Since school was still being repaired, Cal and the others couldn't attend school. Everyone eventually went back to their homes, finally being free from the fear of Ren or Eric hurting them. Cal was training more with Mr. Myers and most the members of Bravo Company were watching him, except for Alice. Cal was training himself to summon lightning by will. Cal then easily summoned lightning blades from his hands.

Bella: "That's a cool power!" She says with bright smile behind her mask.

Oliver: "It is quite impressive."

Emily: "Agreed."

Mr. Myers: "There is only one final test Cal. You have passed all the spiritual and Elemental tests. Do you think you're ready?"

Cal nods with a smile.

Mr. Myers: "Very well...your last test..."

The members of Bravo Company surround Cal.

Mr. Myers: "Is to chase me while your company protects me."

Emily: "It's like capture the leader."

Cal: "Heh heh, ok then."

They all stand still as the wind blows, prepared to make the move. Bella throws a smoke bomb at Cal, disorienting him. When the smoke lifts, Mr. Myers was gone.

Cal: 'She threw a smoke bomb in order for Mr. Myers to escape while I was blinded. Smart thinking...' He thought to himself.

He heard rustling in a certain direction.

Cal: 'Good thing I can hear this well, since I'm a werewolf. Speaking of which, I'll have to look for my brother for answers...'

Cal ran to the direction of rustling using his speed. He found them jumping from branch to branch away from Cal. Bella turned around and spotted Cal.

Bella: "He's found us!"

Oliver: "Shoot...I'll try to slow him down!"

Oliver stopped, pulled out his shield and shoulder charged Cal, knocking him back.

Cal: "So you first huh?"

Oliver: "Yeah. Hey Cal?"

Cal: "Yeah?"

Oliver: "...when Quill died, what did he say to you?"

Cal thought back to what Quill said.

FLASHBACK...

Quill: "Protect everyone as much as you can...and tell Alice...I love...her."

PRESENT TIME...

Oliver closed his eye and nodded.

Cal: "I made a promise to him...that I'll do my best to protect everyone...therefore I won't let him down."

Oliver opened his eye and smiled a bit.

Oliver: "Good...now..."

Oliver raised his shield.

Oliver: "Back on task..."

Cal nods and then jumps from branch to branch all around Oliver. Everyone time Cal was behind Oliver, he'd hit him from the back and finished with a flying kick against the shield, using the shield to hit Oliver's head, disorienting him. Cal ran away and continued the pursuit.

AT THE PARK...

Andrew was sitting on a bench at the park alone. His ears and tail was still there, and he was still uncomfortable with his condition. Sky saw him sitting by himself and walked towards him.

Sky: "Hey there."

Andrew: "Oh, hey Sky."

Sky: "Are you ok?"

Andrew sighs.

Andrew: "Honestly I don't know. I mean, now I'm a werewolf...I don't know what to do."

Sky: "How did Ren turn you into a werewolf?"

Andrew: "I...I remember being taken from the cafeteria when that food fight happened. They drugged me and...I think I remember a sharp pain in my arm...maybe a needle? I don't know..."

Sky places a hand on Andrew's shoulder.

Sky: "Were you the only one to be transformed?"

Andrew: "I think so...I think I was the first test of transforming into a werewolf. But there's something I don't understand...why me?"

Sky: "I don't know, but I do know that you're the same Andrew as always, as a human and as a werewolf."

Andrew smiles a bit.

Andrew: "Thanks Sky."

Sky sits next to Andrew. They both sit in silence for awhile just looking at the park.

AT THE TRAINING FIELD...

Cal just beat Oliver and outran Bella and chased after Mr. Myers and Cal tackled him to the ground.

Cal: "Looks like I've caught you." Cal says as he smiles.

Mr. Myers smiles and they both get up.

Mr. Myers: "Well done. You've managed to catch me even with the others tried to stop you."

Everyone else caught up with them and praised Cal.

Bella: "You did great Cal!"

Emily: "I'm surprised you managed to get around me."

Zach: "You were amazing!"

Oliver: "You're pretty good."

Cal smiled in embarrassment and rubbed his neck. Mr. Myers smiles as he closed his eyes and looked down.

Mr. Myers: 'He's just like you...right Commander? Your boy...is going to be a amazing Templar...no, he's going to be an amazing hero!'

Behind a tree, Kaleb was watching Cal throughout the test.

Kaleb: "Cal's getting bigger. Heh, I miss the smaller him. I'm gonna have to tell him about the secret power our family has...if he doesn't already know."

Inner Darkness: "Are you sure that is wise..?"

Kaleb: "Don't know...but he's my brother."

Kaleb then walked away into the dense forest. A little bit later on, Cal was putting away his armor and getting ready to head home. Before he left, he went to Quill's grave, where he found Alice standing there.

Cal: "Hey."

She turned to look at Cal. Her eyes looked tired.

Alice: "Hey..."

Cal: "You've been here all day?"

Alice: "Yeah...it's just, I'm still trying to find peace from Quill's death..."

Cal: "Yeah...I know." He says as he stands beside her, both of them looking at his gravestone.

Alice: "I wonder...what his last thoughts were before he died..."

Cal: "...well I do know."

Alice looked at Cal.

