

Awkward silence fell.

Scar laid down clearing his throat. "Um, feel free to make yourself home. My den is yours."

I lay down also across from him. "Thank you. Does Mufasa know I'm living here in the Pride Lands now?"

"No. We'll both tell him in the morning."

I didn't say anything but nod and lay my head down over my front paws closing my eyes.

It's been a week now since I've moved in Scar's den. Each day I notice how close we've gotten. We help each other hunt. When ever Sarafina is around, Scar makes her easily jealous. Life so far for me has been good.

"Zira?"

"Yes Scar?"

Scar met his green eyes with my red ones. "I was thinking, what if we make up our own pride?"

My eyes widen. "Pride? Scar, that's a lot of responsibility and hard work. We have to get lions to join. Not to mention we have find a place too. I don't know anything about ruling."

"Relax Zira, I can give you lessons on how to become a strong leader. My father always gave Mufasa and I lessons when we were cubs. It'll be easy!"

"Okay. When do we start?"

Scar smiled. "Now if you want?"

I smile back nodding. "Now would be good."

"To be a leader you MUST be confident, firm but kind, become an expert, be decisive, keep your promises not letting the pride down, treat your pride well, show commitment, and make decisions."

"Okay."

Scar circled around me. "You seem to meet the standards already. Your always firm, nice posture, and show great loyalty. Most of all Zira, your beauty."

"My beauty?" I question.

"Yes. You'd make a beautiful Queen."

I blush looking down at my paws. Scar lift up my chin. My eyes met with his own. I stare deep inside them. Nothing but love I find.

"Zira and Scar sitting in a tree, K-I-SS-I-N-G!!"

My ears perk up. "What was that?"

Scar growled, "Cubs!"

Four cubs walk out of the tall grass. One of them I recognize. It's Sarafina's daughter Nala.

"Nala, can you and your friends go bug some one else please?" Scar frowned.

Nala giggled, "Sorry mister Scar. We were only just passing through on our way back to Pride Rock!"

"You two are about to kiss!" Pointed a cream colored cub that holds a slight tinge of orange. She has a head tuft.

I shook my head, "No!"

"Ew, that's just gross!" Said a reddish brown cub with pale underbelly, a messy tuft of fur on his head, and reddish brown eyes. His paws are colorless just like Nala's.

Scar scratch the back of his neck while blushing.

"Come on guys, let's go bother Zazu instead!" Suggested a cub with caramel brown fur, red eyes, pink nose, a pale muzzle and underbelly, and colorless paws. She has a dark brown tail tuft.

"Yeah!" Shouts a cub with pale orange fur, red eyes, brown ear rims, unique black ear tufts that sprout from his ears, and a black tuft on his head.

The four cubs run off together with laughter. I shook my head rolling my eyes.

"Darn Kids..." I mumble.

"Please, ignore them." Scar said, rubbing his nose against my cheek.

"I guess. They're still young and don't know any better quite yet! All of them seem to know you. What are there names minus Nala?"

"The cream colored cub that holds a slight tinge of orange and has a head tuft is Tama. The reddish brown cub with a messy tuft of fur on his head, and reddish brown eyes is Chumvi. The other female cub who's caramel brown fur, red eyes, pink nose is Kula. Lastly, the second male cub with pale orange fur, red eyes, brown ear rims, unique black ear tufts that sprout from his ears, and a black tuft on his head is Malka."

"Wow, how do you memorize all of their names?!"

Scar chuckled. "Because I know all of their mothers. My sister Athena is friends with them. I use to watch her play with them when we were cubs back then."

I nod, "Makes sense. Little annoying hair balls!"

Scar laughed. He push me over roughly then took off running.

I got confused. Where is he going I wonder? I chase after him. Suddenly Scar stops and I crash on to him. Seriously? We both fall rolling down a high hill. I scream while he laughed. Once we reach the bottom, Scar lands on his back with me on top.

Colorful leaves fly around us. My eyes met with Scar's green ones for the hundredth time. He leans forward up close and gives my cheek a kiss. My mouth hung open with surprise. That's the first time he kissed me!

I smile feeling very in love. We both nuzzle one another warmly. Scar isn't what lions may think of him. He's actually very sweet. It takes the right lion to bring it out of him.

"Zira?" He ask me.

"Yes, Scar?" I answer.

"I love you. How could be so blind all these years?"

"I love you too. What do you mean by blind?"

Scar looks down sadly. "I should of chosen you a long time ago instead of Sarafina. If I never left the Pride Lands Zira, me and you could of gotten married and have a cubs!"

I smile rubbing my nose against his own. "We still can, Scar."

"We can?"

"Yeah."

Scar got up. His face is full of seriousness. "Zira, will you marry me?"

I jump and down excitedly, "Yes yes!!"

We both hug. I start crying tears. Not sad ones only with joy.

"Come on, let's go tell the pride!" He said, happily.

I nod. Scar runs off leading the way back to Pride Rock.

At last, I now have Scar...
