At the hospital

Gabby's pov
Casey's is with me every step of the way. They wheel me into a room and tell me to change into a gown. "Mat can you please help me change? I say. " sure sweetie." Mat says. He helps me change and I get into bed. About 10 minutes later the doctor come in. " how you feeling heard your water broke on the way over. " doctor Greenwood says. "I'm in pain but not to bad right now" I say "well let's check you out and see how far along you are." She says. Mat stands next to me and holds my hand. "So by the looks of it your About 6 centimeter. I'll come back and check on you in an hour in the meantime I'll hook you up to keep to an eye on the baby. " she says I get comfortable and she hooks me up. After she leaves I scoot over to make room for Mat. "Come lay with me" I say. As he lays down.

Shays pov
We head to check on Dawson before heading back to the house. Casey is laying with Mat when Sylvie and I walk in. "Hey Gabby how you doing do you know how far Along you are yet? I say I'm okay me and baby are just fine. Doctor says I'm about 6 centimeters" she says. "Well rest up will come back later we wanna go back and update the house." I say as we say goodbye and head out. Once back we update everyone. We plan on heading back to the hospital after shift.

Casey's pov
Gabby is resting beside me when. The doctor walk in. "I'm just checking on the baby's heartbeat I'll check her in 30 minutes." She says as she check the heartbeat and heads out. Gabby starts to stir awake. "What did doctor want? Gabby's says. " she was checking the baby's heartbeat. Everything's fine" I say kissing her forehead. She's looks like she's in more pain then when she got here. "Gabby you doing okay?" I think when the doctor come in I want to get an epidural " she says. About 10 minutes later the doctor walks in.

Gabby's pov.
"Alright let's see how you've progressed." She checks me and I'm about 7. "I was wondering when I can get an epidural." I ask. Your labor is slowing down. So let's get you up and walking for 30 minutes then I'll give it to you." She says. I agree with what she says. Mat helps me out of the bed and we start walk around the hospital. "Mat I need to sit for a bit." I say about halfway through our walk. He helps me sit and rubs back. Once in feeling better we head back to the room. Once back in my room the doctor gives me the epidural. "You should start to feel less pain soon I'll come check you in an hour." She says as she leaves. Just then Casey's phone went off.

Casey's pov
The doctor leaves and my phone goes off. It's chief I tell gabby as I get up.
M-"hey chief what's up?
C- " just wanted to check up on you and Gabby. How is she doing?"
M- " she's doing good. "
C- "well glad to hear. Take it easy and the firehouse and I will stop by later today."
M- " thabks chief."
"what did chief want." Gabby asks. "He was just check up on us. He said they'll stop by later. I go head Back to gabby and she lays her head on my shoulder. About 30 mins late the doctor walks in.