Cal: "His thoughts were about the friends here in Bravo Company...he thought about you the most."

Alice looked down as if she was about to cry.

Cal: "He made me promise something to him..."

Alice: "A promise..?"

Cal: "He told me to protect everyone in Bravo Company the best I could...so, I'm gonna make sure, that I'll protect those he cared about...especially you Alice." He says with a smile.

Alice eyes widen as he looked at Cal...which reminded her that Quill once had that same smile Cal has. She smiled a bit as she was tearing up.

Alice: "I'm...glad you told me Cal."

Cal: "No problem...will you be ok on your own?"

Alice: "Yeah, I'm gonna head home now. See ya later Cal."

Cal: "Bye Alice."

They both go their separate ways and Cal heads home. As he was leaving the forest, Kaleb was on a tree branch watching him.

Kaleb: 'Guess this is my chance to speak to him.'

Kaleb jumps down and follows Cal.

SOMEWHERE IN THE CITY...

Katelynn was walking home with her parents as they all went shopping together.

Katelynn: "I'm so glad I'm back I'm back with guys, I have a lot to tell you!" She says excitedly.

Katelynn's Mom: "We know, we know, you've been telling us a lot lately."

Katelynn's Dad: "Especially about this...Cal friend of yours." He said with a smirk.

Katelynn: "H-He's just a friend dad!" She blushes.

Katelynn's Mom: "So when will we get to meet him?"

Katelynn: "I-I don't know, why would you want to meet him."

Katelynn's Mom: "Because I wanna know if he's a nice as you say..."

She suddenly forms a scary innocent smile with her fist up.

Katelynn's Mom: "Because if he's just a no-good-back-stabbing young man...I'm gonna show him real scary..."

Both Katelynn and Katelynn's Dad hug each other and gulp. Katelynn's mother just laughs. They make it to their house and drop off their stuff.

Katelynn: "Oh yeah, I remember something that was strange one time when I saved Cal..."

Katelynn's Dad: "Oh yeah? What's that?"

Katelynn: "Cal was fighting with someone else and when he was hurt...I extend my arms and a bright beam of light came out my hands..."

She looked at her parents reaction...and their eyes were widened.

Katelynn's mom: "Do...you remember anything else?"

Katelynn: "Um, no...why?"

Katelynn's Dad: "...It's time."

Katelynn: "W-What's wrong?" She asked worriedly.

Katelynn's Mom: "Come...with us dear...we have something to tell you."

SOMEWHERE IN THE RURAL AREA OF THE CITY...

Cal was almost home as he was walking. Then he looked ahead of him to find Kaleb standing in front of him.

Cal: "Kaleb?"

Kaleb: "Hey...we need to talk."

Cal: "...first off, why?"

Kaleb: "Why what?"

Cal: "Why did you want to kill Ren?"

Kaleb sighs.

Kaleb: "Look, I don't expect you to understand. Bad people deserve exactly what's coming to them. That's not why I'm here to talk to you about, I'm here to talk about our power."

Cal: "You mean...our wolf form?"

Kaleb nods and he activated his wolf form without evening trying.

Kaleb: "Just like this."

Cal: "Woah...that's so cool!" Cal says with a smile.

Kaleb smiles a bit.

Kaleb: "Yeah it is cool, being in this form has its perks. But, I'm not always in this form."

Cal: "Why's that?"

Kaleb: "I just haven't found a strong opponent."

Cal: "Well, how about you teach me how to transform into a werewolf, and I'll give you a real fight."

Kaleb smiles more.

Kaleb: "That was the plan. How about it Cal? Want to become my student?"

Cal: "Yeah! I need to get stronger in order to protect my friends and to keep my promise."

Kaleb: "A promise?"

Cal nods with a determined smile.

Kaleb: 'Heh...I always did love that smile of his.' Kaleb thought to himself.

Kaleb: "Alright, we'll practice after you graduate."

Cal: "Wait What?! Why not now?!"

Kaleb: "Because it's a drag to do it when you're still in school. Anyway it's late, later."

Kaleb then jumps up to roof to roof and away. Cal sighs and he walks home. He changes into his sleeping clothes and lands on his bed. The pups were on the other bed sleeping.

Cal: "Heh, those two are just so cute."

Soon, he heard a small tap on his window. He opens it to see Katelynn down below.

Cal: "Katelynn?"

Katelynn: "Hey...is it ok...if I stayed with you..?"

Cal: "Yeah sure, is something wrong?"

Katelynn: "I...I just need a place to stay...I felt more safe if I was with you..."

Cal looked at Katelynn with concern. He extended a hand.

Cal: "Come on up."

She jumped up and grabbed his hand and entered inside. When he got a closer look at her, he saw tears streaming on her face.

Cal: "Katelynn..."

Katelynn: "I know you want to know...but...can we just go to sleep...please?"

Cal couldn't understand why she was so sad, but he thought if he could help her out, she'd open up to him soon.

Cal: "...Ok, sleep with me."

Katelynn looked at Cal for a bit and nodded. They both went in bed and Cal slowly wrapped his arms around Katelynn to comfort her. She hugged back.

Katelynn: 'Thank you...Cal.'

They both slept as no words were exchanged during the night.
