It has been six days since Lucille's near-death experience, and it is now New Year's Eve. Lucille's family, Raphael, Natalie, and Adrien Bernard, safely arrived back in the afternoon at Palais Garnier from their relatives' place to participate in the Opera House's annual New Year's Eve Masquerade ball. 

Madame Giry has also returned five days earlier, and she informs Erik that her older sister, Miranda, would give Meg the punishment that the young female would deserve. And Lucille reassures Madame Giry that she is not going to tattletale on the older female since she does not want her parents to take her away from Erik. 

" Papa! Mama Natalie! Adrien!" Lucille happily calls out to her parents as they got out of the carriage. 

" Lucille," Natalie warmly smiled when she sees Lucille running up to her while Madame Giry stood in front of Palais Garnier. 

" I miss you," Lucille happily tells Natalie and Adrien as she hugs them close. 

" We miss you too," Natalie affectionately kissed Lucille's forehead while Adrien clapped his hands, and he giggles at the attention he is getting from his older sister. 

" And what about Papa?" Raphael calls out to Lucille as he held the blonde-haired female's Christmas presents that were given to him from Natalie's relatives to give to the younger female. 

" I miss you too, Papa!" Lucille brightly smiles as she runs up to Raphael, and she tiptoes as she affectionately kissed the blonde-haired male's cheek. 

Raphael fondly chuckles, feeling happy to see his eldest child and only daughter. 

" What's that?" Lucille curiously asked when she sees the presents in Raphael's arms. 

" These gifts are for you from your Aunt Anna, Uncle Henry, and Cousin Raoul," Natalie informs Lucille. 

Lucille's eyes sparkle in excitement to receive more gifts for Christmas. 

" Can I open them?" Lucille curiously yet excitedly asked her parents. 

" Of course you can when we get to our room," Raphael warmly smiled at Lucille. 

" Yay!" Lucille cheers as she walks beside Raphael, and they get inside the Opera House with Natalie, Adrien, and Madame Giry following behind them. 

" I hope Lucille has not caused trouble while we were away," Natalie worriedly stared at Madame Giry while securely holding Adrien, who is playing with his new stuffed animal that his Aunt Anna gave to him as a Christmas gift. 

" Lucille has been an angel," Madame Giry warmly smiled at Natalie. " While you were away, my nephew came to visit me, and the two got along so well. My nephew taught Lucille how to play the piano," The older female explains to the black-haired female. 

" Aw! That is kind of your nephew to teach Lucille how to play the piano. Raphael has told me that Lucille's mother taught her some songs to play in the piano," Natalie explains to Madame Giry. " Is your nephew still in the Opera House? I would like to meet him," The black-haired female politely asked the older female. 

" My nephew went somewhere in the city to do some errands for me. But, he will be at the Masquerade Ball," Madame Giry calmly tells Natalie. 

Natalie politely nods her head. 

At the guest rooms, Lucille happily opened her Christmas presents. The blonde-haired female kindly smiled when she sees a beautiful dress that her Aunt Anna gave to her. 

" That dress is so beautiful," Madame Giry compliments the dress that Lucille is holding in front of her.

" You can wear that dress for the Masquerade Ball," Natalie warmly smiled at Lucille. 

" I do not know if I want my little girl going to the Masquerade Ball," Raphael worriedly tells the two adult females in the room. 

" Raphael. Lucille is ten, and she needs to start to experience these kinds of events," Natalie firmly tells her husband. " My first Masquerade Ball was when I was exactly her age," The black-haired female explains to the blonde-haired male. 

Raphael pouts, feeling scared that some strange boys will take advantage of his sweet, innocent little girl at the Masquerade Ball. 

" If you like, Madame Bernard. We have nannies that will watch over the younger children such as Adrien," Madame Giry turns to Adrien, who is cooing at his stuffed animal. 

" Thank you," Natalie smiled in relief since she wants to go to the Masquerade Ball, but at first, she was afraid that no one would watch over Adrien for her. 

