Wedding

No One's POV

Days later...

Twilight melted away. The majestic sunrise, red orange glow seeping over the horizon as if the light itself was being poured from a molten sun. Powerful rays flood over the landscape lighting every blade of grass, shining from each leaf.

Today is a very important day. The Pride Lands Prince is finally going to marry his betrothed lioness. Animals one by one sing and march their way down to Pride Rock.

"The Prince is going to marry, the Prince is going to marry, yes yes yes! Cheers, cheers, cheers!" A male giraffe sang.

"The day has finally come, it is settled and our eyes can witness." Sings a female ostrich.

"Our youngest royal couple are going to marry! What a beautiful event we shall seek." Sings a male zebra. "The Greats Kings would be so proud!"

The animals continue to loudly sing as they arrive and stood in front of Pride Rock. At the very top stands the King "Kovu" as he welcomes them happily with a smile.

His wife, Queen "Kiara" walks up and stands beside him. Her face is filled with much excitement.

"Perfect crowd! Everyone is here." She beams. "The lionesses are still getting Bahiya ready. How's Makosa doing?"

Kovu nods, "Good and nervous. But he'll be alright. That's how I felt when I was marrying you. Except your father did scare me at that time."

Kiara giggles, "Oh honey!"

The married couple both share a loving nuzzle. Unfortunately, Nala could not make it to see her grandson marry. She died from old age. She was very old and even out lived her husband Simba.

She lived a very good life and will always be remembered for her strong bravery and defending Simba by attacking the hyenas and Scar.

A great loyal Queen she was...

Kiara looks up at the morning sky and smiled wide as a shinning light glows down on her.

"Hello, parents!"

She closes her reddish brown eyes as multiple leaves blow around her and Kovu both. Kovu also closes his emerald green eyes with a smile, letting the winds blow his large dark mane.

"Today will be a great day..." he whispers to himself.

"King Kovu, your son is asking for you. He's behind Pride Rock!" Says one of the Pride lionesses.

Kovu nodded. "I'll be right there, thank you!" He gives Kiara another nuzzle then left quickly to go meet up with their son Makosa.

Kiara otherwise went back inside the cave to check up on Bahiya to see how things are going along.

"Bahiya?"

"Yes, Kiara?"

Kiara giggles. "I told you, you can call me mom now. Is everything going okay sweetie?"

Bahiya is surrounded by a bunch of lionesses. A few of them break apart so Kiara could view her soon-to be daughter in law.

She gasps. Her eyes are filled up with tears. She smiles with much joy. "Oh Bahiya...you look so gorgeous. You remind me when I was younger marrying my husband. I had the same exact look."

"Oh mom!" Bahiya says, while giving Kiara a hug. She cries too.

"Bahiya don't cry! Save the tears for later, you'll mess up your beautiful look." Said her mother, Tiifu.

"Oh yeah, I forgot." Bahiya chuckles.

Bahiya is wearing a beautiful white lily flower by her left ear and a lei (garland) around her neck.

"Is it time yet, Kiara?" Tiifu asks.

Kiara shrugs, "I don't know. I didn't get a single from Kovu or Amwa yet. I guess we can wait in here for a bit. The animals are already outside waiting. They're singing!"

Bahiya laughs. "Oh boy."

Tiifu head buds her daughter. "I am so proud of you. You are growing up into a good, respectful, beautiful young lady. Im sure Nala would be so proud of you if she was here to witness the ceremony."

"Yes, my mother would." Kiara smiles, in agreement.

"Queen Kiara?" A voice calls.

It is Amwa Rafiki's daughter standing outside of the cave. Kiara jogged outside. It could be the signal that it is time to start the wedding.

"Yes, Amwa?"

"It is time." Amwa smiles, excitedly. "Everything is set and your son is ready to see his bride!"

Kiara gave Amwa a big hug. "Thank you so much for all of your hard work and being able to attend the ceremony . I will let the lionesses know now!"

"No reason to thank me my Queen and okay!"

While behind Pride Rock...

"Don't worry Makosa, everything is going to be okay. I am going to stand right here beside you. Bahiya will be on her way now. Your mother and Tiifu will walk her down the isle." Said Kovu, while patting Makosa's shoulder.

Makosa gave his father a reassuring smile. He is also wearing a Lei (garland) around his neck.

The lionesses and other Pride members are walking behind Pride Rock now and sat in there assigned seats as practiced.

"That's my nephew!" Kion shouted. He is Makosa's uncle, Kiara's brother, and the current lion guard leader.

Makosa rolled his eyes with laughter while Kovu shook his head.

"Here she comes!" Said Maha. She is Kiara and Kion's sister and also Makosa's aunt. She turns around.

Bahiya makes her entrance with Queen Kiara on her right and her mother Tiifu on her left. They slowly walk down the isle. Everyone gazed at Bahiya with awe.

"Wow..." Makosa comments. He was left speechless.

Bahiya blushes a deep red and smiles shyly at everyone as they all stand bowing their heads.

"You're doing great Bahiya, we are almost there!" Said Kiara.

