*Sarafina's POV*

I was halfway up the short cliff until I heard someone yell "Ouch!". It sound like Sarabi. I got worried. What if she's badly hurt? I have to run back and see if Sarabi is at least okay.

"Don't worry best friend, I'm coming!"

I sniff the air catching Sarabi's scent. I follow it to a giant elephant skull. Where is she though?

"Sarabi?" I called.

No response. Just my voice echoing throughout the grave yard. Her scent is strong. She has to be in this area! I was about to go look around some more until I heard something move.

"Sarabi?" I call again. "If it's you come on, this isn't funny."

"Hehehehe!" A voice laughed.

I know that familiar sound. A hyena is close by. What if it hurt or killed Sarabi? I have to get out of here fast. Just as I was about to make a run for it, something stomp on my tail. I fall on my belly. My eyes water as I squeeze them tight.

"Please, leave me alone!" I cried.

The hyena is a male. A young adult male that is. He sat down still holding my small tail.

"This is no place for a lion cub. What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I-I was just l-looking for m-my friend." I sobbed.

"There's another?"

"I hope you didn't eat her!"

The hyena got confused and release me from its paw. He stuck out his tongue, "Me eating a lion cub? Ewwww!"

I got up and lift a brow. "Wait a minute, you don't eat lion cubs?"

"Nope. No offense but, you guys taste gross! Never again will I eat one. Bad experience."

This hyena just told me he doesn't prey on lion cubs. I am happy to hear that, but it all sound so strange. What a weird hyena...

I smiled, "Wow. Your the first hyena I met that doesn't eat Cubs."

The hyena smiled back. "Just keep this a secret between me and you kid. Okay?"

"Your secret is safe with me Mr. Hyena! Can you please help me find my best friend Sarabi? Me and her split up. I was on my way home until I heard her yell ouch. I want to find her and see is if she's alright!"

"Sure. What does she look like?"

"Um, my height but with taller legs. As you can tell mines are short. She has a cream muzzle, underbelly, and toes, yellow eyes with red pupils, black eyelashes, brown eyebrows, salmon nose, both brown ear linings and mane on her tail."

The hyena nod and went off to search. I ran following behind. Can't believe I'm alive with a hyena!

*Zira's POV*

At the Sun Pride...

"Hey, can I play?" I ask smiling.

I walk up to a group of Cubs from my pride. Two are girls and three are boys. They looked at me as if I'm crazy.

"No you can't play with us!" Frowned one of the boys.

"Yeah, you play too rough Zira!" Nod one of the girls.

"Last time you played with us, you broke a nail from my left paw." Said the second girl cub.

"So no." Said third girl cub.

"Come on guys, let's go some where far from Zira." Said the second boy cub.

I look down. They all ran off laughing. No one never wants to play with me. I'm always alone! My mommy tries to help me make friends in the pride, but all Cubs do is run away or scream with fright. I can't help it that I play rough. It's what I naturally do. Fighting is fun to me.

I guess I'll go find something else to do. I walked down a narrow path that led to the river. On the other side is the Pride Lands. I know, I can go play with Taka and his siblings! Yeah, great idea. I step into the water swimming across the river to the Pride Lands.

*Mufasa's POV*

Elephant Grave Yard...

"Are you okay?" I ask the cub.

She nod rubbing her head. "Yeah, I think so."

I smile stepping forward. "My name is Mufasa. What's yours?"

"Sarabi."

"Pretty."

Sarabi blushed looking down at her paws. "Heh, thanks!"

I sat down. "What pride are you from?"

"The Shimmer Pride. You?"

"Pride Rock."

She sat down with a gasp. "Pride Rock? Your Prince Mufasa!"

I chuckled. "I know."

"I'm so sorry for not bowing the first time we spoke."

"It's okay Sarabi, you didn't know who I was."

"Saraaaaaabi!!!" A loud voice called.

We both twitched our ears standing up.

"Sarabi are you out here?" The voice called again.

Sarabi's red eyes grew with excitement. "Saffy?!"

I hear paw steps behind me. I turn around seeing a hyena and panicked.