" Mama Natalie! What exactly is a Masquerade Ball?" Lucille curiously asked Natalie. 

" A Masquerade Ball is an event in which many people attend in costume wearing a mask," Natalie explains to Lucille. 

Lucille excitedly stared at the adults in the room, thinking that Erik would be safe attending the Masquerade Ball because everyone would be wearing masks like him. 

" Can I go?" Lucille politely asked her parents as she stares at them with a hopeful gaze. 

" Of course you can go! When I heard that Palais Garnier would be hosting a Masquerade Ball. I have already brought you a mask that will go well with the dress that my sister gave to you," Natalie excitedly tells Lucille since it has been a dream of hers to dress up her daughter in a cute outfit for her first Masquerade Ball. 

Raphael fondly stared at his wife and daughter, feeling glad that they are excited about the Masquerade Ball even though he does not agree with Lucille going since he thinks that his daughter is too young to attend one. 

" I am going to meet up with Monsieur Mercier. I am going to tell him that I have already found the men that are going to help me built the Chandelier," Raphael affectionately kissed Natalie on the lips as he then gently pinched Adrien's cheeks, which caused the young male to smile. 

" I will see you guys later," Raphael picks up Lucille as he affectionately kissed the blonde-haired female's forehead, which made the young female smile. 

" Would you like me to escort you, Monsieur Bernard?" Madame Giry politely asked Raphael. 

" It is okay. I know where to go," Raphael reassures Madame Giry as he leaves the room. 

" Madame Giry," Natalie calls out to Madame Giry, which caused the older female to stare at her. 

" Can you watch over Adrien while I help Lucille get ready for the Masquerade Ball?" Natalie politely asked Madame Giry. 

" Of course," Madame Giry politely nods her head as she takes Adrien into her arms, who is cooing at her. 

" Lucille. I am going to make you a nice, warm bath," Natalie fondly smiled at Lucille as the two females enter the bathroom.

Thirty minutes later, Natalie finished helping Lucille take a bath as she carries her into the bedroom where the black-haired female is going to help the blonde-haired female get ready for the Masquerade Ball. 

Lucille comfortably sits on a chair with a towel wrapped around her body as Natalie begins to dry the blonde-haired female's wet hair by using another cloth. The young female closed her eyes, feeling relaxed as the black-haired female's fingernails gently scrub her head. 

Twenty minutes later, Lucille's hair gets dry, and Natalie begins to style the young female's blonde hair by putting hair rollers in her hair. 

" Mama Natalie! This thing hurts my head," Lucille whined a little as she adorably pouts. 

" I am sorry, Sweetheart. But these hair rollers are going to make your hair look soft and curly," Natalie reassures Lucille. 

Lucille politely nods her head. 

" Okay. I am going to help you put on your dress," Natalie softly tells Lucille as she stands up, and the black-haired female puts on the dress on the blonde-haired female. 

Madame Giry puts Adrien in his crib once he fell asleep, and the older female fondly smiled when she sees Lucille in her dress. 

" You look beautiful, my Dear," Madame Giry compliments Lucille. 

" Thank you!" Lucille brightly smiles at Madame Giry. 

" Do you think Erik will love my dress?" Lucille curiously asked Madame Giry. 

" Erik?" Natalie calls out as she ties the back of Lucille's dress for the blonde-haired female. 

" Erik is my nephew, Madame Bernard," Madame Giry calmly tells Natalie. 

" I see," Natalie giggles, finding Lucille adorable that the blonde-haired female is curious about Erik's thoughts on her dress. 

" Erik is going to love your dress, Lucille," Madame Giry warmly smiled at Lucille, which caused the blonde-haired female to stare at the older female in glee. 

" How do you feel, Lucille?" Natalie calmly asked Lucille after tying the blonde-haired female's dress. 

" I feel like a Princess," Lucille giggles as she twirls around the two older females barefooted. 

Natalie and Madame Giry fondly laughed as Lucille calms down so that the black-haired female can take off the hair rollers and put the blonde-haired female's mask, leggings, and flats on her. 

