Next shift
Casey's pov

I wake up to an empty bed. I hear rustling downstairs. Gabby had spent the night. I got up and went downstairs. I saw Gabby had made us breakfast. I walk over to her "morning beautiful" "morning you. I've got breakfast ready. We have to leave for shift in 30 mins" she says as I wrap my arms around her. We finish breakfast up and get ready for shift. We take two different cars so people don't suspected anything. It's kinda frowned upon to date in house. Just before she hops in her car I give her one last kiss. When we pull apart she says " you be careful out there today. "

Dawson's pov
I get to the firehouse as everyone else is arriving. I see Casey I smile and he gives me a wink. I don't think anyone else saw it. Shay runs up to me and says "spill the beans." She says it kinda loudly. Hey not here "shhhh" I say giggling. so she grabs me and we head to the locker room to get changed out.

Shay pov
"So so come on spill Dawson. I know something happened the way you two look at each other. Plus you can't stop smiling. You have this glow about you" I say sitting on the bench in the locker room. She joins me. "So as you know Casey almost got hurt, well he then realized that he couldn't be without me. He came over to my place things happened and the rest is history." Dawson says with a big smile. We get up and walk to the common room and grab coffee. Just as I'm about to sit down the alarms go off.

Ambulance 61 truck 81 squad 3 battalion chief 25 accident on Ridgeway Rd.

Casey pov
We all hop in the truck sirens blaring. We arrive at the accident and it's a three car pile up. "Cruz, Herrmann get the blue SUV. Cap, Otis your on the second car. Mouch, Mills with me on the red SUV." I say we run over to the SUV it's front end was crunched. There's a woman in the front seat and a kid in the back. The kid seems fine just a little freaked out. He keeps saying help my mom. Mouch asked him what his name is. The kid says Cody. He must of been about 8. "Ok Cody we are gonna get you out " Mills says as I'm working on trying to get the mother out but the door is jammed. "Get the halligan" i tell mouch. I jam it in the door frame and yell "strike, strike, strike" as mouch hits the end of the halligan. On the last strike I'm able to pry the door open. I get on the raido and call for Dawson to get a c-collar and a backboard.

Dawson's pov
I hear over the raido from Casey to get a backboard and a c-collar. I rush over to him. I put the c-collar on the woman. I tell the guys on three we move the woman. "One two three easy guys alright let's load her up. The kid can ride in the back with his mom." I say. Shay drives and I'm in the back. I hear the little kid ask if his mom's gonna be okay. Yeah I say she'll be just fine nothing majors wrong with her. We arrive at the hospital and hand the kid and his mom over. I fill out the paperwork and we leave.
