*Taavi's POV*

I walk inside the den and see Jengo and his mother talking. They pause their conversation seeing me come forward.

I bow my head respectfully. Jengo is my best friend but also the King too.

"Hello Taavi! I have a job for you to do." He said.

"Which is?" I ask.

"Samu report to me earlier that lion paws are by the river. He doesn't know if they're from here. I want you tonight to seek out and find some clues."

"Okay."

I turn around exiting out the den. I really want to rest though and go to bed. But me as the pride's lion guard, I must do my job no matter what time of day. Kaisa is probably going to wonder where I am.

When I made it to the river, I scan my eyes. No sign of danger. I look down seeing medium paw prints.

Female.

I explore the area sniffing the grass, bushes, and two trees. All of them have strong scent markings. Someone is claiming a part of our pride's territory. I must get to the bottom of this.

I follow the scent through tall grasses away from the river. It led me a bit far from the pride to a place with large mountains and several trees. Since I've been brought into this world, I have never seen or gone to this place before.

Interesting.

I spot a nice size cave up ahead.

[*RUSTLE, RUSTLE!*]

It sound like someone close is coming from the tall grass. I quickly hid behind a tree and squat hoping not to be seen.

"But moooom, I'm not sleepy!" Said a whiny voice.

"It's way past your bed time, mister!" Said a different voice.

I peak my head out from behind the tree and see a lioness carrying a cub to the cave.

Rouges?

A male lion step out from the cave and head buds the lioness. They must live here! Another pride living close to ours and sharing the same land? I don't think so.

I release a growl and turn around running back home. I cannot wait to tell Jengo and see his reaction to this.

*Kaisa's POV*

"No way!"

"Yes way!"

Zaina hug me. "Oh my gosh, congrats Kaisa."

I return the hug with a giggle. "See, I knew you would get happy when I tell you this. Thank you!"

"The way you said news earlier I had no idea if it was good or bad. This is really some good news! Have you told Taavi yet?"

"Nope. I want to surprise him. You and my mom are the only two I share this with so far."

Zaina nuzzle me in a sisterly way. "This is such a blessing."

I nuzzle back then sat down.

"So, how did it go inside the den with you and Jengo?" I ask.

"I let out my heart and told him everything."

"Did he accept?"

"Yes."

I made loud girly squeal. Zaina burst out laughing.

"Are you guys together like official or not yet?" I ask anxiously.

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know, Zaina?"

Zaina shrug. "I remember he kiss my cheek and I gave him an affectionate nuzzle in return that's it."

"So flirting basically?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

I smile. "Well, at least you know now that he likes you too. Who knows, maybe he'll pop you the question one day and you'll be Queen of the Sky Leaf Pride!"

Zaina put a paw over her furry chest. "Me Queen?" She shook her head, "Nah. I don't think I'll be the right fit."

"None sense! Your the perfect fit."

"How Kaisa?"

"Your beautiful, smart, friendly, strong in hunting and a fast learner."

Zaina blushes. "Aw, thank you. Maybe your right!"

I laugh. "Aren't I always?"

"No."

We both laugh.

*Zaina's POV*

Next Day, Morning...

The sun shine it's bright rays in the den indicating that it's now morning. I open my grey eyes with a yawn and got up. A small amount of lionesses are still sleeping. The rest are probably out hunting breakfast. I can't believe they left me behind!

I walk out the den to go get a drink of water from the fresh cool river. I crouch down and lap up the water with my pink rough tongue.

"Beautiful morning isn't it?" Said a deep voice.

My ears perk up. I stop drinking and feel a warm presence beside me. I look to my right standing my body up straight. A very tall, fully grown mane, muscular lion gives me a big smile. I have never seen him here before.

Rouge.

"Uh, yes it is." I reply, awkwardly.

"You come here often?"

"In fact yes, my pride lives here. I suggest you go back where you had come from rouge or you'll be dealing with the King."

He laughed. "King? Do you know who I am miss??"

I frown. "No and I don't care. This your warning to leave now!"

I walk off going back home. The male runs up to my side and jump in front me. I growl feeling irritated.

"My name is King Abasi. I would like to meet your King. I'm sure he's nothing great compared to me."

"That's what you say now. What until you meet him. He's going to make you regret stepping foot in his land!"

Abasi step up to me close. His nose is an inch a part from mines. I gulp nervously not knowing what he's about to do.

He smirks. "I have never met a lioness so serious and angry like yourself. Most are afraid of males who aren't from their pride."

"Well not this one!" I said, growling again.

"Relax, I won't hurt you. I don't hit females unless there's a reason to."

Abasi took his paw and grab my chin then rub his paw down my right cheek staring inside my grey eyes. "I'm sorry its just that your so beautiful. Please, come join my pride and be my Queen."

"W-What?" I stutter.

"Be my Queen and join my pride. I live where the mountains are. It's close by!"

"Ummm..."

[*ROAAAAAR!!!!!*]

Abasi and I both jump. A loud roar startled us. Jengo came out of no where and strongly pin Abasi down. I gasp hoping he doesn't kill him in front of me.

"Zaina are you alright?" Asked a panic voice.

I look to my left seeing Taavi run forward.

I nod. "Yeah, I'm totally fine."

Jengo roared again. Abasi is still pinned down.

"Who are you and why are you trespassing in my land? He ask.

Abasi snarl showing teeth. "Your land? Ha! You've must be claiming it terribly then. I don't see or smell any markings."

"Tell me who you are now!"

"My name is King Abasi."

"Where are located?"

"The mountains. Me, my wife, son, and pride moved in yesterday."

Hold up pause. Did Abasi just say wife and son? This guy has a whole family and he wants me to become his Queen? So glad I didn't fall for it or there will be major drama. Besides, my heart is only for Jengo.

"Take your pride and get out!" Jengo frowned.

"Oh come on, my pride and I  haven't caused any trouble." He said.

Taavi growled. "But you didn't ask the King for permission to live in his land. You can't just come here and drink from our river or eat our prey without permission. Here we have rules to follow!"

Abasi growl back at Taavi. "And who's this giving orders telling me what to do when I'm a King!"

"My lion guard. He protects certain areas." Jengo answered.

Abasi snort. Taavi roll his eyes while I sat down.

"One last question. Why were you flirting with my mate?"

Mate?

Jengo called me his mate. Aaaaaah!!! :D

Abasi lift a brow. "Your mate? She doesn't smell Royal. I thought she was just a regular lioness. My apologies..."

I frown. "You have a whole wife. I wonder how she'll react If she knew about you flirting and asking me to become your Queen."

Abasi got nervous and worried. "No, please! Don't tell my wife. She'll go bananas. She's very crazy and protective over me. I can only imagine what she'd do to me if she did find out."

Jengo growled. "Then get out of my sight now!"

King Abasi got up and race home to his pride.

"And don't ever come back!" Taavi yelled.

I shook my head. "Males..."

Jengo walk up and rub his nose on the side of my face. "Are you alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine. He never hurt or touch me. If he did trust me he wouldn't be alive."

Taavi laughed.

Jengo smiled. "Well then, I'm glad your okay."

I stare deep inside his hazel eyes. "When you called me your mate Jengo, did you really mean that?"

"Yes. Zaina, will you marry me and help me rule the Sky Leaf Lands by becoming my beautiful Queen?"

"Yes!"

Taavi came and stood between us smiling. "Awwww, love!"

Jengo and I laughed.

The three of us walked back home together. When we got to the pride, Jengo announced the news to everyone that we are now engaged.

My dream has come true.