" You are now ready for your first Masquerade Ball," Natalie stands up as she and Madame Giry clapped when they see Lucille looking at herself in the mirror. 

Lucille's eyes sparkle in excitement when she sees herself in the mirror. The blonde-haired female can't help but think that she has transformed into a fairy tale Princess. 

" I shall get myself ready," Natalie turns to Madame Giry. " Can you watch over the children for me?" The black-haired female politely asked the older female. 

" Of course," Madame Giry politely nods her head as Natalie goes to take a shower. 

Lucille turns to Madame Giry. 

" Is Erik going to the Masquerade Ball?" Lucille softly asked Madame Giry. 

" Erik is, indeed, going. Once you come to the ballroom, he will be by my side," Madame Giry softly explains to Lucille. 

" Okay," Lucille nods her head in excitement since it is her first time going to a Masquerade Ball with Erik. 

Twenty minutes later, Natalie finished taking a shower, and Madame Giry excused herself since she needs to get ready for the Masquerade Ball. 

Lucille patiently waits for Natalie to get ready as she watched over Adrien, who is peacefully sleeping in his crib. 

Fifty minutes later, Natalie finished getting ready, and Lucille brightly smiled at the black-haired female since the older female looks like an enchanting fairy. 

" You look beautiful, Mama Natalie!" Lucille happily tells Natalie, which made the black-haired female fondly smiled at the blonde-haired female. 

" Thank you, Dear," Natalie fondly stared at Lucille. " We should get going since we are going to meet up with Madame Giry, who is going to take us to a nanny that will watch over Adrien for us," The black-haired female explains to the blonde-haired female. 

" Okay," Lucille politely nods her head. 

A knock on the door grabbed the two female's attention. Lucille runs up to the door, and she politely greets Madame Giry, who is wearing a dark green dress with a black floral design and a black and green feather mask. 

" You look beautiful, Madame Giry," Lucille compliments Madame Giry. 

" Thank you," Madame Giry fondly smiled as she turns to Natalie, who is carefully taking Adrien in her arms. 

" Ready?" Madame Giry politely asked the two females. 

" Lucille and I are ready," Natalie kindly smiled at Madame Giry as the two females leave the guest room with the older female. 

Madame Giry guides Lucille and Natalie to the nanny's room, where an older female politely greets them. 

" Thank you for taking your time off of your busy schedule to watch over Adrien for me," Natalie thanks the nanny. 

" You welcome," The nanny kindly smiled at Natalie as she waves goodbye to her and the two other females. 

" Mama Natalie!" Lucille takes Natalie's hand in hers, which caused the black-haired female to stare at the blonde-haired female. 

" We should wait for Papa," Lucille kindly smiled at Natalie. 

" Of course," Natalie politely nods her. 

" I will be at the ballroom then," Madame Giry excused herself as she walks away from the two females. 

" Natalie! Lucille!" Raphael calls out to the two females, dressed in blue formal attire with a blue and black feather mask as he runs up to his wife and daughter. 

" Both of you are beautiful," Raphael fondly smiled at Lucille and Natalie. 

" Thank you," Natalie and Raphael shared a kiss while Lucille giggles. 

" Let's go!" Lucille excitedly tells her parents as the three of them walked towards the ballroom. 

At the ballroom, Erik is wearing black prince-like attire with a black and golden feather mask that covers most of his face except for his lips. The black-haired male politely smiled when he sees Madame Giry approach him. 

" Madame Giry," Erik politely greets Madame Giry. 

" Erik," Madame Giry fondly smiled at Erik. 

" Lucille and her family should be here soon," Madame Giry softly tells Erik as he politely nods his head. 

" Monsieur Bernard!" Monsieur Mercier happily calls out to Raphael and his family. 

Erik turns to Monsieur Mercier, and he froze when he sees Lucille standing between Raphael and Natalie in her Masquerade attire. 

" An angel has arrived to radiate its beauty in front of us mere mortals," Erik softly tells himself as he admires Lucille from a distance.
