At the hospital the next day

Casey's pov.
The doctor walks in and checks on Gabby. She is still knocked out from being hit. The doctor assures me the baby is doing just fine. They hope that gabby is going to wake up soon. Im sitting by Gabby's bed and holding her hand. " gabby baby you need to wake up I need you and so does out unborn baby. I say with tears steaming down my face. Everyone is so concerned about you. They all want you to wake up and come back to work. I try so hard to fight off sleep but I can't. I end up falling asleep holding Gabby's hand. About 5 hours later I'm awaken my moaning. I realize it's gabby she's awake. I stand up and kiss her. "I was so worried. I'm so happy you're awake. Let me go get the doctor. ". " no I just want it to be us and our baby for a little while." She says to me as she moves over so I can lay with her. About 20 minutes later the doctor comes in.

Doctors Halstead's pov
"Ah gabby you're awake. Glad to see that. Who are you feeling" I says. "I'm Fine sore, my head hurts. How's the baby. " Gabby asks. "Baby is fine. You should be able to go home soon. A day or two but take it easy. You can go back to work in a week." I say. I'll leave you two let me know if you need anything." "Thanks will" Mat says.

2days later

Gabby's pov.
Getting released today from the hospital. I feel great. Still a tad sore but alot better. I'm happy the baby is doing well. Mat stays with me every night I was here. He took off work and wouldn't leave my side. I'm so thankful I have him in my life. "You ready to go home?" Mat says. "Can we stop by the firehouse I wanna let everyone know how I'm doing." "Sure we can. I bet they'll be glad to see you. They wanted to come by here but they had to many calls. " he says as he helps me in the car.
