At the ceremony, Thor came down the line of cheering Asgardians.

I stood with Frigga and Loki next to Odin, my heart pounding in my chest. I was wearing a gown, but with slits at the knees and with armor over my abdomen and chest, along with gauntlets on both my arms. I had refused to wear some fancy gown, but had been required to wear a dress to support my betrothed. Dygö was at my side, strapped on the waste of the soft gold gown I wore with lace instead of sleeves. I couldn't wear boots so moccasins covered my feet, because I wouldn't wear heels and had to compromise. Loki kept glancing my way, he knew what I was thinking. I knew Frigga did too. Odin had put more guards on duty, but would they be able to hold back the Frost Giants? Thor kneels before Odin, removing his helmet and setting down his helmet.

Odin starts saying something, but it's all blurred, my ears are only listening for one thing, the alarm. Relief washes over me, maybe they were gone after all. Just as Odin picks up the crown, my worst fear came true: the alarm blasts. "Lyra don-" Loki starts, I ignore him, I phased to the treasure room immediately, drawing Dygö from its scabbard with skilled efficiency. I appear in the doorway, staring at three blue, icy figures I knew would be there, I recognized them from when I had arrested them. When I see the guards I had personally assigned strewn dead on the floor, guilt struck me hard in the chest as I gaze upon their unseeing faces, and the last one stood wielding a sword. My heart picked up and everything slowed down.

No! I scream in my head. I take a running start and leap through the air, raising to drive my sword through the Giant that stood closest to the guard, but by the time my sword hits home the guard had ice enveloping his body. He led out a terrified scream and his sword stood poised, his body stiff with ice. I yell for the Frost Giant, but it was too late, the last guard stood frozen, and very, very dead.

A screen behind he treasure room dissolves, and the Destroyer emerged from behind the Casket and blasted the Frost Giants into nothing. I run forward, sliding onto my knees and examine his blue lips and pale complexion.I grab the soldier who had just died, my soldier. I'm his admiral, I should've stopped this. While stupidly staring at him I thought, maybe I could heal him, what was my limit? I ran my fingers over his face, hissing at the ice so cold is burned me. I hear Odin enter behind me, along with Loki and Thor and multiple guards. I hold my hands on the guard's temples, closing my eyes. His cold skin burns in my hands, but I grit my teeth, refusing to let go. "Lyra!" It was Thor's voice, I peak my eyes open to see the ice had dissolved, and my hands we're glowing a soft gold, healing him was different than anything I've ever healed.

Like taking a piece of machinery that had fallen from the structure and putting it back in it's needed place. I fought the fatigue that dropped my eyelids in a matter of seconds, fought the painful cry as agony ripples through my chest and weighed down on my ribs. I kept going, even as the pain became almost unbearable, and then finally the guy's eyes flutter open.

He shoots up, gasping for air. His skin was still cold to the touch, but at least he's alive. Breathing, I remind myself.

I felt my energy deplete and as I try to stand I went tumbling into Thor. "Lyra, are you alright?" Thor asks. "Bring me to the others. " I demand, barely having the energy to say it. Thor obliged, bringing me to one of the other dead frozen guards. Guards that accompanied Odin rushed to the side of the man I revived.

I place my hands on each side of the next one's head, the ice began to dissipate much slower than the last time, this time I couldn't stop my whimper of pain as I healed him, my hands almost burning alive as they hummed and pulsed with golden power. I thought I might faint, might scream, might throw up-

but his eyes flutter open. "Lyra-" I attempt to stand by go straight back down. Loki was the one to catch me this time. "Two m-more." I mumble. I feel myself losing in my battle of consciousness. No! I felt a surge flow through my veins, and indescribable agony that tore apart my chest so violently the scream rippled through me before I could stop it,"Lyra-" Loki starts, but I never get to hear the rest of what he was saying, because I went limp in his arms and I fell into the abyss.

I blinked a few times before sitting up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes and allowing my vision to adjust. I felt soft sheets around me, sheets that weren't mine, I was in someone's bed. I look around and see Thor and Loki standing across the room, they were arguing about something. "-would Odin choose her? There are other gods here he can choose from!" Loki's voice. "Brother if I knew I would surely tell you!" "Uhh, good morning to you too?" I murmur, sitting up in the bed, pain tore through my head and I groan, pressing the back of my hand to my forehead. . "Oh thank Freyja you're awake." Loki says. I squinted at him.

