Dawson's pov
I'm about to get released from the hospital. I have to stop by the firehouse and drop off my papers saying I won't be able to work till after the baby is born. "Hi chief" I say as I knock on his door. "Dawson so glad to see your doing okay. What can I do for you?" He says. "I came to drop off my Work papers. With all that's happened the doctor thinks it's best to start leave early. It's not what Mat and I planed but it's for the best." I say handing him the paperwork. "That is perfectly fine I'll try and get a fill I'm for you if not then they will run as a two man Team. Shay will be the temporary PIC." He says. " chief I also wanted to tell you I'm taking a couple days off to be with Dawson. She's been having nightmares when sleeping. I just wanna get her through the next couple of days " Casey says. "That's fine Herrmann will be acting lieutenant."chief says. We head home and take it easy. Casey took two shifts off. " I'm so glad your staying home for a few days. I don't know how I'm going to survive when you go back to work." I say as I curl up in mats arms. We are on the couch watching TV when he turns to me and says. "I'm always going to be here for your that will never change. If you wanna tell me what happened I'll be here to listen and comfort you." Mat says as he kisses my forehead. "I plan on seeing someone in two days I've already made an appointment. I want you to come with me, be in the room in case I break down." I say as he pulls me in tighter.