"HYENA!!!"

I jump behind Sarabi shaking like a fuzzy maraca. Sarabi growled loudly showing her claws.

"What did you do with Saffy, hyena?!"

The hyena laughed. A cream cub step out from behind him. She has blue eyes. I watch her run up to Sarabi.

"Best friend!"

"Sarafina!"

The two hugged. I stood awkwardly.

"I thought you were dead!" Said the cream cub.

Sarabi laughed. "Of course not! Not even a fly can hurt me."

The hyena start to walk off. "Your welcome, Sarafina. You Cubs better leave now before my clan find you all here!"

Sarafina nod with a smile. "Thank you, Mr. Hyena!"

Sarabi and I mouth are dropped open. The cub name I'm guessing is "Sarafina".

"What's the matter with you guys?" She asked us chuckling.

"You know that hyena?" I ask her, walking up to Sarabi's side.

She nod. "Yeah, he's a nice hyena. Now let's go!"

I follow the girls up a short cliff. Once we made it to the top, I spot Taka and Athena sitting down underneath a tree.

"There you are Mufasa, we was beginning to worry!" Said Taka.

I roll my eyes then frown at them. "Sure you guys were. Thank you for ditching me in the grave yard!"

Athena walked up and hug me. "Me and Taka thought we heard a predator. We're sorry Mufasa!"

Taka stood beside her nodding. "Yeah we are. I don't know what I'd do without my big brother!"

I smile and hugged them both. Sarabi and Sarafina otherwise stood behind me awkwardly. I literally forgot they're still here and cleared my throat.

"Sarabi, Sarafina, meet my royal siblings. This is Prince Taka and the other is Princess Athena!"

Sarabi and Sarafina bowed down.

Athena giggled. "No need to bow to us. My parents are the ones you need to show respect and bow down to."

Taka rolled his eyes. "Oh let them just bow Athena."

Sarabi and Sarafina laughed.

"You guys are cool." Smiled Sarabi.

"I can't believe I'm talking to two princes and a princess." Said Sarafina.

"It'll be even better once I'm King!" Said Taka walking close up to Sarafina and stuck out his chest.

I frowned. "Taka, none of us don't know who'll be the next leader."

"I think you should be King, Mufasa." Smiled Sarabi.

My cheeks turned red. "Really?"

"Yes."

Taka frowned with jealousy. "What about me though? I'm handsome and brave. I'm not scared of anything!"

Athena smirked. "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah!"

Out of no where jumping out from the bushes is Zira. The girl cub me, Taka, and Athena had met yesterday. She pinned Taka down on his belly.

"Got ya!"

"Aaaah!!!" Taka yelled.

Everyone laughed. Taka didn't find it amusing at all. He growled struggling to get up.

"Get off of me, Zira!"

Zira leap off standing next to Athena. Taka got up dusting himself from all the dirt.

"Taka, you okay?" Sarafina asked.

He nod at her. "Yeah, I'm cool."

Taka happen to turn his head and spot a small blue flower in the grass. He rush over and came back with it in his mouth giving the flower to Sarafina.

"Flower?" He asked.

Sarafina looked down shyly at her paws smiling. "Oh Taka, you shouldn't have!"

I notice Zira watching them with an angry face. She brought out her claws digging them in the dirt as she growled. Whoa, someone is jealous. Sarabi saw it too. Sarafina took the flower and put it behind her left ear. It matched perfect fully with her eyes.

Sarabi look up at the sun noticing it's about to set. "Saffy, we better get back home before its dark."

Sarafina nodded and began leading the way home after saying good bye. Me, Taka, and Athena said bye back minus Zira. Zira obviously dislikes Sarafina.

"We should get home too guys!" Said Athena.

"Yeah, I'll we'll see you around some other time Zira." I said.

Taka scoff at Zira while walking pass her. "I don't understand why you came anyways. You weren't suppose to return here. I could tell my dad!"

Zira made a face at Taka like she was going to cry. "Go ahead, I don't care!"

With that, Zira ran off home. Taka is wrong. I shook my head while me and Athena follow him home.
