There he was...all alone...in an empty void drifting away into the darkness. He was getting sleepy...he tried to speak but nothing came out. He tried to move, but couldn't feel a thing. A voice called to him saying, "Your time is not done...you still have much to do...much to protect. It's time...for you to get up...so please, wake up." Everything started getting brighter until all that was left was light. The voice suddenly got louder. It was time to wake up...

Cal's mother: "It's time to wake up!" Cal's mother said as she shook him.

Cal groans as he was being forced to wake up. He begins rubbing his eyes and then yawns.

Cal: "You don't have to do that all the time mom."

Cal's mother: "I wouldn't have to if you didn't sleep so late. Today's your first day in High school!" She says delightfully.

Cal sighs before chuckling.

Cal: "Thunderstorm High school...a school like no other.' That's the ad says, hopefully it's true." Cal gets up from bed.

Cal's mother: "Your breakfast is ready downstairs, so hurry up! We don't have much time!" She says with a smile.

Cal: "Thanks mom."

Cal goes to the bathroom to brush his teeth, comb his hair, and change into his school uniform. He receives a text message from his phone which was in a group chat.

Jay: 'We'll all meet at the front entrance alright?'

Andrew: 'Yeah sure.'

Cal: 'Sure thing! You guys ready?!'

Andrew: 'I'm meh about it, but you seem excited lol.'

Cal: 'Yeah you could say that.'

Jay: 'Alright, See you then.'

Cal puts his phone away and goes downstairs to grab his breakfast and go running towards the door.

Cal: "Bye mom!" He says before he leaves.

Cal goes running towards his school with inhuman speed. He passes by some surprised bystanders and makes it to the entrance of the school without breaking a sweat.

Cal: "Well, here's the next step in life...hopefully I can-oh!" He says before getting pushed aside by some jerks.

Guy 1: Watch it. He said as he passes by.

Cal made an unamused face and remains his composure. He decides to wait for the others.

Cal: "They sure like to take their time." He says as he sighs.

A female scream could be heard nearby and Cal goes to investigate. Three school girls start kicking down a guy in the same school uniform and shout pervert at him before leaving to the entrance. Cal walks over to see who it was...and wasn't surprised.

Cal: "Hello brother..." He says in a tired voice.

The guy opens one eye and smiles brightly.

(Pretend he's smiling with one eye)

Kaleb: "Hey Hey Cal! Nice to see ya! What are you doing here?"

Cal: "I going to the school, remember?" Cal sighs

Kaleb gets up and dusts himself off.

Kaleb: "Ah right, you're going to my school heh heh."

Cal: "Why does it have to be yours? From where I stand, you're still the same as ever."

Kaleb: "In due time, heh heh...anyway what do you need?"

Cal: "I just came to see what was all the commotion...but it led me to you."

Kaleb: "What can I say, I'm a laddies man."

Cal: "Whatever, See you around Big brother." Cal says as he leaves.

Kaleb: "Let me know if you ever need a girlfriend!" He shouts.

Cal: "You're the last person to tell me that!" Cal turns around and points at him with an angry face. Cal sighs, chuckles, then leaves.

Just when Cal was coming around the corner, he accidentally bumped into a girl, which she fell.

Cal: "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." Cal extends a hand.

The girl was a Neko with a black tail and black ears with white tips. She had black hair and aqua eyes. She blushed as she slowly took his hand. She was silent.

Cal: "You ok?"

She nods.

Cal: "Can you speak?"

She grabs a notebook out and writes on it, 'I can't.'

Cal: "Oh, so you're mute?"

She nods.

Cal: "Ok, my name is Cal. Your name?"

She writes in her notebook, 'I'm Helena.'

Cal: Smiles And says, "That's a nice name. So you new to this school?"

She nods.

Cal: "Me too! Me and...those two behind you." Cal says as he points behind her. She looks behind to see Cal's cousins: Andrew and Jay.

Andrew: "We're here." He says annoyed

Cal: "What took you so long?" Cal asked as he pay his hands on his waist.

Jay: "I might've gotten us in different places and sorta lost." He says as he rubs his neck nervously with a smile

(Pretend He has black hair)

Andrew: "Gee, ya think?!" He looks at him.

Jay: "At least we're here!" He yells back.

Cal chuckles and Jay looks at Helena and blushes a bit, so does Helena.

