Kion, Fuli, Beshte and Ono rushed to the gazelles, to prevent the jackals from attacking them. Fuli and Ono were heading there with great speed, while Kion and Beshte were falling back, slowly. "Fuli, Ono, don't wait for us. Distract the jackals and get the antilopes away from there.", Kion yelled and Fuli and Ono speed up, to get there even faster. Kion and Beshte meanwhile tried to keep up their speed, but weren't really able to. Kions vision got blurry and he tripped once in a while. Beshte had similar problems, but not as big as Kions. He didn't trip, but he got slower, without noticing and he started to breath heavily. "Must go faster.", Kion mumbeld, before tripping again and crawling a little distance, until he was able to get up again. Beshte didn't notice, that Kion tripped and was ahead of him now. He seemed to wake up a little more and started to move faster. He turned to look at Kion and noticed now, that he was behind him. "Kion, get on my back. I can bring us there faster." Kion was to excausted, to resist that offer and climbed on Beshtes back. "But only, when you let me down, before we arrive." "You got it Kion.", Beshte replied and he started running faster now.

Fuli and Ono got to the antilope herd and caught the jackals by surprise, by attacking them out of nowhere. Fuli pounced on Reirei and pinned her to the ground. Ono made a dive attack on Goigoi, which caused Goigoi to run away in panic. After that, Ono flew to the antilopes, to tell them to run away. They did so, after they saw the jackals and were out of reach in a matter of seconds. "What are you doing here, Reirei?", Fuli asked, with her sharp teeth close to Reireis face. "An army needs food, doesn't it? So why don't we take the food from our enemy?", she replied with a grin and suddenly Fuli flew off Reireis body. Another jackal had pounced on her and tried to bite her throat. Fuli held his mouth away with her legs and pushed him to the side. He fell off of her and both got up, with Reirei joyning the fight. "Where is the rest of the guard? Did they think, that you two can handle this alone?", Reirei asked mockingly. "Yes they did! So it would be a good idea, if you get out of here, before you get hurt!", Fuli said, while clenching her teeth. "Oh I don't think so. I think it would be better to show them, that they were wrong.", Reirei replied and pounced on Fuli. Fuli reacted quick and jumped, to meet Reirei in the air, but Fuli jumped higher and landed on Reirei midflight. They both fell on the ground hard, but Fulis fall was absorved by Reirei, who still was underneath her. Fuli raised her paw and she struck full force on Reireis back, who whimpered in pain. Her back started to bleed and she was moving around, trying to shake Fuli off, but Fuli didn't budge and struck again. The other jackal jumped on Fuli, but she jumped in the air, which caused the jackal to land on Reirei. Now Fuli landed on this jackal, but he had fast reflexes and turned on his back. It made his stomach a vulnerable target, but he bit first and landed a hit in Fulis stomach.

Fuli screamed and got off him. The jackal got off Reirei and jumped Fuli, but now she turned on her back and kicked him away with her hind legs. (Basically the move Simba used in Lion King to push Scar over the edge.) Fuli attacked Reirei again. If she could force Reirei to retreat, the rest of Reireis pack would follow. Fuli was on top of Reirei again and clawed at Reireis face. Reirei moved her head, to avoid the attacks, but one hit her on her cheek. It started bleeding and she screamed. "HONEY.", Goigoi yelled and before Fuli could react, he pushed her off of Reirei. He clawed at her face and yelled: "Don't you dare touch my wife." She tried to fight him off with her front legs, but he grabbed one of her legs and bit hard. Now it was Fuli, who was screaming. With her leg still in his mouth, he clawed her stomach with his paws. She searched for Ono, but the moment she spotted him, he was knocked out by another jackal. Things weren't looking good for them. Fuli had almost no power left and stopped defending herself. Her instincts told her not to give up, but the adrenalin rush, that had washed over her in the beginning of the battle, was gone now and the wounds did the rest. They were not much of them, but they were here and hurt like hell. She's never been wounded that seriously before and she definately wasn't used to it.

