It was a beautiful day. Me and my mom were out taking a nice stroll. Then, I heard a hyena laugh. "Janja." I said. "What now?" Another hyena asked. "Easy. We finish off our gazelle." Janja said. "Hey!" I said.  Janja looked startled. "If Kion says stay in the Outlands then stay there!" I said as I jumped off a rock. 

"No." Janja said. His hyenas surrounded me. "You're greatly outnumbered Lilly." Janja said. Kion then ran up the rock I was just on. "Lilly! No! Stay away from my sister!" Kion yelled as he roared. Janja and his clan flew out of the Pridelands and into the Outlands. 

I nuzzled Kion. "Are you ok?" He asked me. "Thanks to you." I said as I smiled. My mom came running over. "What happened?" She asked us. "Well, Lilly was surrounded by hyenas and Kion saved her." Fuli said. Nala hugged me. I looked over and saw Kion's roar coming back towards us. 

"Kion. Your roar is coming back towards us!" I yelled. "Run!" Beshti said. We all started running. The ground under Nala started giving way until it broke and she fell in. I slipped but managed to grab a hold of a rock. "Lilly! I'm going to go get Dad!" Kion said. "Hurry up! I'm slipping!" I yelled back.

A few minutes later, Kion was back with Simba. Simba helped me back up but I had a broken arm. He nuzzled me and walked me back to pride rock. Kion looked back down into the abyss that was just created. A few days later....

I was sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. Kion walked up the stairs. "Hey little bro. What's up?" I asked as I threw a rock. "Lilly. This is all my fault. I used the roar and now you have a broken arm and mom is gone." He said as he cried. "I don't think I should ever use the roar again." He said

"Kion. The roar is a part of you. You can't stop using it. It's what makes you the leader of the Lion Guard." I told him. "But I don't want to hurt anyone." He said. "Kion. You have to trust the roar. It's very powerful but YOU are the only one that can control it." I told him. He started smiling.

"You're right! Thanks Lilly." He said. "Hey. Don't worry about mom. I'll find her." I said as I smiled. Kion smiled then ran down to go with the Guard. I rose up and flew down the stairs. I ran down to the abyss and flew in. "Ok. So Nala dropped way down. Maybe to the bottom?" I said to myself as I flew faster. 

I landed at the bottom. "Where is she?" I said to myself as I started pacing. Then, everything turned black.