Once the three made it up to Kovu and Makosa, Kovu bowed his head to Bahiya with respect.

"Congratulations, daughter-in law!" He smiles.

"Thank you, dad-in law." Bahiya chuckles.

Kiara and Tiifu both stood aside so Amwa could enter and stand between Bahiya and Makosa. Today she is the priest.

"We gather here to unite these two young lions in marriage. Their decision to marry has not been entered into lightly and today they publicly declare their private devotion to each other. The essence of this commitment is the acceptance of each other in entirety, as lover, companion, and friend. A good and balanced relationship is one in which neither lion is overpowered nor absorbed by the other, one in which neither lion is possessive of the other, one in which
both give their love freely and without jealousy. "

Amwa continues, "Marriage, ideally, is a sharing of responsibilities, hopes, and dreams. It takes a special effort to grow together, survive hard times, and be loving and unselfish."

Amwa looked at Makosa and Bahiya both. "Do you both pledge to share your lives openly with one another, and to speak the truth in love? Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for one another, cherish and encourage each other, stand together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all the days of your lives?"

"We do." They answer.

"Do you pledge to share your love and the joys of your marriage with all those around you, so that they may learn from your love and be encouraged to grow in their own lives?"

"We do."

Amwa smiles, "May you not only be reminded of
this moment, but also of the vows you have made and the strength of your commitment to each other. Makosa, please repeat after me. I Makosa, promise to love and support you Bahiya and live each day
with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this kiss I thee wed.

Makosa takes Bahiya's paw, repeats vow and gives her a kiss.

"Bahiya, please repeat after me. I Bahiya, promise to love and support you Makosa and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this kiss I thee wed."

Bahiya takes Makosa's paw, repeats vow, and kissed him.

Amwa nodded, "Go now in peace and live in love, sharing the most precious gifts you have- the gifts of your lives united. And may your days be long on this earth. I now pronounce you husband and wife, official future King and Queen, Makosa you may hug and kiss the bride again!"

Bahiya giggles as Makosa hugs her tight and then kissed another time. The two nuzzle lovingly with much affection. Birds dropped colorful flowers around them making the scene very romantic.

Kiara and Tiifu both cry as they watch their children. Kovu couldn't be anymore proud of his son. The whole Pride roared as the animals bow with acceptance.

Makosa met his reddish brown eyes with Bahiya's hazel ones. "Finally, I can call you wife."

Her eyes tear up. She hugged him and smiled wide.

Maha walks up and hugs them both. "Congrats you two! Welcome to the family
Bahiya."

"Thank you Maha!"

After being congratulated by many lions and animals one by one, the young wedded couple went off to start their honeymoon and will be back
in a few days.

"They grow up so fast!" Kiara cries.

Kovu hugs her and nodded. "I know honey. Our boy isn't little anymore..."

"You two have done an excellent job raising him!" Amwa compliments. "Kiara, your father would be so proud of you."

"Thank you Amwa!"

After the ceremony, the animals went home and the lions went inside the cave. Kovu went on patrol with Kion while Kiara talked with Tiifu.

Amwa otherwise had other plans. She went back to her tree house and found an unexpected visitor laying down. It was a lion. A lion that she knows.

Prince Heri...

"Oh, hello Heri! How long have you been here?" She asks, surprisingly.

He stands up with a stretch and shakes out his dark mane. "All morning. It's okay, I'm pretty sure you had other busy tasks."

"I did. I was at your birth Pride. Your parents had a ceremony for your brother and his now wife. They got married!"

"Oh...so that's what those vultures were talking about? Then I heard loud singing from a few other animals. They mentioned Prince and marriage."

"Yeah. I told you, you should have came Heri. No one wouldn't of noticed you there." Said Amwa, while climbing up her tree.

"Me there? I don't think that would have been such a good idea Amwa. You must have forgotten that I attacked the King who I at first had no clue that he was even my father. I could've been exposed by an animal or lion there."

"Well someday your going to have to be brave and show up. You need to be with your real family Heri. You cannot escape your true destiny and where you belong. It's going to be alright."

"I thought you said you was going to help me?"

She nodded and sat down on a branch. "I will, once you've found yourself some courage and bravery. You let me know when you're ready."

With that, she left climbing up higher in her tree behind a bunch of leaves. Heri sighs and plop himself down on the ground, laying on his stomach.

"How am I going to do this?" He asks himself.

A shining bright light glows down on Heri's light peach fur.

"Heri..." said a deep voice.

Heri twitched his ears. "Huh?"

He sits halfway up looking at the sky. Clouds form together and the light shines even brighter. A lion's head appears and he has a big red mane.

Heri recognizes the face and his emerald eyes had grew wide. "G-Grandpa?"

"Yes, hello grandson. Wow, you look much like your father. I heard you need guidance..." the ghost head smiles. It is Simba. The old king, Makosa and Heri's grandfather.

"Yes. Can you help me?" Heri asks, excitedly.

"Depends on what it is exactly..."

"Okay. It's going to be a long story just to warn you."

Simba chuckles, "Don't worry, I have all the time."