Cal: "Helena these are my cousins, Andrew and Jay. Guys this is Helena, she's mute. They are not siblings but we all sure act like it heh heh."

Jay quickly lifts his hand towards her while blushing.

Jay: "It's nice to meet you Helena!"

Helena blushes and shakes his hand as well with a small smile. She grabs her notebook and writes, 'Nice to meet you Jay.'

Andrew: "I'm just head inside, might as well get used to the place."

Cal: "Good idea, wanna come with us Helena?"

She nods and they all walk inside. They head to the auditorium where the new students will be held at. There was many people of many different variations. Werewolves, Humans, Nekos, Wizards, and cyborgs. They sit near the front.

Jay: "Wow, I wasn't expecting this!"

Andrew: "Me neither, I didn't expect to see so many different people."

Helena nods in agreement.

Cal: "I think their about to speak to us."

The staff sit up stage and the assistant principal tells everyone to be quiet as the principal will be speaking.

Principal Richards: "Hello new students, I am Principal Richards. Today will be a day where all of you will be warmly welcomed in our school. You learn many things about each races history and use your knowledge to benefit yourself and others around. But beware, danger does lie around in the outside world. Monsters still lurk in the shadows, and you must be prepared. But don't let that trouble you, live life to its fullest and have a positive attitude. I see before me students with lots of potential. Keep moving forward and with your head held high. Thank for your time and have a good day in your first day in Thunderstorm High School!"

The audience claps and leaves the auditorium.

Cal: "Classes will start soon."

Andrew: "Yep."

Jay: "Yeah, why don't we meet someplace for lunch?"

Cal: "That's sounds like a good idea, what do you say Helena?"

Helena nods with a small smile.

Cal: "Alright, we'll meet again at the front entrance and find someplace together." Cal says with a warm smile.

They all nod and part ways. Cal goes to his first class: Geography. Then Second class: Math with Helena. Then Third class with Jay and Andrew: Reading. Then fourth class: History (Which was Cal's favorite subject). Then it was time for lunch. He waited for the others at the front.

Cal: "Either I'm fast enough to get here, or they're really slow." Cal said as he smiled a little.

There was a commotion happening nearby when there was a small yell for help. Cal heard it and ran towards it to investigate. He found a lonely female werewolf being harassed by three male werewolves.

Cal: "Hey!" He shouted to catch their attention.

They look at him with disgust.

Male werewolf 1: "It's a human."

Male werewolf 2: "Bah, what a nuisance." He snarled.

Male werewolf 3: "Get rid of it." He ordered the two.

They slowly approach him.

Cal: "Leave that girl alone." Cal said calmly.

Male: "You don't get to tell us what to do, you human!" It yelled as it tried to attack Cal.

Cal dodged it just in time to perform a counterattack, by grabbing his face and slamming him against the wall then punched him. The other werewolf scratched Cal in the arm, but Cal uppercut him in the air, jumped up, and kicked him down, leaving a small crater on impact. Cal landed.

Cal: "I didn't want to do that." Cal says as he sighs. "It's just you now."

The last werewolf looked a bit surprised but kept his composure. He lunges at Cal.

Male werewolf 3: "Don't think I'll go down so easil-"
He says before Cal slides underneath him and picks up the female werewolf. She blushes as she looks up.

Cal: "Look Pal, it's lunch period and I'm hungry. So I'll be taking her with me so I can get this over with. See ya." He says before running away at inhuman speed.

The werewolf then yells in anger.

When far enough. The female werewolf says,

???: "W-Why are you helping me?" She asks while blushing.

Cal looks at her with a smile.

Cal: "I just can't help it when someone needs help. I'm just a guy trying to do the right thing."

She blushes more as he said that and looks away. Cal let's her go.

Cal: "If you don't mind, why were they harassing you?"

She was silent for awhile before speaking.

???: "Because...I'm not a...full blooded werewolf. I'm...a hybrid."

Cal: "A hybrid?" Cal said with an eyebrow raised.

She nods.

Cal: "Well, even so, I think you're a really cool person." He says with a smile

She looked at him for awhile before smiling back a little with her eyes closed.

???: "What's your name?" She asked in a gentle tone.

Cal: "I'm Cal. What's your name?"

She opened her eyes.

Katelynn: "I'm Katelynn, but you can call me Kat."

Cal: "I'll stick to Katelynn, heh heh." Cal smiles
