Hey babe can you come here. I want you to feel Jace. He seems warm to me but he's got no fever. Mat walks into the nursery and over to feel Jace. "Let's just keep and eye on it. Let's go eat. I made dinner." He says as he guides me and Jace downstairs. "Smells amazing. What is it?" I ask. "Chicken cordon blue. One of your favorites." He says as I sit down at the table and he puts Jace in his highchair. We finish up dinner and head to the couch. "Hey so I was thinking we could start planning Jace's one year birthday. Since its coming up soon." I say. "Yeah what did you have in mind?" He asks. "I wanna keep it to family so that includes 51 and Antonio's people we know. I was thinking a theme of firefighters and rescue vehicles. We could order a cake with a truck and ambo on it." I say. "Sounds perfect to me" he says pulling me and Jace in closer. About 4 hours later we get Jace ready for bed. It take him awhile to go to sleep. I walk downstairs with the monitor and curl up with Mat. We are about 20 minutes into the movie when Jace starts crying. "I'll go take care of him." Mat says. I lay on the couch and wait for Mat. I must if drifted off because the next thing I see is Mat kneeling next to the couch gently waking me. "Babe it's getting late let's get you to bed." He says. We crawl in bed around 10 I'm hoping to get a full nights sleep. Im awaken at 1 am by Jace crying. I get up and feed him and put him back in his crib 40 minutes later. Then head back to bed. Another 2 hours later hes crying again. I can't seem to get him to settle down. Mat gets up with me this time. "He won't calm down." I say. "Let's bring him into our room. He can sleep with us. Lay him on your chest" mat says. I finally fall back to sleep around 5 in the am after putting Jace in the pack and play next to me only to be woken by Jace at 7:40
