Next Shift

Sylvie's pov
"Emily Daniel's female 22 complaining of abdomen pain has high fever." I say handing over her to the nurse. "We got it from here" they say. "Hey can you guys get the paperwork I wanna go check on Kelly since we're here. I won't be long I promise" I ask them. "Sure will take care of the paperwork. We might even pop in to say a quick hi to him." Dawson says. I head up to Kelly's room he has no clue I'm stopping by. I walk into his room and his face lights up. "Babe what are you doing here? I thought you had shift?" He says to me. "We dropped off a patient so I thought I'd come up and say hi. I've missed you." I say as I walk over and kiss him. "I've missed you too" he says returning the kiss to me. "How you feeling today?" I ask him. "Ready to get out of this place." He says to me. Just then Dawson and Shay walk in. "Glad to see you're doing better." Shay says. "Yeah the house misses you" Dawson says. "I miss them too. I'll be out if here in 3 days. Hopefully" he says. "Well we better get going. I'll stop by after shift to see you. I love you" I say giving him a kiss. "Can't wait. Love you too babe." He says as he kisses me back and I head out with Shay and Dawson.
