Nala

Back at Pride Rock in the Pride Lands...

"No. It was an accident."

Scar walks around and around Simba as he accuses him.

"If it weren't for you, Mufasa would still be alive. It's your fault he's dead? Do you deny it??"

"No."

"Then... you're... guilty."Scar said, severely.

"No. I'm not a murderer." Simba said, truthfully.

"Oh, Simba, you're in trouble again. But this time, Daddy isn't here to save you. And now EVERYONE.. KNOWS... WHY!"

Scar has been backing Simba up the length of Pride Rock. After his last sentence, Simba slips over the edge and is clinging to the ledge by his forepaws. Lightning strikes below, igniting a fire.

"Simba!" I yell panicking.

"Someone quick help bring him up!" Said one of the lionesses.

"NoooooOOOO! ...Murderer!" Simba shouts.

Simba jumps up the ledge pinning Scar strongly down.

"No, Simba, please." Scar begs.

"Tell them the truth."

"Truth? But truth is in the eye of the behold-"

Simba starts to choke Scar.

"All right, all right. I did it...I did it." Scar said very quietly.

"So they can hear you." Simba frowns.

"I killed Mufasa!"

What?!! Liar!!

I start running towards Scar with fury, the hyenas attack Simba in a wall of teeth. The lionesses join in. I see Timon and Pumba come in too. Hyenas are flying everywhere.

After fighting off what felt like twenty hyenas, I stop to regain my strength and breath. I look around seeing Simba free but Scar no where to be found.

"Where did Scar go?" I ask him.

Simba shrug. He walked fast away to go search. "Some where probably trying to escape. I'll find him, you and the others finish the hyenas off!"

I nod. I start walking the opposite direction. Timon and Pumba seem to be fine fighting. Sarabi although sick, manage to attack a few hyenas here and there. In my mother's jaws I notice a struggling hyena. With one tight shut, the hyena died instantly. Wait to go, mom!

Rafiki the baboon came out of no where running in with his stick and did some crazy cool karate. I was surprised at first then shook my head chuckling. Every one is doing fine so far. The numbers of hyenas are decreasing quickly.

Some had even fell down Pride Rock being burnt in the fire's hot flames. It came from the lighting that had struck the ground earlier. The fire is growing extremely large. We must hurry quick. But someone else here is missing.

Where the heck is Zira?

"Mother, father! Someone help!!" A voice call.

My ears twitch. Someone is in danger...

"Somebody please!"

I follow the voice further away from the fight scene up Pride Rock.

"Is someone there?" I ask, calling back.

"Nala?" The voice reply.

That voice sound so familiar. Wait a minute...Nuka?

I pick up my walking pace following a narrow path. Dark smoke fill the air. I cough and squint my eyes trying to see ahead.

"Nuka, where are you?" I ask.

"Over here!"

His voice is now close. I spot him standing in front of the pride's cave. Nothing but fear in his eyes.

"Nala!"

He rush forward and hug me tight.

I felt oddly confused but hug him back. "What's wrong? Why aren't you in the back with the others?? Soon this place up here will be in flames. You must go where it's safe!"

"I can't. My aunt is laying here!" He said.

Aunt?

I look behind Nuka and see behind him is Athena laying down covered in claw marks and blood.

Oh no...

"What happened?"

"I-I don't know. I came up here to look for my mother to see if she was back from her hunt. Then I found aunt Athena laying here. I think she's still breathing!"

"Help me put her on my back. We have to go, NOW!" I order.

Nuka nod his head and quickly help me lift Athena onto my back. After that we both ran down Pride Rock as the flames grew higher and hotter.

"Ah!"

I stop and turn around. "Nuka!"

He had fallen. He slowly raise himself up shaking his head.

"I'm alright!"

I roll my eyes. "Come on." He always been so clumsy!

Just then, a tree covered in flames had started to fall down. If Nuka doesn't move, he'll be crushed.

I gasp. "Nuka, run!"

"Huh?"

Nuka looks up seeing the tree. "Ahh!!"

He runs to me quick. Luckily the tree had missed him.

He wipe the sweat off his forehead. "Phew, good looking out Nala!"

I nod. "Anytime, now let's go!"

We continue running down Pride Rock to the back where the rest of the pride is.

I can't believe it...

I just saved Nuka's life TWICE...

Why did I do that?

I mean, I could of just rescued Athena and let him die back there...

He's the child of Zira and Scar...

I could care less!

But something somewhere in my heart told me to save him...

It's not his fault that his parents are insane...

Nuka doesn't have to grow up that way...

Maybe someday he'll see that and change...

His number of days becoming King has come fast to an end...