Goigoi stopped attacking the stomach and was now about to attack Fulis throat with his teeth, but before that, he said: "This is for Honey." "-bagder!", suddenly a voice yelled and Goigoi lifted his head confused. "Zuka Zama!", the voice yelled again and suddenly a hairball jumped on top of Goigoi and Goigoi took off running again in panic, running into a tree in the process and knocking himself out. Fuli stood up again, which was not easy, because of her wounds, but she managed. Reirei was confused, what attacked her husband and just stood there, not exactly knowing what to do. Then the hairball on top of Goigoi jumped off and ran at Reirei. "Oh no, the honeybadger!", she yelled in panic, but before she could react Bunga jumped on her head and started pulling her ears. "Bunga, what took you so long?", Fuli asked frustrated, but also glad, because he saved her. "I just waited for an opportunity for a dramatic entrance.", Bunga replied, as he ducked, when a jackals tried to push him off Reirei. "Of course.", Fuli said sarcastically and rolled her eyes at the honeybadger. Reirei turned on her back and Bunga had to get off.  She and another jackal tried to pounce on him, but he evaded them and they just crashed into each other.

"Reirei, get out of the Pridelands, right now!", Kion yelled. He and Beshte finally had arrived. "Fine, fine, we leave. Just tell your friend to let us go.", Reirei yelled, while she ran away from Bunga, who chased after her. "Bunga, let them go.", Kion said grinning and Bunga stopped. Reirei and her pack ran away. Fuli limped to the rest and Ono woke up. "Are you guys alright?", Kion asked. "Couldn't be better.", Bunga answered immediately. "My feathers are a little messed up, but I'm fine." "I'm not so sure about me.", Fuli answered carefully and the others gasped. "We need to get you to Rafiki!", Kion said and Beshte sat down, so Fuli could climb on him.

At the volcano:

"The plan of yours seems to be working, Scar.", Reirei said, after she arrived at the volcano. "At least a few of them seem to be tired. Kion and Beshte only arrived at the end of the battle and the honeybadger also showed up after the battle has been going for a while." "These are very good news, Reirei. If we continue our attacks like this for a while, they will fall asleep during our attacks.", Scar said smiling. "You and your pack are dismissed for the next two days. Maybe longer. It depends, if we get the reinforcements, as Ushari promised me." "Thank you, Scar.", Reirei said and left the volcano.

As she left, Janja entered and went to Scar. "Janja, what news do you bring to me?", Scar asked. "Our ehrm... guest, woke up. She tried to flee, but she was to exhausted, to do it. My entire clan guards her. I promise, she won't be able to escape.", Janja said. "I'm wondering anyway, why she was in the bad state she was, when we found her.", Scar wondered. "I tried to ask her about it, but she refused to talk.", Janja answered. "That is understandable. You two don't have the greatest relationship. Just try to get her to talk and when she isn't to exhausted anymore, bring her to me. I wanna talk to her." "You got it Boss.", Janja said, then he seemed to become a little nervous.

"There is something more you should know.", he said after some hesitation. "And what is that?", Scar asked. "Your visiters have arrived and are waiting outside." Scar seemed a little surprised, then he smiled and said: "Get them and let them come in, but stay outside. Guard our guest, I don't want her escaping." "Alright Scar. I'll get them.", Janja said and went outside. A short time after, four animals entered the volcano. The three younger ones seemed pretty nervous, about going in a volcano. The oldest one didn't show any fear and walked forward. It was four lions. When they saw Scar, they all froze on the spot. "Hello Zira.", Scar said smiling.

Second chapter is out. It will propably take a while, till the next one comes. Maybe one or two weeks. Maybe longer. We shall see.

How did you like that chapter? I really enjoyed writing it. It was the first time, I wrote a fight scene in English and also the first one with animals, which also isn't very easy. I think you noticed, that Goigoi was very pissed off and angry, when he attacked Fuli. The characters, that are stupid, will mostly stay stupid, but I also want them to be dangerous. I just want to make it more thrilling. They will keep their funny and stupid sides, but I will also introduce them as dangerous threats, to make it more interesting.