"How long was I out?" I yawn, stretching my arms. "A few hours." Thor replies. My armour had been taken off, leaving me in the gown I had wore at Thor's coronation. "Where am I?""My bedroom." Thor replies. I stare at them for a second. "Wait, the guards!" I exclaim, realizing why I had passed out. "Lyra wait-" Thor starts, I pushed past him and head for the door, Loki grabs my waist and pulls me back, pulling my against him.

"No! What if I can save them?" I say, squirming in Loki's arms. "Lyra, you need to rest." Loki purrs in my ear. Why couldn't I teleport? I notice how Loki's hands glow green. I jerk hard from his grip, finally getting free. I stare hard at Loki. "You have no energy left, the healers said if you try again the consequences might me more severe." Thor says.

"I don't care! These are my men's lives Thor!" I demand. "Lyra!" Loki says, picking up his voice and surprising me and Thor. "They're alive! As soon as you passed out they woke up. You healed them." He finishes. "Now please stop doing this to yourself, you need to rest, love." Loki says, calming down.

I sigh with in relief, plopping on the bed. "But, the thing is, there's no way they could've survived it. Lyra, you brought them back to life."

"Yeah, welcome to to five minutes ago." I say, rolling my eyes. "Just rest up, Lyra. We have a big day tomorrow." Thor says, making me confused.

"What?"

"So we're really going to do this?" Loki asks, we stood before the Bi frost, we were going to see Laufey. Obviously, it wasn't my idea. "Of course! We must show that they shall not treat Asgard with disrespect!" Thor erupts. Loki and I nervously exchange glances. "So we're going through with treason, against your fathers wishes, leaving Asgard without consent of the Allfather, and committing a crime possibly punishable by death?" I inquire, turning to Thor. He casts me a side long glance with a wicked grin on his face that seemed somewhat threatening. "Just making sure we're on the same page." I mumble, holding up my hands defensively. The gatekeeper activates the Bifrost, and we get sucked in. My stomach churns and I feel weightless, my headache still pounding my head but I ignore it's throbbing, and before long we appear in Jotunheim.

The frost nips at my ears and fingers, my armour not protecting me from the cold. Loki reaches over and grips my hand. "Stay behind me." Loki says in my mind. I outwardly smirk. "And let you have all the fun?"

We walk through the empty land. "The cowards are hiding!" Thor barks. I almost believe Thor as we walk through the ruins of Jodenheim. Our feet create barely a noise in the thin, cold air. We approach the throne of Laufey, for some reason it sits on a mound of ruin. I almost pity the king of this land, left in ruins from Asgard's conquering. I almost didn't expect him to be there but sure enough, the God of War sits proudly on his throne. "You should not have come." Laufey bellows, his voice scratchy and echoing Farley well in the heavy, frost filled air. "How did your people get into Asgard!" Thor spats, not acknowledging Laufey's threat.

I stop listening to them, my attention is the Frost Giants standing on the towering cliffs, pushing each other to get a look at us. I start to realize this may disturb the peace between the two realms. Huh, who would've known. "They don't seem to be in a gaming mood." I murmur. "Run home, princess," Laufey murmurs, Thor turns around, I thought he might actually oblige, but he just gives me a bloodletting grin, turns, and sends his hammer right into Laufey. I heard Sif's cry of protest but it was far too late for that, Laufey bellows out his command for his people to attack, and I mentally curse Thor. This was supposed to be a meeting with peace terms. The Frost Giants come hurling from the cliffs, raining down on us, and I unsheathe Dygö and prepare for what I knew best: battle.

Loki attempts to stick around me, but the sea of monsters draws him father away. These Frost Giants really don't stand a chance against any of us, we are all gods after all, but I was also trying to watch Thor at the same time, after all this was supposed to be a peace offering. Look around. I drive my sword into Giant after Giant, they all go down quickly, no sweat. I try to go for wounding blows but some turn fatal, I send them a silent prayer for mercy on their souls in the afterlife, and continue on. Everything is going in our favor, Giants start retreating, and I begin to start to feel triumphant.

But, of course, the ground had to start crumbling.
